Solid build, some thoughts: * You can get better value with a Hyper 212 or an eSports Duo cooler. * You're spending quite a bit extra on a Z490 motherboard just for 3200 MHz RAM. Since the 10700F would normally be capped at 2933 MHz, you're only getting +200 MHz, which imo isn't worth it. * I like the SSD choice * The BX500 doesn't have DRAM, which I'd recommend in general even for a secondary drive except in certain scenarios (like with the SN550). The WD Blue (SATA) has DRAM for only $10 more. * Monitor is preference but I think you're leaving performance on the table if you're capping yourself at 75 Hz. Even if you prefer visual quality instead, you're objectively not using the full potential of the 3080 since it can easily give you 100+ FPS at 1440p. * Solid keyboard choice

>You can get better value with a Hyper 212 or an eSports Duo cooler All of these cool well. At this point it just comes down to sound - dark rock 4 is the inarguable leader >You're spending quite a bit extra on a Z490 motherboard just for 3200 MHz RAM. Since the 10700F would normally be capped at 2933 MHz, you're only getting +200 MHz, which imo isn't worth it. It can be overclocked to 3600 or even 4000. What's the problem? And Z490 means further possible upgrades to 11th gen >The BX500 doesn't have DRAM, which I'd recommend in general even for a secondary drive except in certain scenarios (like with the SN550). The WD Blue (SATA) has DRAM for only $10 more For me it's a waste of money on a secondary drive. I originally wanted to get an HDD but they are loud and pretty slow, so settled for this one. And I don't think it's really possible to fill up 2.5tb of SSD storage with games and files (like, I have a 240gb ssd and 1tb HDD yet still have plenty of empty space while having at least 15 games installed >Monitor is preference but I think you're leaving performance on the table if you're capping yourself at 75 Hz. Even if you prefer visual quality instead, you're objectively not using the full potential of the 3080 since it can easily give you 100+ FPS at 1440p You are overpaying 200$ for 144Hz. Double the price, basically. At this point you might aswell get a separate 27" FHD 144Hz for eSports titles

> At this point it just comes down to sound fair point but I think they'd all be relatively the same with a 65W TDP CPU. > It can be overclocked OP said they don't want to :( > For me it's a waste of money on a secondary drive fair enough, people have used DRAMless SSD's for a long time and it's not like there's a massive detriment to them. Just peace of mind for me. > You are overpaying 200$ for 144Hz Guess it boils down to how you value your money, I can't make that decision for you. But I think it's safe to say that 99% of gamers will want 100+ FPS because that's one of the main selling points of PC's over consoles. You can also grow into the monitor, but the 3080 will be perfect at that res/framerate. > get a separate 27" FHD 144Hz for eSports titles 27" at 1080p is stretch resolution, can see pixels in certain scenarios. eSports players also prefer a smaller screen for less real-estate for their eyes to keep track of. Not to mention, a 3080 for 1080p 144 Hz is an even bigger waste of money.

>OP said they don't want to :( As if setting an XMP profile is so hard to do and dangerous for the system >27" at 1080p is stretch resolution, can see pixels in certain scenarios. eSports players also prefer a smaller screen for less real-estate for their eyes to keep track of. Not to mention, a 3080 for 1080p 144 Hz is an even bigger waste of money I like my 27 inch full HD. I don't see the pixels at all (maybe because I sit at 1.5 hands distance?), so I can definitely say it's good. And it would be a waste if the 1080p was the only monitor. Because, y'know, some whiny bitches complain about 120fps in cs:go...

> As if setting an XMP profile is so hard to do I mean, it's one thing to select an XMP profile for an advertised 3600 MHz kit since the profile is already set up, but it's another to manually increase clocks and set timings in the BIOS. A 3200 MHz kit isn't going to come with a pre-loaded XMP profile for 4000 MHz. > I like my 27 inch full HD To each their own. I could notice the pixels on mine, especially in text. The app names on the desktop were especially bad for me, so it annoyed me to no end.

Everyone has an opinion and the right to have it (don't look at China lol)

I like the pick of the 10700F here, high single core performance with 8c/16t for longevity. Since it's a relatively low-powered CPU, the eSports Duo will be plenty here and will perform quietly. I chose a high value B460 motherboard with lots of connectivity. I gave you 16 GB of standard 3000 MHz CL16 RAM, since the 10700F is capped at 2933 MHz anyways. A high-speed 500 GB NVMe SSD for a primary, and a 2 TB SSD for a secondary. Placeholder for any RTX 3080 you can find. High airflow case in the 4000D Airflow. As the name suggests, great airflow and temps with the cutouts in the front panel and two included fans. It also has amazing cable management in the back. I chose a reliable 750W Gold PSU. It has semi-modular cables to reduce cable clutter, and has excellent protections. You get that good SeaSonic quality. I also added a fan for more airflow and positive pressure, which will reduce dust buildup in the case. I'd move the two case fans to front intake and install this one as rear exhaust for visual consistency. The monitor is a 1440p 144 Hz display. It is an IPS panel for great colour accuracy and viewing angles. It has a high peak brightness at 350 nits and is HDR 400 compatible. It also has an adjustable height for ergonomics. Finally, the keyboard is an entry-level enthusiast 60% keyboard, which means you sacrifice the numpad, arrow keys, and fn row in exchange for portability and maximum space for your mouse. It has amazing build quality for the price and RGB backlighting as well, if that's your thing. I chose Cherry Reds but obviously you have your pick. Let me know what you think :)

I think it might work, thank you!
