Plummer certainly had the versatility with 219 movies to his name vs Sutherland's 200 and Plummer could sing. Also, the average IMDB rating for Plummer movies are higher. Sutherland did a lot of sub-6 rated films.
She was the most recognisable woman in the world in her day and was one of the 36 founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. She won the second ever award for Best Actress for her first sound film in 1929
I mean to be fair I don't think many put Keanu in the category of great actor but rather great human being and probably most down to earth celebrity on earth.
He was a good duo with Gene Wilder in the slightly obscure film "Start the Revolution Without Me". I wish they did more comedies together, a la Gene and Richard Pryor.
He played the role of the sullen, detached, by-the-book Klute very well.
I always said that if Donald Sutherland was in the movie, it would be a good watch. That logic did not fail me.
RIP Donald Sutherland, we will miss you.
Hey how was that? Haven't got around to watching it yet. My neice said it was kinda slow, but she's just some stupid teenager and I'm a genius 40 year old...😉
It was pretty long, and yeah slow at times. It gives some decent insight on the early days, when the hunger games was just in a small arena. I rented it on amazon, but if you wait a few months it'll probably be on a normal service.
Ah cool thanks. Will probably just wait then. I haven't seen Dune 2 yet and was thinking that might be the first video I rent since blockbuster died that horrible crash.
I was actually shocked by how good it was. They did a really good job adapting the visual tone and art direction to be a prequel of the existing movies.
I'd like to recommend a great little Canadian movie he did in 1997 with Ben Kingsley and Adrian Quinn, called "The Assignment":
"Think of it as 'Fucking for your country".
_Ordinary People_ and the 1978 remake of _Invasion of the Body Snatchers_ were the movies I'll always remember him in, but he always did a fantastic job in whatever role he played. What a loss.
I used to smoke pot with his ex Shirley Douglas. She had alot to say about Donald, which I will not nor ever reveal here, but she loved Kiefer very much, and was proud of him. Shirley said there's some Donald in my boy - nobody's perfect. 🇨🇦 Rest in Peace, sir. You did Canada proud.
Going to be weird with him gone...he seemed like an old man/grand-fatherly figure for my entire life and I am in my 40s. He was just always there. Sad, RIP.
To me his most underrated role was in JFK. When a movie has Gary Oldman, Kevin Bacon, Tommy Lee Jones, John Candy, Joe Pesci, Wayne Knight, Kevin Costner and Walter Mathau and your 5 minutes is the best part, you are doing it right. His scenes were chilling
Damn, he was one of the greats. I remember seeing him recently in Ad Astra from 2019 and browsing his credits, it looks like he was still acting up until pretty recently. RIP
MASH, Invasion of the body snatchers, The Dirty Dozen...
Kelly's Heroes. :-)
No negative waves man...
My favourite scene https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dyNnvzn9bOw&pp=ygUkS2VsbHlzIGhlcm9lcyBlYXJpbmcgd2luZSBhbmQgY2hlZXNl
Sgt. Oddball.
1978 Invasion of the Body Snatchers is one of the best horror films.
Kate Bush’s Cloudbuster video
Yes, I'd forgotten about that. Then we'd better include a version of Utah Saints Something Good that had him in clips.
Finest kind!
> The Dirty Dozen that and the movie the Fallen are my 1st memories of him. great actor. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallen_(1998_film)
Animal House!!
Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Wow. You guys are still around?
Do you guys ever stop?
The truth never dies
And what truth is that exactly? He was a 88 year old man.
Might be our country’s finest actor. RIP to a legend of film.
He was the guy who made Joss Whedon quit the Buffy The Vampire Slayer movie because he preferred making up his own dialogue.
Yes, he had a reputation for being hard to work with. Still a great actor though.
Knowing what we know about Whedon now, this is a Sutherland W.
Christopher Plummer
Good shout, idk if he had the versatility Sutherland did, though.
Plummer certainly had the versatility with 219 movies to his name vs Sutherland's 200 and Plummer could sing. Also, the average IMDB rating for Plummer movies are higher. Sutherland did a lot of sub-6 rated films.

Show Keanu some respect ✊
I mean to be fair I don't think many put Keanu in the category of great actor but rather great human being and probably most down to earth celebrity on earth.
Great action star, but let’s be honest, not the best actor
I love Keanu...but no lol
Michael J. Fox wants a word with you, Biff.
Keanu is a great movie star; I don't know if he's a great actor. He's also an amazing human being.
And a great voice actor for commercials.
He was a good duo with Gene Wilder in the slightly obscure film "Start the Revolution Without Me". I wish they did more comedies together, a la Gene and Richard Pryor. He played the role of the sullen, detached, by-the-book Klute very well.
Oh crap. That's a big one. One of the greats! 88 is a pretty good run. RIP sir
I always said that if Donald Sutherland was in the movie, it would be a good watch. That logic did not fail me. RIP Donald Sutherland, we will miss you.
He was a great actor, he played every role with style, bad guy, good guy, funny and crazy, and did it well and with a smile, he will be missed
So weird. I was just yesterday looking him up and wondering what he was up to these days. Sad.
Same, I was watching the hunger games prequel, which is about his characters early years
Hey how was that? Haven't got around to watching it yet. My neice said it was kinda slow, but she's just some stupid teenager and I'm a genius 40 year old...😉

Dune 2 is on crave now if you have that, or know someone who does. They added it like 2 days after I watched it on amazon
I was actually shocked by how good it was. They did a really good job adapting the visual tone and art direction to be a prequel of the existing movies.
Honest to God legend, what a career, what a life. RIP
Might be our country’s finest actor. RIP to a legend if film.
Never nominated for or won an Oscar. Travesty...
Great actor! He will be missed

RIP to a fantastic actor. My favorites he starred in are MASH, Dirty Dozen, and Hunger Games.
A great actor and proud Canadian
The actor, the voice, the calm.....time waits for no man, but this one stings more than most. RIP
Woof woof woof, woof woof.

Well, that is sad news. One of Canada’s Greats.
I was thinking I was due for a re-watch of *Six Degrees of Separation*. Tonight might just have to be the night.
A terrible day for Canada, and therefore for the world.
My life hasn’t changed one bit. Dont be so dramatic.
Goated actor.
My favourite was Eye of the Needle, rest in peace Donald.
RIP 💔
Rip
Going to be weird with him gone...he seemed like an old man/grand-fatherly figure for my entire life and I am in my 40s. He was just always there. Sad, RIP.
RIP Mr. Sutherland Fantastic actor.
Oddball
RIP, a great actor
R.I.P, thanks for the memories
We are losing so many legends and they aren't being replaced by new legends
What a legend. He was, imho, one of the greatest actors of our time.
A veritable icon of the screen, he is fantastic. 88 is a nice age, I hope to make it to that age
The Eagle has Landed.
Watching Citizen X now.
Noooooo!! Oddball!!
Man I'm so sorry.

A great Canadian actor and Liberal.
HE WAS ONE OF OURS?!
Damn, he was one of the greats. I remember seeing him recently in Ad Astra from 2019 and browsing his credits, it looks like he was still acting up until pretty recently. RIP
He was an absolutely fantastic actor. Hopefully more people will be exposed go his work in the coming weeks. May he rest in peace- a great Canadian.
Such a loss for Canadian film. Rip, man, you were awesome.
Thank You for your legacy
Great actor , such a loss
Awe man no way, I just watched Lockup last night too
