The funniest possible outcome tonight would be we're down 1 late, pull Lindgren and tie with like 1:30 left, the flyers then pull their goalie and Ovi pots an empty netter to win. It would be stressful af but man would it be worth it lol

Teams needing the win would pull their goalies in a tied game and it would get kinda crazy.
Y’all are assuming the caps aren’t liable to give up 3 in the first and trail the rest of the game. Love my boys, but they haven’t been on their best. Last night vs Boston was great but they weren’t playing for keeps exactly. Last night almost felt like a gift. But hey let me be wrong, I’d be a whole lot happier.
Another reason to pull for MTL. Not only do we need MTL to win if we only pick up 1 points, but it will keep the Flyers thinking they have a chance late...

Wonder how often in NHL history both teams have pulled the goalie (not including on delayed penalties) in a game.

Win we're in. Pens are a point behind us and we have a better RW record than Detroit.
i mean the part about the Flyers needing 2 points. if they lose to us in OT and only get 1 point, do the Pens have the tie-breaker against them?
Tie breaker goes to the Pens, Pens have more RW's If the Flyers win, Detroit has to lose and Pens have to lose for Philly to get in.
