I can usually find discontinued sets on eBay. Might take a while though.

I’ve tried eBay. I think just time and patience. One set it quite niche…so anyone who did buy it, may not want to give it up. The other has a stamp that is a pun on my family name, and I only want that particular stamp. The hunt continues :)

Mercari and ebay are the only places I've found retired papercrafting gear. On ebay, I have saved searches set so I get a notification when someone puts up a listing. I do feel your pain, too! I discovered Lil' Inker a year *after* the business closed.

If you are on Facebook there are some resell pages/groups where you can sometimes find retired sets. I see some that are generic or company specific

Hi. This always happens to me. I'll decide to be frugal and then kick myself later when something sells out! I recently had absolutely the best luck on [splitcoaststampers.com](http://splitcoaststampers.com) in finding a stamp set I really wanted but couldn't find anywhere. (It had been a special, limited edition collaboration between two companies and sold out quickly.) I hadn't been on [Splitcoaststampers.com](http://Splitcoaststampers.com) for a very long time but decided to take a look there. They have an "In Search Of" forum and I put in my request with a photo. Would you believe not even two days later someone had seen my post, replied that they had the set (new in package, never used) and would send it to me for free because they were trying to destash?!! I was and still am flabbergasted at their generosity and how fast it happened! Don't give up!

That is awesome! I really like splitcoaststampers.co. their tutorials are great!

OutsideCheetah

Didn’t know splitcoast was still around! Good to know.

You might want to check Frantic Stamper. They carry a lot of different companies and I’ve seen some old sets on their website.

PreservingThePast

Check the website (mftstamps.com) for My Favorite Things as they will frequently bring back retired or discontinued stamps & dies. Send an email to their customer service to see if they might have any info on the products you are looking for. Happy Crafting! 😊

I've found some sets I missed out on on Etsy.
