2 years to me is an acceptable amount of time at a job and ultimately your happiness is more important than someone’s opinion of your corporate loyalty.

Two years has long been considered the standard amount of time. Though, we’ve also talked to career experts who say that “[job-hopping](https://www.gobankingrates.com/money/jobs/i-regret-my-new-job-now-what/)” isn’t so much the deal-breaker it once was if you’ve had a fairly consistent work history. But, it does boil down to those things that you’re already thinking about–your finances, the field you’re working in and are passionate about, and your reasons for leaving. Hope you find your footing soon–best of luck!

thanks for the response ! i guess i was just worried about my first job since it was during covid. however once i begin explaining my situation, it seems that more and more people are more receptive to what had happened.
