I’ll give it to him in this instance. This is a collectors car that’s been lovingly restored. I’d estimate somewhere between 60-100K in value depending on what’s been done to it. I’ll take eye rolls and judgement any day over having to repair a door ding or messed up fender.
As someone that has owned a few collectors cars in my lifetime you wouldn't catch me dead parking one in a mainstream parking lot much less parked like this. It is beyond douchey and is inviting even more damage than if it was parked normally.
A car like this gets parked at the far end of a lot aisles away from the nearest car, otherwise just drive the family truckster and park like a normal person.
Also, it gives a reason for the old lady who gets mad to key your car. You can park the car in the back with no other cars around. Don't give douche bags like you excuses.
Gorgeous. One of the things I don't always love about restro-mod muscle cars is the massive modern wheels tucked way up into the arches. This looks a bit high, but still really good.
“Dead way to tell *on* first gen F-bodies,” implying that the squared wheel wells would be a 69 exclusive, and a dead way to tell the model year apart on first gens.
I was going to ask if this was taken near me because it looks familiar, but I realized that strip malls exactly like this one exist just about everywhere in the United States.
Those look like minilites, they were found on race cars in the 60s. They were the inspiration for Watanabes.

Now this is what I call carport only thing better would be if it was a 71 Chevelle some and my dad built 1 buy never quite got it finished and to this day its just sitting in the garage I can't bring myself to finish it it just doesn't feel right without him here
Parked like a true douche
Looks like this might be a car meet considering the spattering of nice cars around plus red Nissan shitbox
rude, i think xterras are neat
I drove a 2wd one with a broken air conditioner for 5 years. Fuck that piece of shit. Never will buy another Nissan ever again.
Was it just the air conditioner or was it other stuff too?
It also had an oil leak. Lord knows what else. I sold it
Had a brand new 4WD one for a while Loved it.
Xterras 4 lyfe
Nah. If I had to park next to a Nissan and had a car like that, I'm being a douchebag too.

Near me people go out if their way to park by you if you did distance your car. Can’t win for losing. 🤷🏼♂️
Looks like he's in the lines it just might be to accommodate the long outswing of the driver side door. Still a little douchie but I get why.
it is a Camaro....do ppl other than "true douches" buy Camaro's?. My older brother bought his when he turned 18, AGHAHAHAHA
Go talk to a professional about how your brother treated you.
believe it or not....I've had years of therapy!

Not really, cars like this get a pass with parking so that nobody hits them
How does that logic even work? Because of what he is doing, someone can now park closer to him.
How was the torchy’s tacos though?
I’m not a fan of Torchy’s. They are a little hyped up for the quality of taco in my opinion but to each their own :)
Their queso is on point but I’m with you overall.
Without queso/salsa you run the risk of choking on dry tortilla/potato
Ponying up a few more bucks at El Tiempo is advisable.

Chip Foose has entered the chat 🤮
You ever notice he never puts mirrors on the cars?
See that is in the DTC area. Nice..
The building in the background is quite distinctive. Recognized it immediately.
About to say the same thing haha!
if only he KNEW HOW TO PARK
Is it 4WD? Because it certainly has enough ground clearance.
Looks like it's ready to get beat on. ❤️
Nice to see Centennial here on Reddit, I'd recognize that building anywhere!
Plaza Tower 1 🥹
For a second i thought this was posted to r/shittycarmods I came into the comment section ready to die.
Hah. I thought I was in r/badparking and thought, "It's not *that* bad, right?" :D
Well, it is, but not to a karma-farming degree
Does anyone know the exact model?
69. Only one with flat fender tops.
Definitely a ‘69
Thank you
Looks like a 68 to me. Edit: I was wrong. It’s a 69.
Square wheel wells. Dead way to tell on first gen F-Bodies.
Thanks. I knew it wasn’t a 70 or newer.
Actually, 67 and 68 has pretty round wheel arches. 69 is more squared. This is a 69
That’s what I said.
You said all first gen has squared wheel well arches, and I corrected you saying 67 and 68 has very rounded wheel arches.
“Dead way to tell *on* first gen F-bodies,” implying that the squared wheel wells would be a 69 exclusive, and a dead way to tell the model year apart on first gens.
Ah, sorry, because the comment you replied to said it was a 68 I misunderstood what you meant.
All good
69, not 68
Can't park for shit, but what a car.
Kind of a weird wheel and tire choice
Odd headlights and choice of front badge too
Those headlights... eesh that's aggressively ugly for my taste
That used to be the hot wheel and tire set up. Well, that or centrelines or cragars. This is how these cars were designed to look
They put RS Watanabe 8 spokes on it, the same as the famous Akina 86 from Initial D, can't imagine they put them on without being a fan of the show.
Lol. You're just showing everybody how clueless you are about that style of wheel and the history behind them.
Mini-lites and enough tire to actually abuse this thing? I have disagree.
Did you get some Crumbl Cookies while you were there?
Beautiful
Do all the cars in Colorado have temp plates?
That car looks like this: 😳
It loses points due to the parking
I was going to ask if this was taken near me because it looks familiar, but I realized that strip malls exactly like this one exist just about everywhere in the United States.
Nice
Why’s it parked like that?
Now that's a Camaro. love that inverted Chevy logo front under scoop. ![gif](giphy|GCvktC0KFy9l6|downsized)
Admiring that M3 though
When the bmw does a better job at parking
They can park just fine Its the signaling they have a problem with
A Camaro with watanabes? Looks cool, glad it doesn't have ultra low profile tires on it.
Those look like minilites, they were found on race cars in the 60s. They were the inspiration for Watanabes. https://bringatrailer.com/2019/02/07/great-wheels-minilites-their-many-imitators/
Ooof. Might be nice if you lower it and get some new wheels and tires…
Don’t hate on minilights
These pasty, pepto bismol colors can hurry up and pass as a fad
Wow. I love it.
I actually like the height. Reminds of the 4x4 Mustang in the movie Cherry 2000 (horrible movie. Lol)
Those lights! 🥰
More like a "Ch-heavy"
Resto-mod Camaros are the sickest
That’s hot
Chevy never made the Camaro, Bitchn did.
L car slow as fuck can gap it pretty easy with my golf gti
Now this is what I call carport only thing better would be if it was a 71 Chevelle some and my dad built 1 buy never quite got it finished and to this day its just sitting in the garage I can't bring myself to finish it it just doesn't feel right without him here
I don't say that it has to have massive intake over good, but gosh.. It misses so much exhaust pipes under threshold..
Woah I actually really like this.
dang that's right by me, wish I saw it
Is this in south Denver? I think I went to a BMW meet there a few months ago!
What lights are those?
