Epic, dark, and cheesy with fantastic animation and an iconic hair metal soundtrack. I love that it had the balls to kill off a ton of major characters, even if it was mainly a merchandising decision. All the fatalities actually made the story feel like it had major stakes involved.
Plus Leonard Nimoy, Robert Stack, Eric Idle, and freaking Orson Welles doing voices alongside Peter Cullen and Frank Welker? It’s an 80’s classic.
Awesome, it's better then the live action attempts. Admittedly if you don't like Transformers or
weren't super into them as a kid, then you probably won't like this movie. But still it's pretty great for what it is. Also: Orson Welles.
You know what I did this morning? I played the voice of a toy. Some terrible robot toys from Japan that changed from one thing to another. The Japanese have funded a full-length animated cartoon about the doings of these toys, which is all bad outer-space stuff. I play a planet. I menace somebody called Something-or-other. Then I'm destroyed. My plan to destroy Whoever-it-is is thwarted and I tear myself apart on the screen.
I really enjoyed this movie. It was a lot better than G.I.-Joe the Movie, bringing in new characters and leading into season 3.
The animation and music were great.
I only watched this film once and have VERY vague memories about it.
BUT...it's quite honestly one of the best transformers movies to date, at least in my opinion.
Best Transformers movie ever made. I recently had the sheer privilege to introduce it to my 5 year old son. He loves it as well.
But I still want to know what happened to Cyclonus's Armada.

"Now, light our darkest hour!"
YOU GOT THE TOUCH….YOU GOT THE POWER

You got the touch! But seriously, watching Optimus go down was very emotional.

They really regretted killing Optimus in this movie considering how they brought him back twice after this lol.
Probably my favorite animated 80s movie
YOU GOT THE TOUCH
YOU GOT THE POWER
One of the best two hour long advertisements I've ever seen five times. I enjoy showing it to people I care about.
This is still The Movie for me. Got to see it in theaters when I was little. Could have easily been Shakespeare for me at that age.
Bar weep grana weep ninnibong
PREPARE FOR EXTERMINATION
Even though I wasn't born then,it still holds up well. The cheesy dialog is laughable😂😂
I remember reading only the comic book adaptation of the movie and liking it.
Fantastic beginning and end but I felt the middle was a bit of a slog. The junkions, Wheelie, etc...
Peak
The best soundtrack in an animated movie. Better than any musical, and it's really only rivaled by Titan AE in that regard. Second note, Orson Welles
An amazing movie. Best transformers movie by a landslide. This movie introduced so many things to the transformers series.
Best transformer film ever.
![gif](giphy|im1xKpjEwdQuk) Awesome 🤜🏽🤛🏽
Loved it. I watched this so many times.

Never seen it
Ba-weh Ba-weh something!
Hope you got the toys

The greatest movie ever made.
