These look like the white Russian marshmallows that I used to steal from the baker who hated me (she already hated me when I stole them), when I was a fine dining line cook

Tell me more about those marshmallows.

This was probably 6 or 7 years ago, and they went on a really elegant plated dessert (something with chocolate mousse probably). The top layer was a vanilla flavor, and the bottom was kahlua flavor. They were so pillowy and soft

Thank you for the idea! I make marshmallows for Christmas gifts. I make a bunch of different flavours, my favourite being London fog with a vanilla layer and an earl grey tea layer. I could have fun making different cocktail flavours.

She also looks like she could have ragdoll in her. All the floof! She actually looks a lot like my now deceased mitted seal point ragdoll. Just without the white bits. I shed a little tear because OP's cat reminds me of her. She's still missed so much. I love seeing cats who remind me of her. Hug your kitties tight! I say as I look over to my other cat currently snoring away on the laundry basket.

My ex isn't colourblind but he always mixed up brown and grey. It's almost like he learned the wrong word for each colour but it wasn't that because I've come across several men who mix them up.

The dark gray one is brown because " he looks brown in the light", she has a really bad stigmatism which may play a factor. She constantly calls the tiger 'the gray boy'. They are both boys. My only other cat is a tortie. 🙃

A lot of people are chiming in Seal point. May I ask what makes a cat a seal point? And are there other types of points?

The colorpoint gene in cats that produces the pattern for Siamese/Burmese/Ragdoll/etc. breeds and colorpoint SIC's (standard-issue cats) is a temperature dependent albino gene. It dilutes out color in all the warm areas of the body, leaving the cooler extremities the original, underlying coat color. A seal point cat would have been a black cat but has the colorpoint gene, diluting it to a black to dark brown on the points and brown to cream on the warm core-body areas. Other coat colors have their own "XX-point" names- a gray cat becomes a lilac point, an orange cat becomes a flame point, a tabby cat becomes a lynx point, torti becomes torti point, etc. Tuxedo-cat style white patches are produced by a different mechanism and therefore overlay the colorpoint scheme, so "snowshoe" colorpoints can often have the white face blaze and white feet/chest on top of their colorpoint scheme. that's my favorite- seal point or dark lynx point with white face and feet

Underrated comment

Seal point is what happens when a black (or tuxedo) cat carries the dilution gene that causes the fur color to fade on the warmer parts of the body. The collective term for this color is “colorpoint”. Colorpoint cats can come in different colors and patterns including grey (called blue), red (called flame), and various tabby colors (called lynx point), but they will always have blue eyes as the dilution gene is a form of albinism. It’s not related to a breed. Pointed cats have the same color mapping gene as pointed rabbits. Here’s my seal mitted mutt kitty, I got him from the shelter. He was a random bred farm cat from Wyoming. He is essentially a tuxedo cat with the colorpoint dilute gene that makes his fur lighter on the warmest parts of his body. Points like this. With pigmentation on ears feet and tail is a genetic coloring trait where the warmer body regions have little to no pigmentation. The word before “point” describes the color of the pigment that shows. So you have seal points, flame points, etc. I have a street cat that was a white kitten and now has orange points. His attitude is all orange boi with the added demanding vocals of a Siamese diva. It's a color style of Birmin cats. Seal points have the traditional markings of the breed, but they are very dark. Blue (?)points have the same markings, but are instead grey. I think it's blue point, my parents had 2 Birmins years ago and I'm trying to pull from memory. I think there's also a 3rd point that's fairly recent.

General points (not tied to specific breeds) can be seal, chocolate, lilac, blue, flame, uhhh....cinnamon, maybe. There's quite a few points colors depending on breed!

I was just telling my husband I always thought Siamese were assholes growing up *just* because of that scene/song. Now we have a Siamese and I was so misled!

Apparently that’s what they wanted you to think though so it worked! I wasn’t old enough to understand the apparent racism in the song, like I said I just looked it up and was made aware of it. We had some Siamese when I was younger and all I remember is they were talkers… like never stopped meowing and it wasn’t a normal meow, it was like a yowling!! I thought the song was just signifying they were chatty cats.

I have a fairly chatty SIC and am now wondering if would happen if I got a Siamese.

Siamese are known for being some of the most social breeds among cats, probably a feature of being the oldest stabilized cat breed.

they can be ”assholes“ if scared… my ex and i got a siam kitten. apparently she was to early from her mom seperated and became ill after 2 days with us. so we go to the vet and this little kitten, at her first chance, jumped mid air made a kung fu strike in the blink of an eye vanished into an corner and me and the vet got seriously scratched and blood was everywhere. The Vet looked like a mess and boi was she angry😅 I was bleeding on her floor standing in a pool of blood. After collecting ourselves, cookie (the cat) got sedated and had to sleep overnight there as far as i remember.

One of my first cats was a Siamese stray that walked in our house and stayed. She was so nice and sweet. Very chatty and seemed to follow a conversation. Followed me around everywhere. Boy I miss her still.

My ragdoll fucked around with a purebred Siamese and pooped out 6 clones of herself she did the same with my bluepoint ragdoll, only a single kitten survived so we kept her and now I have two cats that I can't tell apart from one another haha
