TomTom seems to really be happy that orange is there from his meows it sounded non-territorial. It is really cute. Have the like interacted before? Look at each other directly through a screen, sniffing one another? If so that TomTom seems happy orange came to visit sometimes!
Totally gotta ask the housemates!
The orange one is such a cutie and for some reason lets me cuddle him (but doesn’t let our neighbors)! I really want to take him in but my cat is FIV+, and I really don’t know what to do/how to deal with it
Like deal with the possibility that the orange one doesn’t have it and risking passing it to him/her (I also have no clue if it’s a girl or a boy, this shows how clueless I am)
Yeah like reverse Calico. But let it be known, they have few brain cells. Mine is a Calico with orange spots, the extra half a brain cell she has don't do much. But god damn it is she a lovable piece of shit.
I have done some research and I will probably check with the vet too. The orange cat had a nasty cut/bite the other day, so I would not exclude the possibility that he/she is FIV+ as well
You cat isn't yowlling, hissing or growling through the window, so I think he's just excited and curious, and wants to maybe make friends.
You might end up with a regular visitor for playdates, or as you suspect....another cat. ![img](emote|t5_2qhta|7952)

Update: the orange cat has made his move and waited for me in front of my door🙄 seems like someone is about to get a new home🥹
His name is now OJ
Oh me and the neighbor actually take care of the orange cat! We make sure there’s always food and water, especially during this heat wave.
Pretty confident that it is the cat of the apartment complex, someone else has been providing for sure😅
Looks like the cat distribution system to me! I'd take in the orange one and introduce them to each other slowly. (I would keep them in adjoining rooms for awhile so they can smell each other and stick paws under the door...then when all is going well you can truly introduce them to each other. This has worked for me several times.) Best wishes.
I mean, they kinda met already, since the orange decided that it was a great idea to enter in the house and go face to face with TomTom.
No one got hurt, no hissing, just a lot of talking from both sides 😂
I think the orange would take the chance! Your kitty seems very curious and would maybe love to have a new friend;)
You are so convincing! 🤣😫 Look how in a few days I’ll have two cats🙄🥹
Please update us ;) sending all 3 of you calm thoughts and vibes
I will update you! I actually need to understand if it’s someone else’s cat first, would not want to snatch him from someone😅

I wonder if I should bring TomTom out with his leash and see what happens, really worried about that cause what if they fight😭
Yes! Please! 💙

Being solid orange the chances are 4 to 1 it’s a boy so I would assume that for now.
Oh okay! I didn’t know that! Also I already gave him a name, so I guess homeboy is about to get adopted 😂🫣

I mean, it’s not like Tuxedos have better working brain cells 🤣
Do some research on FIV pos cat living with a non FIV cat and the risks.

Friends!!!!
I feel like these two friends are about to become brothers

He made his move and started purring at me, how can I say no?😭😭
You're safe until he brings out The Silent Meow. 🥹
Yeah I’m gonna cry and open my door for him😂
Excellent. Let us know how it goes!
I will!!

This is what happens when you leave the cat food out a little too long... suddenly your one cat has a new best friend. 😅
Rhetorical question
You know it😂
its the cat distribution system at work
I feel like they’re plotting to convince me😂
Yes and no… they are different cats but they are one in the mind aka a hivemind
They’re plotting against me, they’re doing all this so that I end up with two cats… and they might win🫣
Pretty sure I heard “Larry” in that meowing. So I guess we know the orange cat’s name now
😂😂 TomTom is really talkative, one time I was sure he was saying “mama” which kinda got me staring at him for 30 mins!
The orange looks pretty well fed and groomed, I wouldn’t be surprised if it has a home already.
