I don't have any trash cats, but I do have:
1 that momma abandoned in my backyard under my pool pump
2 that just walked in my house on their own (separately)
1 momma that gave birth on my patio
1 of said momma's kittens
1 that slept in my garage for a year before finally coming in
I have one trash cat. My ex found this one under a dumpster in 2015.

This is my goofball. He’s not exactly dumb but he ain’t smart.
Dog rescue places are ridiculous. Pay to fill out an application, answer a bunch of invasive questions, have them tour your home, still pay $500 to get someone else's used dog.
All my best cats we found in a trash.
Edit: "used dog" was a joke people.
Hey, you can also find dogs in the trash sometimes. My mom found a puppy in the swamp where people would dump trash illegally and she became my childhood dog, and my aunt once found a puppy someone threw in a dumpster and brought it home
When I was a child my parents found a black lab mix at a dumpster, emaciated and covered in mange. He made a full recovery and was one of the most incredible animals I had ever had the pleasure of knowing.
I swear that dog actually understood that we saved his life and showed his appreciation with unparalleled loyalty and love
My brother rescued a big black lab mix in the middle of one of the worst ice storms in the region. He’d been dumped 5 counties away by his asshole, abusive owner, and my brother took that opportunity to rescue and adopt Elvis. Elvis went from a shy dog to the *happiest* black spot on earth with beautiful manners and a sweet disposition. He lived to be 25, and I think the only reason he died is because he forgot to wake up one morning.
My brother also once spent a day locating me because a tiny Siamese kitten had yelled outside his place until he came out. He brought her in, feed her Cheetos (what he had to eat), they slept together and then Operation: Sister Location started. She had gas that could peel paint (kitten IBS), which was fixed with chicken and rice, and she was an utter delight! She spent all of her 18 years with me.
What an incredible transformation story! Finding and nurturing this little one from a trash bin to this healthy state over 8 months is truly heartwarming. Well done!
I don't want to say definitively that OP and a lot of comments in here are bots, but yes a lot of comments read like generic AI statements, OP has a 4-month-old account but only started posting 20 days ago, and every thread he's posted in has been started by accounts that also started posting no more than 20 days ago. It reeks of a bot ring
I just absolutely despise some people- everyone has a better option than putting a kitten in a bin, even just leaving it to fend for itself (not that I’m endorsing that either btw) at least gives it a chance. If you hadn’t come by that poor little beautiful boy wouldn’t be here. Good on you.
I just saw an ig post of a local rescue that I follow and someone duct taped a cat carrier with a cat inside and left him outside in one of the hottest days of the summer. Like who the f would go out of their way to duct tape a cat inside a carrier and suffocate him to death? Humans are evil.
Some stupid vile woman was caught on camera putting a cat in a bin, when caught she doubled down and stated "It's just a stupid cat!", As if that makes it any better. She wasn't even charged with animal cruelty, stupid authorities.
People that does such a thing should be forced into treatment for lack of empathy, they're very clearly psychopaths and should not be allowed to roam freely in society. And yes I'm being serious here.
My cousin recently adopted a new kitten. Her dad is a contractor and some of his workers found her in a dumpster at a work site, zipped inside a backpack.
Like I get that some people are assholes, that despite there being literally dozens of rescue places around us who will take kittens, no questions asked, they just don't want to deal with it. But why not ditch it in a park or something? At least give them a fighting chance. Zipping up an 8-week old kitten inside a backpack and throwing them sway is psychopath behavior.
Good thing you found him when you did! Would not want him to suffer more damage! You turned him into a stunning white cat! Thank you for your TLC to make him hethy again! 🐈🐾
Thank you! And no worries he gets brother and sister.

My baby the day I found her and her now, 3 years later.
You’re doing a great job and he’s beautiful!!!
We have a rescue “Chorkie” and he was found in a bucket of feces -not just his own- covered in bugs. We have had him 1 week. He still is missing a lot of fur but his little personality is starting to shine through. 💜💜
I have the opposite of your cat, all black, yellow eyes, and the opposite eye lost to an infection. He's turning a year old in August, his name is Gino

Found my baby in the back of a uhaul truck. Worked at Home Depot and went to check in a rental uhaul and heard him crying in the next truck over. Someone just threw him in the back and closed the door on him. That was like 3 years ago and now he’s living his best life
I had a cat as a kid that i found in the woods. We think his family had been eaten by coyotes. I think he survived by hiding in an old stove pipe but they chewed the end of his tail off. I am so happy to know that along crap people who throw kitties in a trash bin, there are also people like you saving them ♥️ you did a great job and this post left me in tears, I hope she has a happy and long life with you now
We took in this little guy when he was a few months old. His eye socked looked similar to your cats when we first got home. Poor thing. Healthy now 👍🏼 great job
I don't have a trash cat, but I have a cat I rescued from a dog kennel. His entire life was a cage with dirty letterbox, food, bed, and scratcher in one tiny box. I saved him and gave him indoor/out door access. An acre of property and a warm loving home. He's the best mouser I've ever seen. Such a good boy. I'm so happy he loves his life now.
When I see the infected eye pictures it hurts my heart so much. I cant imagine how much pain they endured.
Your cat is beautiful. Thank you for rescuing him.
Tha k you for saving him and giving him a good furever home! He looks handsome & healthy!
His eye is such a beautiful blue color. And how do you keep him so clean?

Poor kitty. I'm so glad he's safe now and loved.
Oh wow! Beautiful cat! Is he deaf? Always meard most all white cats with at least one blue eye are deaf. Something about a gene mutation. Had one once too that was deaf, always wondered how she never missed a meal (she was chunky). 😂
Last saturday my gut told me to check a a diaper box sitting at the end of our street next to the sewer. Sure enough inside was a kitten that someone just threw away. Nothing like a good trash cat!
That is one tough cat! He was born in a pool of gasoline on a piece of rusty sheet metal.
I've seen him jump through barbed wire into a vat of hot tar
Why is it baby Yoda tho ö
Why not
Because he’s hungry and a growing boy.
Oh NO
I don't have any trash cats, but I do have: 1 that momma abandoned in my backyard under my pool pump 2 that just walked in my house on their own (separately) 1 momma that gave birth on my patio 1 of said momma's kittens 1 that slept in my garage for a year before finally coming in

We have always been cat people. The Cat Distribution System replenished our supply after my previous 3 crossed the Rainbow Bridge

Yeah I know people often dump dogs they won't want. It's a total asshole move. I'd definitely take a dumpster puppy.
When I was a child my parents found a black lab mix at a dumpster, emaciated and covered in mange. He made a full recovery and was one of the most incredible animals I had ever had the pleasure of knowing. My wife had a dog she got from a crack house
I met my wife in a crack house 😂 (wish I were kidding)
lol I was an Adoption Counselor at a shelter for years and I often called myself a Used Dog Salesman.
Recently saw a purebred pug with behavioral issues have an adoption fee of $4000 near my area...
A fee that high is a total money grab without any regard for getting that pup to a loving home.. :/
A purebred pug... some dogs aren't meant to be purebreds. That will just make its health conditions worse.
I saved this meme the other day, because this is exactly how my bf found his orange boy lol
That eye color makes me think of the Mediterranean Sea What a gorgeous baby.
Right? He fits in so perfect with the background!
What an incredible transformation story! Finding and nurturing this little one from a trash bin to this healthy state over 8 months is truly heartwarming. Well done!
Thank you!
You're lovely. Thanks for taking care of the little one.
Yup, thanks for taking care of this kitten. I love the transformation
Right? There are some really amazing people among us.
That grow up glow up is amazing! I hope you two have many, many years of love and joy together
Thank you. The cat distribution system chose you because it knew you'd save this one ♡

Happy cake day!
Wow, found in a trash bin? You turned his life around in 8 months! Amazing adoption journey, Totally heart-melting!
Yes, he was found in a trash bin 8 months ago, and probably that was the reason why he lost his right eye.
I'm wondering if he was thrown away because of his eye. He was super clean for a white stray.
Horrible to know there are people out there who literally would throw away hurt or disabled animals 😔
I am missing an eye, you're so lucky to find a one eye kitty. I've always wanted one to match me.

This was way funnier to me than it had a right to be lmao
Unfortunately dark humor... just like clean water, not everyone gets it.
Thank you 💙

To be fair he might have gotten into the trash by himself. Many kittens can get into the trash to look for food and can’t get out by themselves
Fair.
It’s how I found my psychotic girl ginger. She was in a those large garbage bins next to a gas station. Almost didn’t hear her meowing for help.
Yes agree with you here but the worst IMO is when people dumps live animals in a sealed plastic bag🤬
God, that makes me wanna suffocate them with a plastic bag.
I'd help you suffocate those humans!!!
I just saw an ig post of a local rescue that I follow and someone duct taped a cat carrier with a cat inside and left him outside in one of the hottest days of the summer. Like who the f would go out of their way to duct tape a cat inside a carrier and suffocate him to death? Humans are evil.
Couldn't agree more. And many wonders why there is war and pain in the world. Mhm wonder why? Sarcastic
Completely agree. Makes my blood boil.
Some stupid vile woman was caught on camera putting a cat in a bin, when caught she doubled down and stated "It's just a stupid cat!", As if that makes it any better. She wasn't even charged with animal cruelty, stupid authorities.

You can't force empathy on a psychopath. That's what makes them a psychopath
You're probably right, if so they just have to remain in treatment for a very long time.
My cousin recently adopted a new kitten. Her dad is a contractor and some of his workers found her in a dumpster at a work site, zipped inside a backpack. Had to check the subreddit I was in right quick 😅😂
Aemond!
I love seeing how people actually change their lives, but my heart fucking breaks every time I see them suffering.
Look at him now! So handsome!! 🥰
He is genuinely one of the prettiest cats I’ve seen
Awww he went from cute abandoned kitty to handsome young man!
I’m just really proud of you and I think you’re great ❤️❤️❤️

Your cat isn't the only one who's grateful for giving him a chance. Thank you for doing this🙏❤️
Give him a hug for me. :) And have your favorite person give you a hug from me too.
What a success story! Look at how loved and precious this baby is now and for the rest of their lives ♥️
Thank you for saving this kitten.
These are absolutely my favorite kind of posts on Reddit. So so glad you two found each other and you were able to make such a difference for them.
Woah gorgeous eye (singular lol) color! My cats had blue eyes but they changed to green as they grew, which usually happens.
Adorable baby. Thanks for all you do ♥
I will never ever understand the cruelty in some people. Bless you richly for caring! 🩷
Tha k you for saving him and giving him a good furever home! He looks handsome & healthy! His eye is such a beautiful blue color. And how do you keep him so clean?
He's very handsome. Please buy him an eyepatch and start calling him Aemond.
Omg he's gorgeous.
You called him Cyclops, right? Right?
They need a cute little eye patch, and a peg leg, and a hook, and maybe a parrot on their shoulder. And also, REVENGE.
So happy you found this one. I’d love to throw whoever did this in the garbage!
What a handsome little guy
What a stunning kitty!
I swear if I saw someone dumping a cat in a bin I would lose my mind. I’m glad you found him/her :)

Bevin "stink weasel" (the gray) and Oliver "ditch rat" (the tabby) making a game out of wrapping paper at my niece's birthday party https://preview.redd.it/vqtykkpwgs8d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2551084126ff54b46f2bb7a15a479704855a3bcf
You should be proud. You saved this beautiful kitty and she’s alive because of you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Omg that reminds me of the work cats we had at John Deere lucky we took care of them.
You are a hero!
Wow he's gorgeous. So glad you found him.
is he deaf? I read once that all white cats with blue eyes are always deaf due to a genetic mutation that allows this phenotype.
Such a gorgeous cat
He’s beautiful 😻
That eye is like staring into Carribean waters
Thank you for saving this cuteness.
