Sako. EMC. Wright. Rodrigues. Championship full backs are gonna get roasted.

HadjiChippoSafri

And we're off!

GadsByte

Exiting signing, one for the future moreso, but I think he could come good. Although, I think we could see the the back of Fabio Tavares this window now.

SollicitusG

Sad after his performance v Man U, could’ve really seen him bounce back after his bad luck

Numerous-West791

I feel bad for him. I'd personally like to see him go out on loan for a year and get some regular game time, but completely understand if the club decide to move him on.

SollicitusG

Proper yeah, you can he see he has a class attitude and something special about him, maybe Raphael being younger has a year out ? But I’m no Robins 😂

getgoodflood

Right footed Left winger.

Numerous-West791

Just watching some YouTube clips from him this year. Predominantly seems to be playing left wing, but a few clips he is playing right wing too.

CCFC1998

Heeees Brazilian He only cost half a million

It's John Aloisi

Spritingyoshi22

Friendship ended with Jar Jar. Sai wielding "cool but crude" hot head is my new bestie

deltabay17

His dad Cristiano moved to the A-League in 2008 and was a great player for Adelaide United. He since stayed in Australia so Raphael has been in Aus since he was 4 years old and is now naturalised Aussie. Great football pedigree and exciting, skillful talent.

Tgtalex1

Question for all you Football Manager players. With Sakamoto, Mason-Clarke, Wright and Simms presumably starting, how are we setting up?

0100001101110111

I think first game of the season we're likely to see Wright - Simms - Saka as the front 3. EMC will have to fight for a place. but there are loads of combinations, we could shift Wright centrally and EMC plays left. Or even play all 4 in a 442, but that will require more tactical change.

CCFC1998

Or go all out for a 4-2-4 or a 4-1-1-4 or something similar ;)

Recent-Background800

Assuming weight and Simms are still here come the end of the window I would imagine it'll be saka on the right mason Clarke on the left with Haji upfront as the first 11 and Sims as the sub but then you've got the options to rotate and play Haji out wide and sub off a winger if they need a rest. It's a problem we've not had in a while but it's a good one to have 😂🤣

cturner894

I think Wright will be fighting with Simms for the striker role more often this season or potentially playing off him more centrally depending on who we bring in. 4-2-3-1 Striker- Simms/Wright LW- Mason Clark/Wright/Raphael CAM/SS new CAM/Wright/Palmer RW- Sakamoto/Raphael/Mason Clark (if they are able to play the other side) Something like that. Maybe sometimes something closer to a 4-4-2 with Wright and Simms both as strikers

Wooden-Agency-2653

Sakamoto has played as 10 before as well, so you've got flexibility there.

ianhendo15

It would be great if we could follow Ipswich this season. Start with a front three of Saka, Wright and Mason Clarke then for the last half hour bring on fresh legs and see Simms banging them away

zetka

4-4-fackin-2

Brilliant_Kiwi1793

I’d say a 4-2-4, use traditional fullbacks, MVE likes to run past and cross from the byline and Bidwell likes to cross from a bit deeper so I’d keep their roles like that. Inverted winger in Tats to create in the half spaces in the right channel and emc doing the same on the left, then wright and simms upfront working the channels and running at defenders. Essentially a system to get a front 6 with opportunities created on the edge of the box from the double pivot, crosses coming in from the fullbacks and chances created in the half spaces by the front 4. This system means you don’t need a 10 either, would like another midfielder, winger and striker in that system for depth

CCFC1998

Wright LW, Simms ST, Sakamoto RW Mason-Clarke as cover and Rodrigues probably on loan to a League 1 club Though you could play Simms and Wright both as ST with EMC on at LW and Sakamoto RW if we aren't going to replace O'Hare, then just have the 2 holding mids or maybe Sheaf (if he stays)/Eccles CDM and Palmer CAM if we were really going all out attack

D2lambo11

I have longed for us to sign Brazilian players with a bit of pace and flare my whole life. Can't quite believe we're seeing my dreams play out in front of our eyes. What a time to be a Cov fan. PUSB

OkraEmergency361

I’m trying hard not to be excited like a kid, and telling myself we need a good shot stopper first…but this looks like it could be another wonderful signing and I’m loving that we’re bringing in younger players and developing their game. As he’s not played in England before it may take him a while to get used to it all, which is fair enough. I’m sure with the coaching staff we have, all will come good. Not flailing like an over-excited toddler yet. *Yet.*
