I think she’s definitely a Queen Anne Victorian. We have one from the late 1800s that’s fairly similar - no gingerbread, subtle colors, porch, etc. everything in our town records says she’s a Queen Anne and I’ve done extensive reading. While many CA QA homes had the elaborate trim and bold colors, many communities did not. It’s also possible the columns were an addition at some point if an owner added the portico. Hope you get the house - she’s beautiful!
Thank you so much! I'll be reaching out to the historic society here to find out if they have any additional info, particularly about the columns. Looking at the bones, I could definitely see them having been added after the fact and maybe some gingerbread was removed (SAD if true).
Early Colonial Revival. These turn of the century examples were transitioning from Free Classic, Queen Anne styles and kept the asymmetrical, free flowing volumes while organizing the form into a more restrained expression with classical detailing but without the formal organization of historically accurate Colonial prototypes which would dominate the style by the ‘20’s.
Free Classic Queen Anne! It has those Queen Anne forms with the classical columns. It was also built in that transition period between Victorian and Classical Revival
Feels like it was popular in the late 1800s to combine some Queen Anne with craftsman features making a sort of Victorian American hybrid. Mine is very similar.
Transitional queen anne, you lucky duck!
It has some emerging craftsman/colonial revival elements, which give it some extra structure and heft. Such a nice house!!
Sorry, this is a shitty comment. It barfs me out when people refer to houses, cars, and other inanimate genderless things with a feminine pronoun (unless that’s normal for the language.) I gave my old truck a masculine name on purpose because I got tired of old guys asking “how she’s doing.”
Some kind of Greek revival Victorian mashup.
Per USA military tradition, any land vehicle with an exterior mounted gun is male. A vehicle without a gun or with an interior mounted gun is female. A vehicle with an after market add-on exterior gun could use either gender's pronouns. It mostly depends on his/her crew.
The rules are different for ships.
A truck with truck nuts, an after market add on for a vehicle lacking exterior guns, is trans. Just, like, low effort about it.
I sent a DM because I was going to give the OP a sanborn Map from 1915 that clearly shows the home and it shows the front veranda not in existence. I don’t want to post it publicly because I didn’t see it proper to do so with it having the address and location of the home. I apologize to the 16 people that downvoted me. I’m honest, I don’t lie, I don’t start trouble I don’t down talk to anyone. I was thinking of the OP’s privacy.

I go with “Regina Anna” as Queen Anne / Italianate fusion

I agree with this. I have a Queen Anne from 1896 that also has colonial revival detailing.

Expensive.
Is there a different term for houses right now?
But it looks worth it, it is beautiful.
I hope you get it, regardless of what it is! She’s beautiful!
This reminds me of happy Gilmore grandmas house Beautiful!!!
Lmao I see it!
The RE ad says Queen Anne so we all agree. Best wishes, it is a gorgeous home.
I'm no expert, but it looks like it's missing the original porch at the carriage entrance, when compared to homes in my area built a little earlier.

Cool story. Maybe you could never tell it again. I think you're right about the chimera revival mashup. You've got an excellent eye for detail.
She must have hurt you sooo much
Why do feminine pronouns annoy you? Do masculine pronouns annoy you too?
Hahaha ugh. Thank you for making me laugh at your ridiculous nonsense. How do you know your truck is a “he” though?
Probably the tuck nuts.

Hahah duuuh!! My truck must be a “she” then Dundun.
Poor baby.
lol girl bye
Greek revival was over by the time this house was built, and Victorian isn’t an architectural style, it’s a time period.
Why are you ghey?
Sent you a DM
