Wood you care to explain? Back in the day in malvern they planted memorial shrubs in memory of the dead ex workers .. Is this the case ?

KratomDemon

Similar - except it’s for current employees who are dead inside.

Cattryn

Oracle could repopulate the Amazon with that endeavor.

FoundationWorldly262

That would be funny if it weren't true.

DeCernerfucation

Most of the memorial plaques on the Malvern campus were removed, presumably because they're trying to sell or lease the buildings. I guess it's kind of creepy to have reminders of the tortured souls worked to death prematurely by Corporate America.

immoyo

I'm starting to miss those bravo points lol

DefundBravo

Thats what you get for listening to me

somebody_odd

I thought you started taking Viagra or something.

wildcat14121234

I must have missed the memo?

iBeFlying676

I got wood just reading this!

BenDecko62

Will they count the cost of the tree and planting it as compensation?

Usedtohaveabike

tax write-off for oracle but your pay will be deducted /s

Ok_Caterpillar123

I haven’t worked at cerner for 3 years now but for the past decade companies have been trying to offset their carbon emissions by planting trees or paying a company to plant trees based on the amount of co2 they release. It’s a scam and hasn’t fixed the main issue of the increase in carbon emissions released by the world’s largest companies. Maybe this is oracle pretending they are also green, without actually giving its employees a pay raise! Meanwhile upper management is late to a meeting in another state. Better hop on that private jet.

DeCernerfucation

Yeah, we need more trees, but the idea that they "offset" the burning of fossil fuels is pure BS.
