Should be fun to see him play it’s been a long time since I’ve watched him live

RStud10

Hope Argentina smash them, then Canada can go through with just a draw against Chile

SenorConstipation

This is good. Having both De Paul and Paredes seemed to stifle their creativity a little. That midfield complements each other very well.

Nerrs

De Paul seems like the only defensive midfielder, is Enzo really starting in the middle?

NCLobo17

He’s playing on the left of those three (Enzo-Mac Allister-De Paul) and also furthest up the pitch

Chemical-Fly-787

de Paul looked great individually but he was ruining team chemistry IMHO

Unsentimentalchelsea

Wait I thought Enzo sucked how is this possible? /s

realmckoy265

It's a real shame too. Enzo resting for his nt is easy doomer-material bait

Chemical-Fly-787

hindsight is 20/20 but how did Argentina win the World Cup yeesh

justk4y

- By only fully bottling vs Saudi Arabia - Messi and Alvarez being clutch, and Enzo having his breakthrough timed perfectly - Emi Martinez bring even more clutch (and a pure menace) - Lahoz. - Penalty shootouts. Lots of penalty shootouts.

Flippin_inColors

Emi martinez black magic in penalties, so much luck is involved in a 7 game tournament also 5 penalties.

This turnaround seems a little too quick for my liking. He should still be a sub at best.

stingen

He didn't even play in the last game.

gh0st_

Yeah I would rather see him get 20 minutes than 70. I trust that he is match fit but I still have PTSD from watching Chelsea players getting rushed back and re-aggravating injuries

Ok-Constant-6056

Think that’s just a Chelsea problem though. Look at Kante, he looked ruined at the end with us and yet he is still producing Motm displays for the national side. Had he stayed he would probably have continued to be injured.

Mister_Taco_Oz

Scaloni is a coach that cares for his players, and Argentina is not lacking in midfield options. Enzo is not at risk of getting injured physically, he just needs to get back into a consistent playing rhythm. So he will probably be getting subbed off or subbed in during matches at least for the first half of Copa America.

DurMonAtor

Did no one clock that there were 12 players in that line up?

BlueTrojanRabbit

Nope there’s 11 buddy

DurMonAtor

I was including Vargas in my count 🤦🏻‍♂️ ignore me

CJ_NoChill

The good ol 4-3-3-1 will get you sometimes in these pics 😂😂
