so? it's an equal trade of material and black's only active piece (after bishop takes bishop) are gone. Then you can castle and go on a kingside attack
Edit: just realized you're down a whole knight, but you should be able to create some sort of counterplay once you trade everything
You're right... This is a fun move... It gives white a lot of attacking chances... The real advantage black has won't materialize until the end game because he's behind in development.
If your opponent is in time trouble or they aren't very high rated, 1. Ne6 is a trap. If 1. ... Nxc2+ 2. Kd1 dxe6, Bxb5+ wins. Even 1. ... exd6 2. Bxb5+ is an improvement to current position. If they are good, it's better to take the Knight with 1. Bxb4

No, you immediately gave up a knight fork. It would have been better to simply take the knight with your bishop.
Then the black pawn takes.

Ne6 would be a fun move. White's a piece down in the initial position so it doesn't really matter though.
I didn't have a knight to move there? Huh
Edited :p
I'm analyzing this move right now with a dev version of SF.

1. c3? Nc3+ forking the King and Rook.
? I didn't have a knight that can get to c3 that move.
If you play c3 Black plays Nc3+. "?" denotes inaccuracy.
Yeah, so what I'm asking is what should have been the move here? Computer isn't always accurate in terms of evaluating moves.

Yeah his knight is threatening a fork. It's a strong knight should of traded
You are getting forked on c2 but considering you are already down a knight maybe e5 e6 would be fun
I'd drop that queen back to d1
No... The black knight is too powerful on that square. Why would you give up the fork, castling rights, and the rook?
I'm analyzing this position on my computer to see if even stockfish can save your position
