I had the opportunity to take one for a drive in the mid 80s and it was , and still is one of the most comfortable cars I’ve ever drove . Quirky styling and mechanicals , but it was way ahead of its time .

I have pictures and video of a ds that was stoted in my FILs boat and car storage it had been sitting for several years and started up almost immediately
I remember the brake pedal was a round ball on the floor you squished it with your foot. The suspension was hydraulic and you could raise the car up about a foot to cross over big puddles it was definitely different from everything else.
If I had to describe it, eccentric is what I’d say. Ahead of its time. I remember as a kid if I saw people getting in one, I’d wait and watch the suspension raise the car. Never seen anything like it. Intriguing, nostalgic old classic.
It wouldn't be a Citroen if it wasn't weird in some way
.. and most beautiful, brilliant technology-wise. it was its time way ahead, leaving all other cars look old-fashioned.

It can be both. Nearly all Citroens are weird and this car really takes it.

Rides like a Rolls-Royce.. fact they literally bought the suspension system from Citroen for their own cars.
