True but we have much more extremely talented players in every other position now than a young LBJ who could carry the team.
Just look at how far a aging LBJ takes his Lakers since the won the bubble championship.
I would pick this group over a older LBJ team any day of the week.
I don't understand the unconditional love that we as a group have for mid or below average players
Cedi
Wade
Delly
Sexton
varejao
And those are just the ones I can think off the top of my head
Everyone caps on Wade like he is a terrible player but when you look at the numbers with him in the lineup it's very positive.
I am not saying he is an all star but how he plays when on the court shows that he is a positive when in the line up.
I don’t get this at all. Those are the type of players that win you championships. We don’t win in ‘16 without Tristan, RJ, Shump, JR, Channing and the guys you mentioned are on that level. Do you expect 15 superstars on a roster?
except all the players I mentioned weren't good enough to get us a championship. We had trade to get those players you mentioned in ( except TT, but he was number 4 overall pick). Ppl also don't put the players you mentioned (better players) on the same pedestal as the players I mentioned.
They were/are fine high energy bench players, but nothing more than that. And when they go to other places, they barely make the team.
Delly has a ring with us and could have been a big part of getting one in 2015 too if we didn’t get killed with injuries. A common theme with those guys is they clearly had passion and loved playing for Cleveland. Every city has cult hero role players that’s just part of sports and if you only like “guys that were good enough to get us a championship” that leaves you with very few players to like in our history.
Atleast with cedí and wade, they bought into the system and genuinely loved playing for Cleveland. Cavs fans have been thru some dark days so anyone that fw us, we fw them heavy lol
Trade LeVert, Niang, and picks(s) for De’Andre Hunter. Sign Saddiq Bey for cheap and hope he bounces back on a better team with a coach known for player development.
I feel pretty good about Core 4 + Hunter with Tyson/Okoro/Strus/Bey/Wade off the bench. That roster makes more sense than our current one and has plenty of room for internal improvement. Maybe swap one of the small wings with a backup big if the opportunity presents itself
So the Hawks can get off of his contract and pick up some draft capital in the process. Hunter is overpaid and has three years left on his contract, Jalen Johnson is higher on the depth chart, and they just drafted a SF/PF first overall. Hunter also isn’t significantly better than LeVert, just a better fit for us currently
Also Bey still recovering from a Torn ACL. He will be out beginning for the [season](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10126599-nba-rumors-saddiq-beys-85m-contract-qualifying-offer-declined-by-hawks-to-be-ufa).
Kyle Anderson
But we didn't even try there I feel
He got signed and traded to the warriors for a second round pick and cash
.....
We couldn't swing that?!
We're assuming Kyle Anderson didn't get any say in where he wanted to go as a FA? It's very possible we talked to his agent and more than likely he/his agent liked a deal with GS and asked Minn to help them make it work.
Outside of adding a top 10 player, there are no signings/trades that make a team an instant contender in one off season. That’s just kind of the reality of the league
Kenny kept talking about winning in the margins and part of that means a more consistent bench. The upgrade that needs to happen for the Cavs to continue to stay relevant in the East is increasing our depth
Turning Caris and Niang in to more consistent and dependable pieces off the bench should be the goal of the offseason
Yes, unfortunately you're probably right. Not nearly enough room to get a star. I would say the best move is to just sit on it for a year or two. Let the young core grow and blossom. Make a run in a few years with more seasoned stars and a few new additions.
unless ty jerome resurrects id love for us to go after tyus jones, think hed be great off the bench for us.
i also like the idea of dario saric, assuming we get him for cheap which i think is possible
Saric would be a fantastic pick up for depth, [was just watching his highlights from a recent Olympic qualifier](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SE2u2cH8HTE&t=142s). Looks fully recovered from an ACL tear a couple years ago. One of my favorite FA targets for backup big depth, and should be cheap. And he's only 30, thought he was a couple years older than that
give atkinson a year or 2 to develop what we have. get garland and allen's trade value maxed and move 1 or both next year ( if there is no great deal at the trade deadline, just hold on) don't make any dumb moves trying to compete with peak celtics in the next 2 years. no sense in running this team right into the teeth of the celtics. we need to be competing for the east in 3 years when the celtics salary cap becomes untenable, embid is older and we just focus on beating the knicks , pacers and orlando.
Is there any way we can pull a Lauri Markkanen out of a hat? (And keep him?) We were Cavalanching bigtime when he was around and people were healthy, before he bulked up a bit and crushed it for Finland. I hear he needs to go at the weights again but I wouldn't be sad if we said goodbye to, say, Garland plus filler to welcome the Finn back to Lake Erie shores. Mr Mitchell can staff the point just fine. He might be giddy with the 3 Towers plus Okoro.
If Derozan is taking a pay cut it’s not gonna be to come off the bench for the Cavs lol. And if you start him that’s the worst spacing starting lineup in the NBA.
I’m not gonna act like it’s impossible. He’s entering that part of his career. He needs to take a shot diet and become a phenomenal 6th man. That’s the next stage of his career and Cleveland is a solid option tbh.
I dont think you understand the topic at hand. Spacing doesnt only apply to 3s, even tho thats traditionally what is implied when discussing spacing, not to mention strus isnt even a good 3 point shooter. Derozan is a mid range aficionado. Yes 3 point shooting is preferable to mid range but derozan is so good at that aspect of the game that i feel defense has to be just as loyal to him as they would to strus. Plus derozan plays a desirable position
Players respect Derozans mid range game but know he can’t shoot a three so play off a bit when he’s sitting out on the range. If you aren’t pulling the defender to the arc, and allowing them to stay closer to the paint enabling a quick rotation, you’re not spacing.
Would have to be a sign and trade like:
Cavs get: DeRozan 3 yr $60 mil
Bulls get: Okoro 3 yr $41 mil, Niang, 2nd Rd pick
I am not comfortable going any higher than $20 mil a year for DeRozan. Who knows if that will be enough.
With the current roster I would start DeRozan at the 3 over Strus but I agree there are probably better positions/ stylistic fits like DeAndre Hunter or Cam Johnson
Donavan Mitchell is, surround him with the pieces and we can contend he’s that good. But a small back court will never work and dmitch is much better than garland. Garland for a wing that can shoot and defend would be ideal
I mean effectively teams that have become title contenders are grown and developed. The Spurs were a drafted and developed dynasty. The Golden State Warriors were a drafted and developed dynasty. Them getting Durant made them untouchable for a couple of years, but that team was still title contenders every year without him.
The last four champions (Boston, Denver, Golden State, Milwaukee) all got championships with a core of players that they drafted/developed over a long period of time.
Those teams may have acquired a player putting them over the top (Holiday to the Bucks, Porzingis/Holiday to the Celtics) but those teams were contending for titles before they got there AND the players they brought in were compliments to the core.
Right now, the Cavs aren’t exactly title contenders. They are still in the development phase. If they make the CF/Finals and fall short, then you look at adding that one additional piece that may put them over the top.
The super team era is really a fallacy in today’s game. It requires a generational athlete (LeBron James) to just slap a roster together of all star caliber players and make it work. Every super team that has been put together since 2010 that didn’t include LeBron James hasn’t worked out.
That’s why I think the Cavs are best to stay where they are and focus on the growth of Garland and Mobley. Get those two near their prime game and see what this team can do. At that point the Cavs, will have some assets back to make a move if needed to put them over the top.
But for now, trust the process. If the Cavs continue to trend in the right direction, Mitchell will want to stay and the Cavs will continue to compete. The Cavs have three years to make a finals run, IMO. It doesn’t need to be done this year.
I agree and absolutely trust the process. With Mobley improving and Garland getting back to being a 20 and 9 guy, we have opportunities to reach CF/Finals in the next 2-3 years and be positioned to add just the right final piece at that point if we haven’t won it all already
Even the mavericks made it to the finals off of growth and cheap moves (and having Luka)
We don’t have a Luka, but we have a much better top 5 than the Mavs overall.
Comparing Darius Garland to Jordan Poole really describes a lot of the recent DG hate on this sub
And if Mobley ever turned into Giannis… holy shit we’d absolutely be title contenders instantly lol what
It doesn’t matter, we have really no hope if Mobley doesn’t develop offensively. That is what this all hinges on. If he can’t develop into a legitimate scoring threat with an outside shot none of it will matter. You simply can’t win in today’s nba with two non-shooting bigs.
Dario Saric doesn't have a team rn
Bruno Caboclo gonna play the summer league for the bulls, but he's free also
I think we can pick up one of them for a part of the MLE, or the minimum
And trade LeVert niang and picks for a avaible wing like Cam Johnson or Hunter
This is where I’m at. Sign Saric for cheap(he won’t cost the whole MLE might even get him for the minimum) he’s the best shooting/rebounding/passing big left available he’s just not giving you much defense. Then trade Levert+ for any of Cam Johnson, Deandre Hunter, Kyle Kuzma
The path to the finals is splitting Mitchell/Garland, adding an actual starting SF, and adding a 3rd big.
I think we had a better chance to set ourselves up for a leap by trading Mitchell (resulting in a better return) than Garland. Now it looks very likely Garland is the one on the block but the market for him has dried up.
We don't have picks to deal or much money to move around, so i don't see a path to even maintaining our spot from last year, this offseason.
The opportunity to take another step may come next year when it could be possible to move Garland for value again.
Until then, if we can use LeVert's expiring to at least help balance the roster by taking the contract of somebody like D'Andre Hunter of Cam Johnson it would be a positive step. That and some sensible veterans on the cheap - Saric, Bissett, Highsmith, Cedi....
eager to see him play in the summer league. can't exactly assume undrafted free agents will even stick. we took a big in the 2nd round last year that I don't believe will ever appear in the NBA. would be fun if Burns can at least latch on with the Charge though, he was fun to watch in the tournament.
Trade Garland or make sure the coach makes Mitchell run the offense, or drastically change how Garland plays the game of basketball entirely. He cannot be allowed to take the basketball up the court every possession any longer.
It wouldn't make us title contenders, but a really straight forward trade that would help balance the roster would be Caris for DFS. Money works and gives us a decent 3&D 3/4 in exchange for one of our many 2/3s. Would probably have to include a 2nd rounder or 2 to make it worthwhile for Nets
Miles Bridges would probably be the most impactful realistic move we could make. More complicated to make the money work, and obviously there is a TON of baggage there and I totally understand people being against adding him because of it, but that's the only reason he might be available in the first place
Yeah something like S&T Okoro, Niang and two 2nd Rd picks for a S&T Miles Bridges could work if the Hornets want to move on. Okoro fits their timeline and 2nd Rd picks are better than losing a guy for nothing
Okoro and 2nds would honestly be a pretty good haul for a sign and trade. Not sure it would work for us money wise though, probably would need to include Levert in any package going out
I have a few ideas for moves that don't break the core 4 (Koby and Kenny have been vocal about not doing so at this time)
https://preview.redd.it/yhms6eq2qcad1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d708e8f521deb9563747fed2416189332ad6b22b
This one's risky in my opinion cuz Jeremy will be 34 at the end this contract and I don't know if he's worth getting close to the second apron once mobley extension hits. But his fit is obvious and seamless, slots in at the starting 3, can play at the 4 with either Mobley or Allen. Grant is a 40% shooter who can defend has a little bit of Iso scoring chops as well.
Another move, also with Portland
https://preview.redd.it/5s2a9k57scad1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4bebad0f12c5b1ef33b6546164a4aee18b7cc7bd
I like this move alot, I think Jerome unfortunately became expendable with the emergence of Porter so moving him plus some seconds to get a big who shot 35% from three and is on a very cheap deal feels like a good way shore up the front court. Reath is 28 so probably doesn't fit Portlands timeline as a rebuilding team so getting him could be really doable.
https://preview.redd.it/l3elr8tzscad1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=34d4746f5151b0bd203d6db8b863ea3f31d28b1a
This move feels like it's the most rumored, but in my opinion the hardest to pull off and least likely. Cam's fit is obvious, he's young enough to be here for the entire window of the core four's prime and he slots right in as starting 3, with some 4 minutes next to either Allen or Mobley. Unfortunately, I'm sure there are a lot more teams that would want him and have more assets they are willing to part with to get him, ie multiple firsts plus young unproven guys.
https://preview.redd.it/8t23242fucad1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c601c0a45b3a33beb0387104414a32160148f8c2
This move is funky, and I'm still not quite sure I'd do it before seeing who can take over Laverts role as secondary playmaker/bench sparkplug. But if Jaylon Tyson and Bates both look like they're ready for rotation minutes and Kenny is ok losing his guy, I like this to shore up our front court, Collins is a great lob threat who can shoot a little. This would be a bet that we can get him to buy in, play his role and give a little more effort on defense, maybe a little Aaron Gordon-esque? But his contract isn't too long so if it doesn't work out he's a big expiring we can move at the deadline to shake it up again.
Miles Bridges. Lets be realistic, Cavs have no picks to trade so theres no magical trades available for Forwards.
Because of his off court issues hes gonna be underpaid, hes 26, i bet you can get him for like 20 million a season maybe less.
Okoro would go to the Hornets.
Garland/Mitchell/Bridges/Mobley/Allen but with a lot more options as Bridges can be SF/PF and Strus/Levert as the main bench pieces.
This is an option that wouldn't require trading any of the core 4 and the bench would be better than ever.
He’s probably gonna cost way more than $20mm a year. Even $30mm a year is a relative bargain considering the current salary landscape for starting caliber wings, so we would be having to send out way more salary than just Okoro.
That being said, he is probably the most semi-realistic option for an upgrade to the starting 3 spot. It would be odious for a lot of the fanbase considering his history, but that history is also really the only reason he might be available
I totally get people being against getting him from an ethical standpoint. But if we are just talking basketball bringing Bridges in is probably the most realistic option for an upgrade at the starting 3 spot that doesn't involve moving one of the core 4
wouldn’t want a guy like that on our roster. hes a disgrace to the league and guys like him and kpj shouldn’t be in the league. would much rather have hunter
> Cavs have no picks to trade so theres no magical trades available for Forwards
De’Andre Hunter and Cam Johnson are realistically attainable starting caliber big wings
Ideally, Jalen Johnson, but the Hawks aren't getting rid of him. *Maybe* we can offer him enough money next off-season if we're lucky. So more practically: Miles Bridges. From a purely basketball perspective hes the perfect fit, on a great contract for us, if only for the 1 year
Realistically, Oshae Brissett is taller than 6’5 and hasn’t re-signed with the Celtics. 3 point shooting isn’t great but maybe he has another hot shooting season like he did with Indiana in 2020
If Lauri will re-up, I move Jarrett and DG for a package for him, matching salary, and their worst 27 and 29 first round picks. Then, I move those 1sts and matching salary for a quality backup center and a backup PG.
I think Keldon Johnson is interesting. Maybe undersized for the wing position we need but a very effective starter. I’m sure we’d have to trade DG to get him so we’d need to see what else we could squeeze out of the deal
Theres no current move to make us contenders unfortunately. To become contenders, we need a good wing, we need mobley to become a top 20 player, we need to move on from garland, and we either need JA or mobley to space the floor OR we move on from JA as well and replace him with a spacing big. This doesnt mean there arent moves available to at least make us better tho
Trade Levert for Beef Stew. Maybe throw that MLE at Bridges or a combo of Caleb Martin and Nwora. I like Porter as a backup PG and I think Brobley is probably the 4th big at this point. Hopefully Tyson can fill the Levert role if they trade him. I’d like to get rid of Niang but he’ll be easier to trade next offseason.
Yea I figured he was going to have to do a 1+1 to prove himself but apparently getting volume on a horrendous team did the trick, however inefficient it was.
The cavs need a wing desperately
Welcome to every year since Bron
and before LeBron and every year without LeBron in between.
True but we have much more extremely talented players in every other position now than a young LBJ who could carry the team. Just look at how far a aging LBJ takes his Lakers since the won the bubble championship. I would pick this group over a older LBJ team any day of the week.
Yes, but we have a lot of talent at every position except the 3 because we didn't overvalue crumby wings.
And as a consequence we have redundancy in half of our core 4, which will inevitably be broken up.
who do you think would fit best?
Realistic targets who would fit well I’d say Deandre Hunter or Cam Johnson. Depends what Nets want for him tho
And Kuzma, and Dorian Finney-Smith if you’re desperate. Haywood Highsmith would be a nice FA get too
Cedi Osman
Return of the King
I don't understand the unconditional love that we as a group have for mid or below average players Cedi Wade Delly Sexton varejao And those are just the ones I can think off the top of my head
Sometimes mid and below average players are fun
cause he was one of our better players during the down years and he got better every year he was here
Everyone caps on Wade like he is a terrible player but when you look at the numbers with him in the lineup it's very positive. I am not saying he is an all star but how he plays when on the court shows that he is a positive when in the line up.
Hey you keep Outback Jesus out of this damnit.

Oh brother do I have news for you about Mikal hahahaha
Did you mean Miles Bridges?

Why wouldn't he fit?

That was for real? I thought it was so fake what the hell.
Lebanon Jobs

Get rid of Niang. Addition by subtraction.
Championship confirmed.
Give Merrill all of Niangs minutes. He needs court time to develop further
and DG and Levert
I have no idea, but I love this picture of Donovan!
so so good
Kyle Anderson But we didn't even try there I feel He got signed and traded to the warriors for a second round pick and cash ..... We couldn't swing that?!
Kyle Anderson forgot how to shoot threes last season. Intriguing buy-low candidate but not someone to get upset over missing out on imo
Kyle Anderson is overrated if he was good the Wolves would’ve kept him they don’t have good forward depth
We only could offer him the vet min. If it was possible we would for sure keep him, Coach Finch loves him
You guys could’ve kept him it just would’ve ran up the luxury tax bill more than he’s worth
Yeah you are right. He's a good on-ball defender and playmaker but that's about it, I actually think he'd be a terrible fit for you guys.
He can’t shoot so yeah he is def a bad fit for us lol, can’t rebound either to get away with playing big
I’m assuming we didn’t want to sign him to a 3-year deal
We're assuming Kyle Anderson didn't get any say in where he wanted to go as a FA? It's very possible we talked to his agent and more than likely he/his agent liked a deal with GS and asked Minn to help them make it work.

I’ve always loved Saric.
Until I see Ty Jerome on the court, he is not real
His 1 yr $2.5 mil left on the Cavs cap is real lol
I’m not sure Ty is better than Craig Porter now?
good point, would love to see cp work on his playmaking, felt like he was much more score first this past season
Saric would be a fantastic pick up for depth, [was just watching his highlights from a recent Olympic qualifier](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SE2u2cH8HTE&t=142s). Trade Donovan Mitchell, resign Lebron, trade back for Donovan Mitchell and just to confuse the league even more….trade Lebron James for Bronny James
Never let them know your next move
He just told us his next 4 moves!

We need to get bronmy to play in 7 inch platform shoes.

I always liked lauri. Straight grinder. Big time shot maker and not too bad at guarding a big man either.
Sign Derozen, trade for Cam Johnson

Even Lakers fans have given up on the idea that Derozan might sign for the MLE lol let it go man
There’s several teams that he’d still start on and get more than the MLE lol this is just wishful thinking
Derozan can absolutely space the floor he just cant shoot 3s
Derozen Mobley Allen that spacing is horrible
Not any worse than what we already have with strus instead of derozan and derozan brings a punch offensively
Don’t forget to wear your special helmet when you drive to the store tomorrow

I agree and absolutely trust the process. With Mobley improving and Garland getting back to being a 20 and 9 guy, we have opportunities to reach CF/Finals in the next 2-3 years and be positioned to add just the right final piece at that point if we haven’t won it all already
Even the mavericks made it to the finals off of growth and cheap moves (and having Luka) We don’t have a Luka, but we have a much better top 5 than the Mavs overall.
The warriors super team worked out pretty well but a KD doesn’t fall into your lap very often
They were a super team before KD
Comparing Darius Garland to Jordan Poole really describes a lot of the recent DG hate on this sub And if Mobley ever turned into Giannis… holy shit we’d absolutely be title contenders instantly lol what
Giannis + Mitchell is INSANE. Mitchell is the actual offensive player he’s needed this whole time.
Convince Bron to come here
It doesn’t matter, we have really no hope if Mobley doesn’t develop offensively. That is what this all hinges on. If he can’t develop into a legitimate scoring threat with an outside shot none of it will matter. You simply can’t win in today’s nba with two non-shooting bigs.
Sadly garland has to go
I love him, but I think you are right
Dario Saric doesn't have a team rn Bruno Caboclo gonna play the summer league for the bulls, but he's free also I think we can pick up one of them for a part of the MLE, or the minimum And trade LeVert niang and picks for a avaible wing like Cam Johnson or Hunter
Trade Levert and Niang and as many precious 2nd rounders it takes to get Bruce Brown. Full disclosure, I love Bruce Brown.
That rookie we got named Dj burns would be a perfect fit for a 3rd big. He’s like 6.10 and 300 pounds
eager to see him play in the summer league. can't exactly assume undrafted free agents will even stick. we took a big in the 2nd round last year that I don't believe will ever appear in the NBA. would be fun if Burns can at least latch on with the Charge though, he was fun to watch in the tournament.
Burns is definitely not 300 pounds after losing 45 lbs! I am curious what his current weight is though.
Trade Garland or make sure the coach makes Mitchell run the offense, or drastically change how Garland plays the game of basketball entirely. He cannot be allowed to take the basketball up the court every possession any longer.
Go get Tyus Jones and see about Brandon Ingram as well.
It wouldn't make us title contenders, but a really straight forward trade that would help balance the roster would be Caris for DFS. Money works and gives us a decent 3&D 3/4 in exchange for one of our many 2/3s. Would probably have to include a 2nd rounder or 2 to make it worthwhile for Nets Miles Bridges would probably be the most impactful realistic move we could make.
Not sure it would work for us money wise though, probably would need to include Levert in any package going out
Move us to Boston and call us the Celtics. /s
I have a few ideas for moves that don't break the core 4 (Koby and Kenny have been vocal about not doing so at this time) https://preview.redd.it/yhms6eq2qcad1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d708e8f521deb9563747fed2416189332ad6b22b This one's risky in my opinion cuz Jeremy will be 34 at the end this contract and I don't know if he's worth getting close to the second apron once mobley extension hits. But his fit is obvious and seamless, slots in at the starting 3, can play at the 4 with either Mobley or Allen. Grant is a 40% shooter who can defend has a little bit of Iso scoring chops as well.
Another move, also with Portland https://preview.redd.it/5s2a9k57scad1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4bebad0f12c5b1ef33b6546164a4aee18b7cc7bd I like this move alot, I think Jerome unfortunately became expendable with the emergence of Porter so moving him plus some seconds to get a big who shot 35% from three and is on a very cheap deal feels like a good way shore up the front court. Reath is 28 so probably doesn't fit Portlands timeline as a rebuilding team so getting him could be really doable.
https://preview.redd.it/l3elr8tzscad1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=34d4746f5151b0bd203d6db8b863ea3f31d28b1a This move feels like it's the most rumored, but in my opinion the hardest to pull off and least likely. Cam's fit is obvious, he's young enough to be here for the entire window of the core four's prime and he slots right in as starting 3, with some 4 minutes next to either Allen or Mobley. Unfortunately, I'm sure there are a lot more teams that would want him and have more assets they are willing to part with to get him, ie multiple firsts plus young unproven guys.
https://preview.redd.it/8t23242fucad1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c601c0a45b3a33beb0387104414a32160148f8c2 This move is funky, and I'm still not quite sure I'd do it before seeing who can take over Laverts role as secondary playmaker/bench sparkplug.
I really like this. It messes with our depth, but i'd say it's worth it. What do you guys think?
Wrap everyone in bubblewrap before they go onto the court, with extra layers over Garland's head.
😂
Cleveland can become a hive of scum and villainy
I totally get people being against getting him from an ethical standpoint. But if we are just talking basketball bringing Bridges in is probably the most realistic option for an upgrade at the starting 3 spot that doesn't involve moving one of the core 4
Nah let the Clippers keep adding to their all-felon team. What the browns did is enough for me lol
wouldn’t want a guy like that on our roster. hes a disgrace to the league and guys like him and kpj shouldn’t be in the league. would much rather have hunter
Hunter isnt half as good as bridges. If our goal is to win it would be malpractice to choose hunter over bridges all things equal
He’s an awful human being, but also pretty good at basketball and available for not an enormous amount of money. Plus he’s friends with DG…
> Cavs have no picks to trade so theres no magical trades available for Forwards De’Andre Hunter and Cam Johnson are realistically attainable starting caliber big wings
Just curious, but do people who want Hunter see him in the starting lineup?
Yes
is he out of jail? hell yeah that's sick
lol what a sentence
The last charges he had were dropped. Unless he does something terrible again he will be fine.
No, thanks
Goodbye Garland ✌️
I would try and flip Garland and pieces/picks into Markkanen.
Utah gonna be like, can we get Spida back?
You would try and fail
Ideally, Jalen Johnson, but the Hawks aren't getting rid of him. *Maybe* we can offer him enough money next off-season if we're lucky. So more practically: Miles Bridges. From a purely basketball perspective hes the perfect fit, on a great contract for us, if only for the 1 year
There is literally a 0 percent chance of us getting Jalen Johnson. We have a better shot at Lebron or KD lol
Miles Bridges isn't on any contract, he is an unrestricted free agent
Ah I'm a year off I guess, I thought this coming season was the last year of his deal
Precious, Thomas Bryant, Lonnie Walker, and a shit ton of internal development
Love that pic
Realistically, Oshae Brissett is taller than 6’5 and hasn’t re-signed with the Celtics. 3 point shooting isn’t great but maybe he has another hot shooting season like he did with Indiana in 2020
KD or Wiggins at SF Starting 5 is Don, Strus, SF, Mobley, Allen
If Lauri will re-up, I move Jarrett and DG for a package for him, matching salary, and their worst 27 and 29 first round picks. Then, I move those 1sts and matching salary for a quality backup center and a backup PG.
Cam Johnson Zach Lavine Brandon Ingram Who is the best or realistically attainable?
Jonathan Isaac for okoro by any means possible
Nobody mentioning TP the side piece. Like he played so well the year we got allen
Trade Garland for anything
Trade for Lauri, Garland or Allen, it doesn't matter we would be the best team in the league with this guy
Miles Bridges....
Trade garland for jimmy butler
I think Keldon Johnson is interesting. Maybe undersized for the wing position we need but a very effective starter. I’m sure we’d have to trade DG to get him so we’d need to see what else we could squeeze out of the deal
If we trade for another undersized wing I’m gonna freak tf out and lose all hope for Koby
Bridges is getting way more than the MLE and also he's about to be gone to the LAC, reportedly.
Wow I didn’t realize his image rehab had been so successful. He might get 100 mil.
Crazy right? It's going to be north of 25m I bet, but that's without me looking at the Clips books.
Yea I figured he was going to have to do a 1+1 to prove himself but apparently getting volume on a horrendous team did the trick, however inefficient it was.
Only thing we need…a legit back up big
ONLY thing??? Bahahaha
Bench DG, Levert, Strus and Niang. These players should not see more than 5 minutes per game ideally in garbage time.
This is some of the lowest effort trolling I've seen in a while
Sadly I think this dude is being genuine
