Hi, I'm the r/coins AutoMod.
Looks like you're looking for **information on valuing a coin**?
I have your back. Take a look at the [FAQ on values](https://www.reddit.com/r/coins/wiki/faq#wiki_3._what.2019s_my_coin_worth.3F) for both specific guidance if your coin is common enough, or more general guidance if not.
I have also automatically applied the flair "Value Request" to your post.
If I misunderstood your post and my comment isn't relevant, sorry! I'm still learning.

Ah yes I've seen one of these before. They were referred to as tokens during the vast cheese empire. This one displays the emperor Chuck E. First of his name who established rule of the Nolan continent in the land of Atari. Sadly it was a short-lived empire after the Showbiz invasion but was reincarnated when the lineages of their royals married. This is currently worth one round of ski ball.
Well you see the green coloring right there? That is tell tale sign of authenticity. I second it is valued at a round ski ball if I do say so myself. I believe Chuck E. Would upvote a third were he here today.
Charles is rolling in his VW sized shoebox because his heirs have embraced a cashless society. You and I both know that coin won't fit any any modern ski ball machines..
That's the name of his establishment. I wish I knew how to post pics and vids in the comments. It was my first job so I used to have hundreds of these. Lol
I'm in WV, and there is a Chuck E Cheese about 15 minutes from my house.
WV also has one of the last functioning Rock-afire Explosion animatronic bands in the USA, at Billy Bob's Wonderland in Barboursville.
These coins were essentially proxies for the official currency of the empire: small paper notes which we're subject to such hyperinflation that it took approx 7,000 units to buy a cheese-and-rodent-themed pencil eraser.
Reminds me of a joke that I like to tell when showing people my WWII-era Italian banknotes. They're about 5cm x 12 cm. I joke that most of the cows got killed, so there was a leather shortage and they had to have smaller wallets and thus smaller bills.
I found it looking at some old chick e cheese coins I had. For a long time they were marked by the region or even the store they were from, not until the later years did they make universal tokens
Lol, yes, he does. If you ever wonder why us 80s kids are so fucked up as adults, there you have it-- our idea of fun was going to the mobster rat pizza casino.
Lol I'm an 80s kid myself so I get it. I remember being like 5 years old at kmart or whatever, and my mom telling me "Dont climb in the clothing racks or you'll die"
Hark! Fret not, friend, for thine acquisition is no trickery. Lo, it appears you have unearthed a relic of yore, a coin from the year of our Lord two thousand and eleven. In those bygone days, a monstrous rodent, fashioned from cloth and stuffing, did dwell within the houses of pizza! The inscription you behold is the ancient tongue of English, proclaiming a phrase of forgotten times, "WHERE A KID CAN BE A KID." Huzzah! A most splendid discovery indeed!
CHUCK E. CHEESE

Funny story I worked for CC back in the 2000s and the feds got involved cuz some kids were stealing these coins and selling them on eBay for a buttload of money. So we had to go to paper credits cuz the amount of money people were making off eBay was upsetting the feds.
It all depends on if you can stop the light on jackpot then it's worth a lot more but probably only worth some Chinese finger cuffs or a tiny rubber snake.
No, well actually yes its worth a free game play if there are any Chuck E. Cheese's still around. Can't remember if we still have one here in Upstate, NY. I think we might, bahahaha!!!
Glad to see there is snark here amongst collectors. I just started being interested in coin collecting so I followed this group and I'm on the verge of unfollowing because it seems like 90% of posts are "is this worth anything?" Is there an online community out there somewhere else that is geared towards collectors and not people trying to make money?

Chuck was his nickname, full name Charles Entertainment, first of his name.
Charles Entertainment Cheese*
I always thought Cheese was the name of his dynastic house…
That's the name of his establishment. I wish I knew how to post pics and vids in the comments. It was my first job so I used to have hundreds of these. Lol
Father of a stinky child, husband of a pissed-off wife, and I will get my vengeance in this life or the next.
No one has mentioned that the empire was known for their awful pizza.
Shh that's the part no one says aloud...
It’s like fight club.
pizza was decent don't hate
But they served beer so it helped
We still have one by my old house in Cbus!!! They still exist!
I'm in WV, and there is a Chuck E Cheese about 15 minutes from my house. WV also has one of the last functioning Rock-afire Explosion animatronic bands in the USA, at Billy Bob's Wonderland in Barboursville.
I think it was during the era of Atari, not the land of Atari....
😂 😂 I found such forgotten treasure my self . The days of the Chuck E empire indeed. 🤣🤣
I think it was during the era of Atari, not the land of Atari....the land of Atari was across vast ocean from Nolan.
These coins are going for like 3$ on ebay
I hear his real name was Charles. But he bans those who speak it.
And the Latin inscription 🤌...muah.
John Oliver has a great episode of last week tonight about Chuck E. Cheese
Actually a half a round now!
2k - 3k at least
Sir Charles Entertainment Cheese. He has quite the kingdom where a kid can be a kid.
Huh, I always thought the E stood for Ebola.
E.Coli

Like Jesus, redeeming sinners for trinkets and other valuable prizes?
Before long, Mr. Cheese employees would be burning huge blocks of new trillion-cheese notes just to keep the pizza ovens fired up.
Clap clap clap 👏
Idk who downvoted your post, but this is the quality shitpost I come to Reddit for.
That's the first I'm hearing this, lol. Any other time I see people getting shit for posting shit posts lol
It’s the first Monday of the month. Sub rules say we’re allowed to have that day.
Goddamn right
OP here is the actual info on that coin: [https://en.numista.com/catalogue/exonumia96840.html](https://en.numista.com/catalogue/exonumia96840.html)
That's actually pretty interesting.
I found it looking at some old chick e cheese coins I had. For a long time they were marked by the region or even the store they were from, not until the later years did they make universal tokens
Huh, I guess it is Latin
Looks Germanic to me, with Arabic numerals.
Here's one c.1987 B.C. (before cards): https://preview.redd.it/wzkn6xr45u9d1.jpeg?width=1932&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=93e45ae6af20cc183aa5e3b3a9accc9fcf0f0f24
There’s no way people went for the pizza and stayed for the fun.
Nope! Lol! As "fun" as that place was, it was stacked from top, to bottom with nightmare fuel. Even changing the animatronics didn't help.😆
You need to get that graded.
Love the Charles E. Portrait design. Looks like a bit of PVC damage but I believe it can be treated and conserved. 2011 is a better date, too.
Don't clean it!
right, just scrub it with a brillo pad
Worth at least $10,000
Why low ball it? Worth at least double that
Why low ball when you can skee-ball?
Why skee-ball when you can 8-ball?
Worth more, in tickets.
Correction Chuck E. IOU tickets 10,000 Chuck E. IOU tickets and with that you could obtain the most sought after prizes.
Key Date 💪
Only the “Pizza time” ones
Damn roasted by all these comments
I feel bad for op if they wanted a legitimate answer lol

Apologies, I wasn’t intending to mock you- this was just an unfortunate coincidence
Use it to win some tickets and trade for some sweet loot!
At least one great big stuffed rat.
It’s clearly been cleaned. Good luck.
Junk silver
St. Charles of the Cheese commemorative coin. Priceless.
It's worth one Mr. Funtime.
Send that in for grading!!! Also might want to only hold it by the edges! Nice find!!!
Surely someone must have a graded token, right? That’d be legendary.
Grade that asap. Stop touching it with your hands and grab some nice gloves. You could sell that and buy a nice used car.
Screw that! Just go ahead and clean it!
It's worth about 25¢ at Chucky Cheese
That's no fake my boy, genuine token u got there.
Memories
Now….il gonna hold your hands when I tell you this..
Super sweet super rare. Brings back memories of ski ball.
General Charles E. Cheese took control of the Army of Northern Parmesania in 2011. I remember it well.
LoL, I don't think that I would admit to that being my inheritance.
I've got one from the 80s where he looks like a plague rat. I'll see if I can find it
I need to see that lol
https://preview.redd.it/xvfoejwf5u9d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7ebb3dd9e03f632cbfa1b3498d5f014cfd0353eb
He looks like he collects money from local businesses for "protection"
Lol, yes, he does. If you ever wonder why us 80s kids are so fucked up as adults, there you have it-- our idea of fun was going to the mobster rat pizza casino.
Lol I'm an 80s kid myself so I get it. I remember being like 5 years old at kmart or whatever, and my mom telling me "Dont climb in the clothing racks or you'll die"
The hell is that sewer demon
Better send it in for grading!

I read this in an old man's English accent for some reason
That was the idea. LOL
🍕
the most ancient of relics…
Ah yes. Almost forgot about the shit posting on the first Monday of the month.
Your grandfather was a worldly master, acquainted with the ways of old. Make him proud!
That green corrosion should be a clue. I wonder what it means. 🕵️♂️

Funny story I worked for CC back in the 2000s and the feds got involved cuz some kids were stealing these coins and selling them on eBay for a buttload of money. So we had to go to paper credits cuz the amount of money people were making off eBay was upsetting the feds.
Send it for grading absolutely.
Most like a fake. These are all accounted for, so finding one we have not seen before is next to impossible.
You obviously stole that he would never give up something so valuable.
ROFL!
It is priceless! It unlocks an incredible world of fun and amusement!
I kept all the ones I found.. and made rings out of them.
Don't clean it!
You’re a millionaire now

Oh shit this is the Charles E Cheese gold 1990 Coin. These are very rare OP.
It says 2011 on it
No no no these are special each one is re stamped. Makes it much rarer
Get it graded immediately
Looks like it has bronze disease. I’d pass on it unless you can get it for less than $100. /s
I believe that is not Latin, but some form of Germanic with Arabic numerals. Very nice find. Love the toning!
I gave mine to a coworker with young rodents. Didn't know they were real gold.
I know a guy who can turn that coin into a pencil topper, or better yet a Chinese Finger Trap
It all depends on if you can stop the light on jackpot then it's worth a lot more but probably only worth some Chinese finger cuffs or a tiny rubber snake.
The toning on this is great
I’ll give ya 25 cents for it.
Grade that NOW
Wow! A Carolus Fromage.
Do gold coins grow patina like that?
This is one of the rarest Thai Baht coins in existence. You should immediately send it to NGC for grading.
Retirement secured buy your self 2 private islands
We still have one open here in Idaho lol
Coin collectors in 2200
Worth at least a bupkus. Maybe two.
What a coincidence, I found one of these dated 2009 in a coinstar yesterday.
I have one from a kid the year on the coin says 1983
Hey I liked the pizza
2011 is a hard year to find. Nice patina but unfortunately harshly cleaned on one side. I’d give you 450 tickets for it
Ooh! I, too, have a Chuck Chip sitting around somewhere.
Better delete this or the rat may come for you
Thats that rare type of gold that corrodes. Almost 10,000 an ounce for that stuff, almost impossible to find
If you had one from Showbiz....
I'll trade you for a turn on my street fighter arcade game.
Now I want a legit 24k Chuck e cheese coin. It would be a sleeper coin
Send it to PCGS

You can always rely on reddit to brighten your day
That ain't gold, kid.
If you like their pizza, you’re one odd individual. That stuff tastes so fake.
Should be able to get a spider ring or two for it, if you’re good.
Show Biz>C.Cheese
Mmmmmmm recycled pizza
Priceless
This is obvious a Chinese counterfeit of the valuable Chunk of Gold series bullion coin./s
I have a few of these but yours looks just beautiful probably a ms65 grade!
It’s worth one spin on the ski ball machine.
I worth 1 game at Chuck E. Cheese. It's not gold. If you're lucky, it's made out of copper which makes the value around $0.07.
It Ain't gold it's brass and it's a chuckle cheese coin, and not worth JACK.I HAVE 10 MY SELF. WANT TO BUY THEM 5 BUCKS EACH.
woah, you're like a genius or something
Came here for the comments and wasn’t disappointed! 😂
Pleasure island, maybe geppetto brought it back with Pinocchio.

The green copper oxide says this ain't gold

No, well actually yes its worth a free game play if there are any Chuck E. Cheese's still around. Can't remember if we still have one here in Upstate, NY. I think we might, bahahaha!!!
It's 13 yrs old. How did you great grandpa get it
These were used in the Underground Railroad my Harriet The Spy Tuberman.
You really need to retract this post. Just stop about your "great grandfather."
