The more I see it, the more I like it. 3 years of pain, though it'll being much needed improvements. That Kingdom City roundabout overpass is wild!

The pedestrian connectivity and new crossing to Clark lane are great. Should really help connect the growing Northeast side to town to the core city.

TickDel

Not a fan of keeping the old 63 connector six lanes, but everything here is a massive improvement. Glad to see more exits for Biz Loop and Clark, that’ll hopefully help offset traffic there. Southern Conley seems unnecessary IMO. Any word on which sections get worked on first, or is it order the video shows?

tykempster

I thought southern Conley looked sweet. I always find it such a pain leaving Sam’s, and then you’re hitting several more lights no matter what.

The both ramps and the traffic lights for 70W are being removed for the Clark Ln roundabout. Hopefully, all of the northeast residential traffic will use the new Hanover interchange. I Otherwise 63S to 70W and commercial traffic will be overwhelming for roundabout. After leaving Home Depot, I have watched vehicles come off 63S to go through the connector back onto 63S instead of the bypass bridge. Mind boggling watching habits of people.

Is there another, not too long way, to Columbia from St Louis? Starting this fall I'll have to go there about once a week.

landon1397

Straight down 70 is always gonna be the fastest

Max_W_

You could always take Highway 94 along the Missouri river to north of Jeff City then take 63 North to Columbia. It would probably add about 30-45 mins to your trip. If you're just wanting to dodge the delays because of the construction, you could take Route Z and go to Richland Road.

Retrotreegal

Which will no doubt be one of the detours MoDOT uses over the next few years of construction

ToHellWithGA

People are about to get a whole lot more familiar with roundabouts - or getting honked at when failing to properly use roundabouts.

fatbuckinrastard

Many tractor trailers go through the Kingdom City exchange, is a roundabout really a good idea? Big trucks taking constant left turns? I'm not sure about the roundabout in front of Socket. Traffic already merges slowly coming from 63 onto 70W because of the hill. Traffic coming from a roundabout won't help. It appears there are more lanes where it meets 70, so that may help.

Retrotreegal

It’s looks bigger than the one they put in at New Florence for the truck stop. Shouldn’t be a problem.

Global_Strawberry306

I think the coble RO badbout will be awesome, most ppl will just be hopping right on the highway there instead of going all the way up to steak n shake anyway

From what I can tell only NB 63 can join WB I70 without a signal, All other 63 traffic has to endure a signal or roundabout to get to I70. Also, EB I70 only joins SB 63 without a signal. All other I70 traffic has to endure a signal or roundabout to get to 63. Correct me if I’m wrong please.

ericalayne42

This does nothing to improve connector traffic as most traffic is going to still be backed up trying to get onto EB 70. The only direct route to 70 is NB63 to WB70? Waste of time and money. Sure, let’s add 100 more roundabouts, Columbia. Why is that the only solution they ever look toward?
