Dogs have different personalities. Barking doesn’t not necessarily mean a dog is not afraid. They bark to get other attention, out of fear or frustration, or because they are excited. When a dog wags their tail, people assume it’s because they are happy to see you and that could be true. Or they could be excited to bite you.
