That line cracked me up because I saw him in Galavant (and the Harry Potter movies, of course) before I watched Community so it was jarring to hear him with an American accent. A well done American accent, to be sure.
POP POP!
His Quidditch commentary is hilarious in the books, all the films did was some very basic descriptions of the play. In the books he's full on showing his bias to Gryffindor, almost getting his microphone taken off him by McGonagall several times for calling the Slytherins cheaters. Except of course for the one time where she's in full agreement with him and yelling at the Slytherins herself.
"Chaser Bell is taking the penalty shot after that obvious and flagrant foul"
"Jordan!"
"Uh, sorry Professor, obviously what the Slytherins just did to Katie Bell was accidental, and could have happened to anyone"
Lee is mostly the quidditch commentator in the movies, in the books he's much more involved with Fred and George's antics.
He also announced the scores on the Harry Potter 20th anniversary trivia show a couple years ago, hosted by Helen Mirren.
See I never made the connection that he was in HP when watching Community, and instead when I later watched Galavant I got so hyped realizing he was Sid!
lol How many lines does he actually have in the show aside from “POP POP!” and a line or two before or after it sometimes?
“that’s mine”
And in Marine Biology he says “Not pop?” and gives his hilarious little speech about staying up all night trying out new catch phrases (“diggity-Do?”)
Best in that category is probably Hugh Laurie. "House MD" casting crew was looking for an American actor, and his accent was so good they had no idea he was British (must've missed his appearance in Friends).
Or his name? There is no one in the United States with a name like Hugh Laurie that’s obviously a Brit or at least someone from one of their more recent colonies
Writer 1: Let’s make a Harry Potter reference.
Writer 2: I've got a better idea. Let’s hire someone from Harry Potter and not mention it until the fans figure it out themselves.
I like this English version of Michael K Williams (idris Elba? They were both in the Wire) that says says bruv and innit but doesnt say theory because it’s not a fancy enough word for someone w a British accent. He’d probably say “feeory” I think lol
Extra funny tho bc theory as used in common language would be more like hypothesis by the scientific definition
I was just watching videos from my daughter at 2yo and that episode with Manchester United comes on and she immediately lit up and went “yo yo yo yo- POP POP!” The second he walked in.
Magnitude for life.
Growing up and then growing out of the potter fandom, then getting really into community I never made this connection bc I wasn’t into them at the same time. Then I showed my friend the show and was like “hell yeah magnitude you’re gonna love this guy” and she so surprised at first I was confused like it’s magnitude he says pop pop he’s a one man party it’s not that deep. Then she says “you didn’t tell me Lee Jordan was in this!” And it absolutely blew my mind that I had never picked up on the British joke before, I had assumed it was just a random gag because his American accent in his other lines is pretty convincing
I remember him as one of the designers on the British version of Project Runway, Project Catwalk. He has such a distinctive name, so my mind was blown when I realised that he was Magnitude, let alone Lee Jordan in HP!

I watched Galavant before Community too! He'll always be Sid to me 😆
YES! Galavant is great. I love that two of the co-stars are from two of my favorite shows - our boy Magnitude here and Lassie from Psych!
I've been watching Galavant, it's wacky and I love seeing Magnitude!
Everyone this cast was amazing; Mallory Jansen went on to become one of the most terrifying Agents of SHIELD villains 🫣
Mallory was amazing in Galavant; my favorite villain in a show in a long time.
I always think of him as Ben from Tracey Beaker lol
Yessss
Who is he in Harry Potter?
Lee Jordan!
Criminally underutilized in the movies. He's pretty funny in the books.

No way dude seriously😭😭 I just looked it up idk how I didn't recognize him!
Lee Jordan. Fred and George’s best friend
I remember he announced the quidditch games. I don’t remember if his character had a name
Lee Jordan. He’s in the books too.

Okay, now I have to watch Harry Potter again.
Pop Pop indeed
He’s British, so I think it would go, “Paup, Paup!”
This is my favorite reply I've ever gotten, pHaup pHaup Ol' bean.
See I never made the connection that he was in HP when watching Community, and instead when I later watched Galavant I got so hyped realizing he was Sid!

He's a one man party, and a one man party can't be in an alliance. That's a paradox.
Agree to disagree!
Easy, Paradox.

Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes is also up there
Galavant is such a underrated show, wish it got the respect it deserves
HE WAS IN HARRY POTTER?
Writer 1: Let’s make a Harry Potter reference. Writer 2: I've got a better idea. Let’s hire someone from Harry Potter and not mention it until the fans figure it out themselves.
Omfg I just realized it’s Lee Jordan
Wait what’s the Harry Potter reference?
"POP POP!"
Like Harry’s parents??
That’s why there are always 2
Fuck Dumbledore really is the bene gesserit isn’t he
Yo bruv, you know they're havin a laugh AT you, yeah? I mean, that's my hypothesis innit.
Goddamn I wish we still had free awards

Fuck you this shit made me cackle and I wish I came up with it.
Holy shit that’s Lee Jordan.
Obviously most people will know him from Harry Potter Any fellow brits remember him being in Tracy Beaker?
He was Ben before he was anyone else to me. Loved Tracy Beaker as a kid.
Everyone out here talking about Harry Potter and galavant while the real people know he was Ben in Tracy beaker
Luke Youngblood actually being British and being most known for Harry Potter makes this joke so much better
true fans know this is Ben from the Tracy Beaker to show
Pop-pitty, pop-pitty
Pop what, Magnitude?! Pop what!?
What’s he trying to say?!?!
You know they're laughing AT you right? I mean that's my theory.
Diggedy do?
I was just watching videos from my daughter at 2yo and that episode with Manchester United comes on and she immediately lit up and went “yo yo yo yo- POP POP!” The second he walked in. Magnitude for life.
Omg that’s adorable! I would lose it laughing!
Love it! You’re bringing her up right.
Thanks 😃 I felt both proud and terrified when she went through her yelling of “SHOTS!” Phase
Everyone's talking about Potter but no one's mentioned Tracy Beaker!

Never heard of Project Catwalk! Any idea where one might watch it? I’m in the US.
[Yes](https://youtu.be/btSii-Pcz60)
He actually is
Man the day I realized he was Lee Jordan, wild times.
"PATRONUS PATRONUS!!"
That reveal
10 points for Gryffindor!
Pawp pawp
i wonder if he was actually supposed to say pop pop in a scared tone this seems like a great improv line
