Not a mask. They used CGI to put Biden's head on someone else's body. If you watched the video, the seated person is being completely still while the head talks. They used different cameras for him and the interviewer, so apparently they were not even in the same room and Biden was giving prepared answers for prepared questions.
the lighting setup for cameras is casting shadows.
the director of photography for this shoot didn’t pay enough attention, didn’t care, or couldn’t fix the shadow.
