They were just saying that to justify her current continuing absence. It may-well not have actually been confirmed to them at that point that she wasn’t going to come back eventually.

I guess we were all led to believe there was some personal reason Lorna was unable to appear so after hearing this am very disappointed that she looks to have been forced out. Aggie and Dee-Dee were my 2 favourites from the Bailey family, from the looks of it, bosses decided Dee-Dee is to fill all female Bailey roles? Is this part of cost cutting so effectively amalgamating roles? There are other characters I would have axed before getting rid of Aggie. Good luck to Lorna in her future roles.
I think Aggie was one of the better characters and her presence at the hospital meant she could be involved in many storylines (like Peter and Paul). Similar to Craig's involvement in any crime story on the street. Aggie meeting Joel's parents would have been an interesting moment. I also think she's perceptive enough to see something is off with Joel. I hope they bring the character back.

Filming of Doctors stopped in March, I think. (Doctors filmed about 6 months ahead, I think.)
Hmm....., not sure about that as Doctors is coming towards the end of the Medical Drama Soap at the end of this year in December.

I agree with the hospital as a good setting for plotline. I’m getting pretty sick of everyone being law-engaged and possible going to prison.
That's a shame. I liked the character and think she could have had a good entertaining relationship with Dee Dee.

I will definitely miss her, but why have we not seen her for a whole year?
She was much better as Mrs. Tembe in Doctors. A pity that show is being axed later this year.
