Feels about right - one big chance for Foden, a tap-in and one penalty.
You have to have a very good day at the office to beat City; they don't often go a full match without creating big chances.
Considering how shit our finishing has been these past few weeks I don't think it is uncharacteristic anymore. Uncharacteristic from Son maybe, but as a whole we seem to have forgotten how to shoot.
Strongly disagree. Son was signed by Levy. As far as I know so was Kane
Just because we didn’t have a striker for this game doesn’t mean we won’t ever again. Richarlison is under contract even if he isn’t fit right now.
Son’s finishing hasn’t been on since December, so it’s definitely all forwards finishing bad.
Tottenham needs to have someone to rotate with Son due to Son’s age.
It’s more about tactic differences. Angeball is about taking lots of low quality shots, pep is about controlling the game so you don’t take shots until they’re at least 60/65%
Also city players were clearly bricking it all game more scared of losing than us
May not be the intention but it’s definitely the result of the focus on getting shots away/getting the ball forward as fast as possible which is a key tenet of his philosophy
Getting the ball forward quickly should lead to quicker shots with less defenders near, meaning they’d naturally be higher quality chances. Our players stall out in the ball far too often meaning we let the opposition get numbers back and crowd the box. I think it’s a player issue more than anything. We created 1.76 xG today with 10 shots which is really good
I don't think Ange ball is about low quality/low % shots, otherwise we would shoot more, especially from outside the area. I just think we aren't executing what he wants yet. It will come next season.
Maybe-hopefully . I think it comes with the territory of trying to play with such a fast pace/ so much focus on monentum and positivity rather than control
Both their goals were pretty high xG. Penalty always inflates xG too.
0.93 for the haaland tap in

Somehow we kept it relatively close despite Haaland having two goals worth 0.90+ 10/10 no notes

Past few months more like. They are all crap in front of goal. Even son has lost it.
Yeah was thinking about the Son 1-on-1 miss, very unusual for him to miss those
Not even that but quite slow play in the final third. Hopefully we see a shake up and an improvement next year
Fantastic from the lads
Son for the first time this season missed 2 big chances. Mr tottenham 🤍
No strikers will do that to a team
We have no competent forwards. They are all shit. We need quality but levy will never sign a decent forward.

Same old boring shit from the Levy Out crowd.
How much was Son's 1v1 worth?
.23 xG according to Fotmob
uncharacteristically poor finishing from us... I disagree we've been bad at finishing all year (apart from Sonny).

also kind of true.
Son's chance must be 0.8 atleast

Ange is not about taking a bunch of low quality shots lol
