I've always loved this technique. Your beads are beautiful, and this is a great way to recycle while experimenting with different shapes and their origin patterns.
It never occured to me to make curtains. Thank you so much!
I rolled strips of scrapbook paper around a little bamboo skewer with mod podge to keep it in place and once I got each bead to the shape I wanted I coated them in clear coat nail polish!
Omg that's incredible! I got assorted glass beads to do something similar and they were so heavy once strung. I really don't need another craft but I also do lmao
Love this idea! I’m making beads from roses (traditionally made for rosaries) but I’ve been trying to think of what to use for the beads in between as I don’t want to use just the rose beads- this just might be what I do now!
Good luck. They look really good.
Just in case you run out of steam for the full curtain I think they would look good as a Christmas tree garland.
Although if making paper beads is your new life now a matching Christmas tree garland and bead curtain would be off the scale amazing.
Do you have a paper preference?
I am guessing that glossies like Vogue, Nat Geo, any Photography magazine, Automobile mags...work well for color- and you can get back issues for pennies, or free!
My first attempts were not ...aesthetically pleasing. We shall speak no more of that.

Mind if I ask how you made them? They’re so pretty! Especially the purple/pink ones

How are they so shiny?
I used some clear coat gel nail polish! It hardened them surprisingly well
Oh man, I made these at summer camp one year. They didn’t turn out nearly as nice as yours, but I loved making them!

Oh wow how do you make beads from roses? 🌹
Just googled, mind blown. Making these with my roses. Thank you so much for sharing because I never would have made the connection myself 🌹🤙🏻
No problem! I love to preserve bouquets this way:)
Those look awesome!
Those are so cool!
I do these all the time!!!
You have so much endurance! I gave up after estimating how beads i’d need
