Other people may have had different experiences but I found applying for the ANZ black card one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a bank. Took several weeks, multiple phone calls and a visit to a branch. Much much better experience with NAB
Are you limited to Qantas?
My pick is the [Westpac Velocity Altitude Platinum](https://www.westpac.com.au/personal-banking/credit-cards/reward/altitude-velocity-platinum/) paired with the [30K Velocity Point bonus offer](https://www.velocityfrequentflyer.com/partners-offers/velocity-credit-cards/direct-earn-cards/benefit-selection) for a total of 90K points for $124, just have to sign up for a free Westpac transactional account before applying.
That is a terrible value card. [Ozbargain](https://www.ozbargain.com.au/tag/credit-card) is the way to go to when checking cards. You can tell how good a card is by how many upvotes it has. I would go with NAB platinum or virgin flyer stacked with the 30k velocity new card bonus.
The annual fee is a bit high but the trade off is a great $1:1pt earning ratio and lounge passes if they are your thing.
If you're looking to churn its probably a bit dear as others have said but if you want a long term card it's pretty great given the 1:1 ratio.
The Qantas money app is basic but does the job.
No Samsung Pay integration but Yes for Apple and Google.
Points land within a day or 2 of the monthly bill being sent out and bonus points arrived at the same time.
You can check ANZ Frequent Flyer Black. 100k points and $250 back on meeting spend criteria.
Oh that’s very tempting! The $5000 spend might be a bit steep for me but I’ll definitely run some numbers quickly to see where we land. Thank you!!
You can prepay utilities if you think you’ll struggle. Just pay like $400 extra towards electricity, mobile phone plan, water etc.

Do you have NAB account, if yes, get their Qantas signature card. They have a NAB customer offer with 120,000 sign up point
Looks like you need the card open for 12 months for the points. Boo
nah that’s the new customer offer, you need to login NAB portal to see the existing customer offer
Looks like I'm making a NAB account tonight
yea just create a saving or transaction account

Great earn rate. I am tempted to get this card.
