Came here to say this. However because the socks are freaking awesome, OPās left shoe had this weird optical illusion for me. It looks backwards (the treading). Anyway, awesome socks!!!!
I second shefit for running and jumping but I found they didnāt help smoosh the girls out of the way for any barbell/oly work but rather put them front and center.
I also like Born Primitive they have a couple different ones that I like and wear:
x-factor for running/jumping/most CrossFit classes.
Ignite I wear for OLY only (my box does barbell club)
Lululemon. I hated them for a long time, but the wonder train line is the best. Iām 200 lb and I wear a size 16. I order the sale stuff itās under āwe made too muchā online. Iāve found some for $40 at one point. They also last. I have no pilling in my thighs. Another brand I swear by is athleta. They are a little more size inclusive and I also buy the sale stuff online. Hope this helps!
Thick lady here (5'4"/205-210#) - I wear either Target's All in Motion brand or CVG for shorts and leggings (both have pockets, CVG generally has more compression and thicker material).
For sports bras I usually just wear Champion or All in Motion. I bought a couple in XL rather than XXL for running/jumping rope WODS.
I 2nd Athleta! Im a smaller athlete now but majority of my life was 220lbs at 5ā6ā and athleta always had my back! Still wear them now that im size small!
Swift Speed or Wunder Trains are what you want for CrossFit. Both legging types go up to size 20. Aligns are delicate fabric with the intent of them being used for yoga and are not made for workouts with any intensity.
I've been using exclusively align leggings for crossfit and hyrox for a long time! They last really well surprisingly!
I train 6 days a week and my fave pair is worn and washed at least twice per week if not 3, and they've lasted forever!
I should try the other types to be fair but aligns are so comfy!
The Wunder trains always end up rolling up or riding down depending on the time of the month. I wish they worked for me. I settle for Aligns knowing they end up looking beat up.
I think these are pretty dependent on body type. I have a thick waist and butt so regular WTs are great since Iām not hourglass shaped. But I know the WT contours are super popular for women with real waists!
The amount of sweat my no underwear wearing booty has put into pants at CrossFit is literally priceless. /s Meaning you wouldnāt want to buy them. š¤£
Wunder Trains are the way to go. Aligns have ZERO compression unless they've changed since I last bought a pair a few years ago. The Wunder Trains also have a drawstring and the Aligns do not.
I second this. I am thick with giant thighs. Iām extremely picky about them staying in place. Lululemon align 2 pants are the best Iāve found. Size down one size.
Powerhold has the most compression. Iām an XL and the motion365 move around on me/donāt hold me in like the power hold does.
when they have sales itās actually pretty affordable!
The lululemon invigorates are compression, high rise, have pockets, and a hidden drawstring. They are pricey and usually only online (not in store) but they do go on sale often! I would wait for a sale rather than pay full price.
38HH here! For bras, go with brands that actually make regular bras for big boobs. Freya, Panache, etc also make sports bras and they're sized by bra size and are amazingly supportive (I wear them for CrossFit and tennis). Honestly, with big boobs, you're never going to get adequate support from something sized L, XL, etc.
Thick-legged lady here. Whether it be expensive Lululemons or cheap leggings from Costco, they all slide downward on me. My solution has been to wear a running belt over my leggings. The one I have is called a FlipBelt. While itās specifically designed to carry essentials while running, it also functions very well to hold leggings in place, both for workouts and casual legging wear.
I recommended Oiselle. Itās a great women-owned company, and they make high quality bras, leggings, etc. I donāt buy athletic clothing anywhere else anymore.
Oh also bras - m&s for me. Comfy, easy to get in and out of the ones that zip up at the front. I can get it on while it's zipped up without having to muck around with it, but it gives great support and then can just unzip after. 38DD.
I just recommended this in another thread, but my conquering heroes and I have had luck with the Elomi Underwire Sports Bra! It has a racerback for extra strap-downage.
100% recommend [Mama Movement ](https://mamamovement.com.au/)
As a fellow thickster, I love their leggings- highwaisted, no roll down on any movements. And pockets on both sides!
same body type here. The born primitive, fleo, all the "Crossfit" brands don't work on me at all and I risk flashing the person behind me.
What I do like- old navy high rise, athleta (love these) and marika (super cheap).
I have some black shorts that I got from Matalan of all places that are the only things that won't fall down for me. Also the "this girl can" ones from Tesco.
I'm still on a legging quest at the moment as well.
Virus makes compression leggings, the fit wasn't my favorite.
I like Torrid or Dicks Sporting Goods brand or even amazon sometimes. Ryderwear is great too.
Born primitive for bras.
I don't feel like I really have a dog in this race. But I love fabletics leggings and my she-fit bras. Not a thick girl, but I have boobs and like compression leggings. š
Short and Thicc here. I exclusively wear lululemon leggings for just about everything including crossfit. I prefer Luon fabric or luxtreme and the Wunder Under crops specifically for my workouts. When it's cold, I wear the full length leggings of the same style. I prefer the crops because my calves are super muscular and keep my pants from creeping down. š I am a size 14-16 at like Old Navy, but I wear 10s from lululemon.
Bra preference has always been Target brand sports bras, C9 brand. Good luck!!
A lot of brands people are listing donāt have anything above a size 16 or XXL (for those not familiar with plus sizes, a 16 is like an XXL, which is NOT the same as a 1X) Started CrossFit wearing a 2X or 20/22. Now down to a XXL/ 1X or 16/18 (depends on brand)
Bras: SheFit or Glamorise (on Amazon). When itās jump rope day, I always wear Glamorise.
Leggings: Under Armour plus size are the best for not rolling down. They truly are high-waisted. Eddie Bauer are also good and probably have better compression, but are too thick (for me) in warmer weather.
I second glamorise sports bras (amazon). They last forever, I can usually get them for around $40, and they work great with no adjusting during any workout. They aren't the cutest, but I've literally tried 10 brands and always go back to glamorise.
While I'm generally a size 12, so I won't weigh in on leggings, my boobs are big and I prefer more support.
Iād go to one of the sports stores in Cincinnati called, athlete academy. They have every size of shoe and clothing for everybody. One of the best in my opinion. Oh, and go to the rubbing spot for shoes
Bara leggings are also really compressive and stay up! And also, maybe a size smaller could also help with the problem. I have luluās in two different sizes and the bigger ones are just for powerlifting and not for running or double unders anymore, but the size smaller stays up just fine.
Thick gal here and thereās an Australian brand called LSKD - theyāre also available in the US at https://us.lskd.co
Their Rep tights are amazing and so compressive - nothing goes anywhere for me when I wear them, and usually shit is all over the place in other leggings š¤£ also they have lots of cute colours too. Highly recommend!
Edit to add they also go up to 3XL so they have a reasonably size range too.
Sweaty Betty for leggings, specifically power 7/8. I never have to hike them up! They have a drawstring at the waist with a pocket on the left leg and zip pocket at the lower back. They have great sales. Iāve never bought a pair for full price. Plus they last forever. Iāve had one pair for over two years and I wear them at least once a week.
Thick girl myself! Fabletics leggings work really well for me!
For sports bras.. I've searched and searched for years. The only ones that work for me are under armour Infinity High sports bras! Others are okaaay.. but these are the ones I wear if the WOD calls for anything explosive.
I donāt see many comments supporting lululemon but Iāve never found leggings that work so well when I work out and lift until I started wearing lulu. Not only great for working out but also comfortable for lounging and last a long timeā¦coming from someone that used to be anti lulu
I will echo the Lululemon wunder trains and the running tights that have the drawstring. I've also found that Nobull matte leggings stay put and seem to be roomy in the thighs and run a bit large. Finally, I love Beyond Yoga spacedye leggings. They have the best compression by far, though they aren't the best moisture-wicking material.
Big girl here - 5'6", 215lb, size 14/16. Lulu has been the only brand that works and doesn't roll down. The Invigorate, Wonder Train both have pockets and they have a band at the very top that keeps the edge from rolling. They're the ONLY ones that do this and have good enough compression to hide cellulite.
My shapermint leggings are high and no matter what exercise Iām doing they do not fall down and have plenty of coverage and are very comfortable! I also have 3 pair and they all get washed every week and after 6 months they still look and feel brand new
Superfit Hero for leggings and shorts. The whole brand is for plus size only starting with size Large I believe.
Really nice material, excellent compression, and great moisture wicking. My absolute favorite. CVG is second favorite.
I have these super high compression leggings from senita. They are technically maternity leggings that I still wear but when Iām going upside down or running they are my go tos because they stay up HIGH
Im 5.6 and 153lbs; I have been buying Nobull leggings ( high rise, matt) for about 3 years now and they stay put! The only leggings to do so for me and I tried so many. The Lululemons did not work for me; had to keep pulling them up.
For sports bras (38H) I only wear shefit. I found the sizing guide to be very accurate, it feels uncomfortable when you initially put it on but once you start moving it feels fine. I literally was coming out of one the other day and my coach came over to warn me, was able to the pull the strap up and immediately fix the problem, she was very impressed. Itās $$$ but worth it. It also has made things like using the jump rope and doing burpees much more comfortable.
For bottoms CVG. They are double lined, have pockets and are high waisted. $$ but much cheaper than a lot of my friendās favorite CrossFit brands. I love the full length (I live in a cold climate) and their longest short (it has a lining at the hem so they stay put. I even tried their sweatpants recently and was floored, I struggle to find sweat pants that arenāt too tight in the thigh and these are roomy on me. I have a big booty compared to waist so before I found this brand I struggled to find anything that was squat proof. Also compared to a lot of brands that have leggings for thicker people they have more options for fun patterns (not just black!), Iāve had a lot of fun buying patterns that match my personality for the first time in my life.
Also not for CrossFit, CVG makes a summer dress that is sooooooo comfortable I bought 2 last summer (they sell out fast).
I love shefit and CVG so much that Iām sure everyone at my gym is sick and tired of listening to me gush about them (I literally pull aside every new member with a larger chest and brag about shefit).
Iāve had a good experience with many of the Costco leggings including Mondetta and Danskin! There have been some other ones Iāve tried from there that didnāt fit well and would follow down
Old post, but I wanted to jump in to say that Iāve modified my older leggings with a hidden inner waistband when they start to slip.
I cut a small vertical slit in the waistband fabric (usually just snipping through the logo printed on the inside back) and run a length of 1-1.5ā elastic all the way through the inside of that channel. I put on the pants, decide how tight I want my reinforced waistband to be, and sew the two ends of the elastic together to make a circle.
It makes a huge difference in comfort and prevents the slipping. I prefer when I donāt need to do this, but itās helped me to get another year or two out of pants/shorts that would have been tossed otherwise.
Actually I really like Torrid. Their sizing can be a little weird so I would recommend going to a brick and mortar store and trying things on, but I really like their leggings. Super thick, high quality and everything is sucked in tight.
Totally unrelated but you have cool socks
Aww thanks. š
Came here to say this. However because the socks are freaking awesome, OPās left shoe had this weird optical illusion for me. It looks backwards (the treading). Anyway, awesome socks!!!!
Big chest = SheFit Bras, no other brand works. I could not jump or run comfortably postpartum until I got them.
I second shefit for running and jumping but I found they didnāt help smoosh the girls out of the way for any barbell/oly work but rather put them front and center. I also like Born Primitive they have a couple different ones that I like and wear: x-factor for running/jumping/most CrossFit classes. Ignite I wear for OLY only (my box does barbell club)
I found the SheFit bras to be very uncomfortable. I like the sports bras from Champion much better.
I also recommend SheFit, or a Boobbuddy
I third shefit braās
Very sexy to me but All.men and women are!!!#
Such an unnecessary, cringy comment brother.
Go somewhere else with that cringey rubbish.
*@.!!!
CVG
I donāt find their leggings stay up. Especially during burpees.
Agree with CVG. Their fleece lined leggings are clutch this winter!
Yep, I too have them and love them. Recently got my neighbor addicted to CVG.
Agree. Itās the only thing I wear to work out.
I second CVG- constantly varied gear is all I wear. Compression, doesnāt slide down and fits almost all body types.
Hundo P! Came to say this
CVG is my go to. Always squat proof, they stay put, and the pockets are great.
Honestly old navy workout gear has been awesome for me - leggings, shorts, tops - they all fit well and stay in place!
I have a similar body type and athleta is my go to. They also have sizes for all unlike Lululemon. Also Vuori is a great brand too
I 2nd Athleta! Im a smaller athlete now but majority of my life was 220lbs at 5ā6ā and athleta always had my back! Still wear them now that im size small!
Iāve found vuori bras to not be great for large chests :/
I dont wear their bras but I do really like their yoga pants and tops!
Love their performance joggers!!!!
CVG (constantly varied gear) can be pricey but they do some good sales! I love their compression shorts and like that they have different lengths
For me, it's Boobbuddy
Lululemon
Swift Speed or Wunder Trains are what you want for CrossFit. Both legging types go up to size 20. Aligns are delicate fabric with the intent of them being used for yoga and are not made for workouts with any intensity.
I've been using exclusively align leggings for crossfit and hyrox for a long time! They last really well surprisingly! I train 6 days a week and my fave pair is worn and washed at least twice per week if not 3, and they've lasted forever! I should try the other types to be fair but aligns are so comfy!
Aligns are comfy but too hot! To me theyāre the sweatpants of tights. Gimme luxstreme.
The single lined ones are the only thing Iāll wear at hot yoga! The old Wunder Unders were hot and thick and wouldnāt stay up on me.
I live in HR 7/8 Aligns with pockets. I decided to accept that they may look tatty sooner than others, but for that entire time I am comfortable AF.
Ahh I see. Maybe Iāll have to give them another try! Worth a shot! Thanks for the info!
The high waisted + drawstring ones are š
The contourās are great
Thatās super helpful!
Have you tried the contour fit yet? They cinch in a bit more at the waist and stay up a lot better!
Havenāt! Just the regular - I have them in a crop and 28ā and rarely wear either. Will have to try contour fit! šš½
What size? Maybe Iāll buy them off you š
The amount of sweat my no underwear wearing booty has put into pants at CrossFit is literally priceless. /s Meaning you wouldnāt want to buy them. š¤£
Wunder Trains slide down on me like nobody's business. I absolutely hate it!
Same here - all of Lulus slide down CRAZY on me
Wunder Trains are the way to go. Aligns have ZERO compression unless they've changed since I last bought a pair a few years ago. The Wunder Trains also have a drawstring and the Aligns do not.
This is the way!!! Splurged last year and happy I did. No issues.
Another vote for Wunder Trains.
This, but I just want to add that all the oneās I own are secondhand from poshmark. You can look there too!
I second this. I am thick with giant thighs. Iām extremely picky about them staying in place. Lululemon align 2 pants are the best Iāve found. Size down one size.
I wear wunder train, fast and frees, base pace, and all the right places.
Look on like new also. Invigorates are good and train times, a bit thicker more compressive.
Popflex
Fabletics motion 365 line.
I also like fabletics but I only buy the power hold fabric. I like this it compresses more than the 365.
Powerhold has the most compression. Iām an XL and the motion365 move around on me/donāt hold me in like the power hold does. when they have sales itās actually pretty affordable!
Agree with this! It's the only leggings I find comfortable to workout in. I like their higher impact bras for crossfit too.
I second Fabletics!!
I second the motion 365 and the SheFit from earlier - im a fellow thick lady with an apron belly!
The lululemon invigorates are compression, high rise, have pockets, and a hidden drawstring. They are pricey and usually only online (not in store) but they do go on sale often! I would wait for a sale rather than pay full price.
Thereās a ton on lulu like new page! Thanks for this rec!
38HH here! For bras, go with brands that actually make regular bras for big boobs. Honestly, with big boobs, you're never going to get adequate support from something sized L, XL, etc.
Fleo! All day every day. No pockets but you donāt need them
The Reverie line has pockets! I found them to run about a size bigger than the El Toros though.
Interesting I havenāt bought a pair in a while
Thick-legged lady here. Whether it be expensive Lululemons or cheap leggings from Costco, they all slide downward on me. My solution has been to wear a running belt over my leggings. I recommended Oiselle. Itās a great women-owned company, and they make high quality bras, leggings, etc. I donāt buy athletic clothing anywhere else anymore.
I love spanx booty boost. They are expensive but very durable.
i second this. the *best* leggings.
My go to is the lululemon fast and free because it has a drawstring and those are the only pants that will stay up on me
This!!!!
Oh also bras - m&s for me. Comfy, easy to get in and out of the ones that zip up at the front. I can get it on while it's zipped up without having to muck around with it, but it gives great support and then can just unzip after. 38DD.

Born Primitive Paragon leggings are my go-to. They fit great and look great.
I wear lululemon wunder trains and Fabletics but my Fabletics donāt last as long, however the power holds are really compressive which I do like
Cotopaxi leggings and a shefit bra.
Maaree bras, small company, won awards. I swear by them.
I don't feel like I really have a dog in this race. But I love fabletics leggings and my she-fit bras. Not a thick girl, but I have boobs and like compression leggings. š

Is there a specific type of legging from UA?
I got mine through Kohlās- a couple are āheat gearā and the others are regular (? Iām not super familiar with the optionsā¦)
Thanks!!
Iād go to one of the sports stores in Cincinnati called, athlete academy. They have every size of shoe and clothing for everybody. One of the best in my opinion. Oh, and go to the rubbing spot for shoes
Superfithero
Bara leggings are also really compressive and stay up! And also, maybe a size smaller could also help with the problem. I have luluās in two different sizes and the bigger ones are just for powerlifting and not for running or double unders anymore, but the size smaller stays up just fine.

The lululemon wunder trains are the best by far.
I will be sharing this with my wife cuz now im yelling brand names across the room :D
I donāt see many comments supporting lululemon but Iāve never found leggings that work so well when I work out and lift until I started wearing lulu. Not only great for working out but also comfortable for lounging and last a long timeā¦coming from someone that used to be anti lulu
Old Navy high rise and baleaf high rise. They're all available with pockets and don't fall down. Both brands also go to 3xl.
I will echo the Lululemon wunder trains and the running tights that have the drawstring. I've also found that Nobull matte leggings stay put and seem to be roomy in the thighs and run a bit large. The Invigorate, Wonder Train both have pockets and they have a band at the very top that keeps the edge from rolling. My wife swears by fabletics.
Ptula!!
Im 5.6 and 153lbs; I have been buying Nobull leggings ( high rise, matt) for about 3 years now and they stay put! The only leggings to do so for me and I tried so many. The Lululemons did not work for me; had to keep pulling them up.

Popfit leggings are awesome, wide 1.5" elastic, high rise waist, pockets, compression!
Old post, but I wanted to jump in to say that Iāve modified my older leggings with a hidden inner waistband when they start to slip. My actual hero. Iām super crafty so I can absolutely do this.
Lulu or born primitive
Lululemon invigorate. I buy on Mercari to save money.

Mom? You got Reddit?
Usually when Iām laid out like that, Iām in a puddle of sweat.
Actually I really like Torrid. Their sizing can be a little weird so I would recommend going to a brick and mortar store and trying things on, but I really like their leggings. Super thick, high quality and everything is sucked in tight.
