Did you mean to not have it have an equip cost?
There is a little flavor lost in that there are no devil mechanics mentioned on the card, I do like that it can be reset to make a consistent stream of 2/1 atttackers
seems a fair bit weaker than cryptic cost. the return cost is reduced, but it only makes 1/1s, they don't have ward, and they can't be flipped into creatures. 2 mana would help, making it a 2/1 haste creature with upside, a pretty in-demand type of card in standard. maybe bump the return cost back up to two if 3 mana for a 1/1 is too much, but that doesn't seem too unreasonable.
I think it could reasonably cost 2, but there is a fair bit support for ltb triggers in boros colours, and the archetype was already pretty pushed, so I erred on the side of caution
I can respect that. standard boros doesn't really need the help. maybe try to appeal to a different red archetype, like midrange. maybe swap the haste for first strike or menace, and maybe provide some sort of exile-draw effect, giving it that grindy midrange advantage that the coat provides? in this case, you wouldn't have to cut the cost down.

I did mean for that, it’s basically supposed to be a red [[cryptic coat]], also hence the lack of devil synergy. The art did fit though.
Neat little bit then!

There’s some obvious inspiration here from a certain coat, love that card to bits
A whole color cycle inspired by coat would be sick
