I think, especially in EDH, that's where most players would see the appeal. But I could see it finding a solid spot as a sideboard staple in formats that have them. 🤷♂️
Thing is I'm pretty sure how it works is even though the MODE is locked in when you first put the spell on the stack, the actual choice only happens when it resolves, so you'd then be able to pivot to "Goodbye all equipment" AFTER people had already gotten rid of their own treasures for you, or whatnot.
Feel foo week, misses a lot of important artifacts like Chalice of the Void and Null Rod on top of being a sorcery spell. This could at least be an instant
Looks good, but I doubt they'd print it unless it had an explanation of what artifact types are. Otherwise casuals will think it targets artifacts by name (e.g. destroy all Sol Rings)
Maybe, but every creature has a type. Most artifacts have no type. A line that says "for example, equipment and treasure are artifact types" or whatever types are most common in this imaginary block would be most likely added
Most artifacts don't have a subtype, and colorless is not an option when choosing a color
A lot of the time this is a removal spell with nothing to remove
Imo it's too niche.
Most of the time this will only hit one or maybe two artifacts
You could honestly remove the restrictions, and say "destroy all artifacts that have a subtype or destroy all artifacts that aren't colorless" and it wouldn't increase the power level much
Seems fine, definitely in line with modern removal spells. Well done!
Equipment based decks are going to hate anyone who uses this, but it's still probably fair
Is Boeing an artifact type?
are whistleblowers an artifact type?
I imagine if we were gonna do brand named card sets the brands would be in the type line so yes?
Is mayonnaise an artifact type?
Targeting mayonnaise would be cracked. Imagine enjoying a nice game of magic until somebody plays this on you, and now you have a dry ass sandwich
That's a really cool [[painter's servant]] hate card, wonder if it can be used against other decks

Good sidegrade to Echoing Ruin, but it really will just make the Hammer Time player at your LGS very salty.
Is it really a LGS game without atleast a _little_ salt?
Destroy all treasures being the usual purpose?
I think, especially in EDH, that's where most players would see the appeal. But I could see it finding a solid spot as a sideboard staple in formats that have them. 🤷♂️
Nice flavor, not sure how impactful it is, since tokens are just sacced for a response
Treaasures yes, others, only if there's mana

A hopefully slightly more impactful [[Echoing Ruin]] without being a straight up upgade...

I like this. Reminiscent of old format sideboard hate cards
I see some evil with it and mycosynth lattice hehehe
Bassomer Disaster is a call to any work of fiction ? Cool post.
Bassomer Bridge is a location in New Capenna. So just a name steal.
No no, its called 'anchoring', you call for places or events that resonate with your audience. Cheers.
Might need some rewording, "Choose Artifact, Artifact Creatures, or an Artifact subtype", with a list of subtypes in reminder text.
The for mirrodien killer 3000
is colorless a color?
Nope! I double checked.
nice if you chaked its mean you cared and put in effert :) i will find a diffrent way to use it
mycosynth Lattice and pick lands
If it helps my credibility, it took me like two days to find the art 😅. Huge shout-out to this artist!
ahaha, did you link him?
Just their name in the card atm, but that is a great idea! Def gonna do that for future cards, at the very least
oh i see that, i did not know i can put the artis name on the card
Yep! That specifically is a requirement for posts that use art on this subreddit. More artist rep though is always good!
oh i am new on reddit and did not read the rules yet sincs i did not plan on posting yet and it look mostly like common sense staff...
All good! Enjoy it!
This could do with a third mode targeting a mana cost
Looks good, but I doubt they'd print it unless it had an explanation of what artifact types are. Otherwise casuals will think it targets artifacts by name (e.g. destroy all Sol Rings)
I disagree. There are enough instances of cards using 'creature type' that artifact type would be an easy enough concept to extrapolate to.
Maybe, but every creature has a type. Most artifacts have no type. A line that says "for example, equipment and treasure are artifact types" or whatever types are most common in this imaginary block would be most likely added
Most artifacts don't have a subtype, and colorless is not an option when choosing a color A lot of the time this is a removal spell with nothing to remove
By design
Imo it's too niche. Most of the time this will only hit one or maybe two artifacts You could honestly remove the restrictions, and say "destroy all artifacts that have a subtype or destroy all artifacts that aren't colorless" and it wouldn't increase the power level much
Maybe add one colorless mana?
