Since you already have a bike, you can get a bike trainer that you can put your bike on instead of a stationary bike. DC Rainmaker and GPlama have good reviews. Usually plenty of good deals on Facebook marketplace.
Welcome welcome!
Only one thing matters: having fun riding.
Get a floor pump with a gauge and make sure your tires are at the right pressure. Bike tires seep air slowly.
See you on the road. I’ll be the guy in the gutter fixing a pinch flat.
Hi and welcome to the club, Don't worry about speed for now. Its best to start with a focus on "TITS" (Time In The Saddle) - aim to ride a bit longer each week or month. This will help set a good base for your body and mind to do longer and faster rides in the future.
I recommend using something to track your progress. STRAVA is a popular phone app - you can record your rides and later review them on a map. It will also track how much time and distance you put in each week or month.
Stationary bike is fine but most of the stationary bikes I know end up unused. Its just not as fun as biking in the outdoors.
>I’ve struggled to stay active consistently in the past as it’s always felt like a chore, but biking is something I kinda fell in love with.
Looks like you got this.
