I had a fantasy story about Vampire losing a war because Alchemists manage to vaccinate the population against Vampire bites so the Vampires instead go into hiding amongst the people to spread fear and convince the uneducated masses that vaccines makes them impotent so they'll all stop using the vaccine and Vampires take over the world.
