2023 is just around the corner, and so is the release of my full first person conversion mod for Dark Souls 3 - FPS! Although I might have taken a small break from working on it (maybe it was actually over 100 days), in the last week I got myself together and put all my effort into making this: a single file (technically 2 file because it has a config - but that's a good thing) first person mod without any external dependencies, that should hopefully be compatible with any other mod out there!
For those of you who haven't heard about First Person Souls, it is a project I lead with the goal to convert as many fromsoftware souls titles into full first person games. I started with Dark Souls 3, and here is the result. This means proper first person controls, configurable settings, neat things like custom keybindings and head tracking in animations. What truly sets this mod apart from those before it is that it does not depend on Cheat Engine or other 3rd party tools, it is a dll, which I will release with full open source code.
The release is near, but it's not there yet. This version of the mod is currently being playtested by me and my testers, ironing it out and further improving on it.

There are two options for rolls: full head tracking and no head tracking. Full head tracking is just what it sounds like; it might be nauseating, but it's also very fun. No head tracking is good too, it still looks distinctly like a roll, but minus the vomiting.
Finally! I don't like using CE and I never will, I know you're doing it for fun, but it seems like a super decent work, anyways, happy 2023 for you too!
Also, don't let one guy go into your mind asking for dumb things to your mod, do what you're willing to do until you're satisfied with the result, you don't need to always give attention to those kind of people, have fun!

My mod differs in the way it controls, in that it has head tracking, seamless switching between 3rd and 1st person and in that it is a file mod, among other things.
Just heard about this, and wow, this looks insane. Kinda curious how compatible it will be with the other FROM games, IE Elden Ring or Dark Souls 1? I can imagine it would take some pretty heavy work to get it to work in ER specifically considering how Torrent is a factor, yeah?

All PC fromsoftware titles are planned to be covered, eventually. Older games will be harder than new ones, since the new ones reuse a lot of code.
