what are the chances that euron is bluffing here? it always seemed to me like he really has been around the world and seen some shit. his dragon horn is definitely supernatural. unless he’s dying his lips blue as a ruse, he has been drinking shade of the evening.
has anyone read/listened to the forsaken winds of winter sample chapter? i haven’t, but i recall hearing that it describes euron as doing some lovecraftian shit. so i’m pretty sure that he does deal with magic, but i don’t know if he fully understands what he’s doing. or rather he’s too insane to care
Assuming the dragon horn or the Valyrian steel armour are real, it still doesn't mean he looted them from Valyria. For all we know he might have bought them from Mantarys with dragon eggs or something.
I have my doubts about the armor. The description says the scales "gleamed and shimmered." Valyrian steel is usually described as smokey or rippling. GRRM uses "gleam" and "shimmer" to describe magic during moments of deception (especially Melisandre's ruby). Probably Euron preying on the gullible and vulnerable, like always
Pretty low, the whole Euron didn’t go to Valyria thing is massive copage from fans that dislike Euron and think he is “too edgy” or whatever. Even if he didn’t directly enter Valyria he probably warged into someone that did. I think he has a general idea of what he is doing, based off Forsaken it seems like he is planning a huge blood sacrifice based off all the prisoners he captured and is trying to attract/hatch some monstrosity, whether or not he will be able to control it though idk.
