44 Bank shots seems almost impossibly low that's wild! How were bank shots categorized? Having watched Melo play I would think he missed far more shots off the backboard than 44 (but I suppose here that is counted as a missed jump shot)?
Would be interesting to see what his shot chart would look like if he got drafted in like 2017 or something. There’s definitely still a need for midrange/post up in today’s game but it has definitely diminished.
Thanks, but why comment just to hate? Honoring a hoop legend today on Carmelo’s 40th Birthday. Melo means more to real hooper basketball culture than just about any player you can name. Arguably the most versatile matchup-proof scorer to ever play, even Draymond says he was the toughest player to stop. Anthony is the NBA’s 10th all-time leading scorer and headed for the hall of fame in the class of 2024.
I liked Melo, was fun to watch but guy was a one dimensional scorer and black hole on offense. Even Brunson has/will carry the Knicks further in the offseason.
Every great player has an equal and opposite reaction to people who don’t like them. The most hated QB of all time is Tom Brady. The most hated bball player of all time is either Jordan or LeBron.
I guess we can’t talk about all their amazing stats since so many people don’t like them?
Maybe OP should have checked with this commenter before posting beautified data. /s
Almost as beautiful as Melo’s shooting technique.
Boy am I glad my Pistons drafted Darko Milicic instead of Carmelo. (pain)

Impressive. How long did it take?
Most surprising to me is only 1/60 from past half court
Is bank shot any jumper or hooks he tried to bank in? Edit: I know what a bank shot is just 44 seems incredibly low
They were likely accidental bank shots. Only player, in recent memory, that had that shot down was Tim Duncan.
One of the most overrated players of all time. High volume chucker.
I really did not remember this from watching him play but it seems he was not afraid of shooting heaves unlike other players
Great job, but why select one of the least likable players?
