You HAVE to stop worrying about what you think others are thinking about you. You know you’re a decent human being just taking in a beautiful day. Dont let what you think others are thinking ruin that day.

Unfortunately, born and raised here. It's been a disturbing downhill trend over the past 15-20 years. It feels almost...high school clique-y? There's no genuinely good way to describe it. Most I am "allowed" to be comfortably do in public, it seems at times, is to make small-talk with the old folks waiting in line when it's super busy at the Co-op grocery or the like. It's been really rough lately and I guess today was a breaking point. I'm in my mid-30s but feel like I'm watching the world around me become so isolationist I may as well be twice my age and it's very disturbing to recognize these patterns become increasingly more common every day.

The truth is that we don’t ever really leave that High School cliqueyness and the more people there are around the farther they are away from each other. You just got to find your people. Do you have any friends or family you can talk to?
