Jason has over 100 more on screen kills than Michael and hasn’t had a movie since 2009. In fact, Jason has the highest kill count out of any slasher villain including Chucky who got his own tv series that racked up most of his kill count. Michael may have come first, and yes we wouldn’t have Jason without Michael, but Jason has way more of a claim to that title than Michael does because he arguably made a bigger impact on audiences overall. My dad still recalls how scared of the woods him, my uncle, grandmother, and even grandfather were all scared of the woods for a while after seeing Friday the 13th Part 2.
Minor spoiler for the most recent season of Chucky. Part of the marketing was the highest Chucky kill count of all time, and they nuke a location off screen. So technically Chucky now has the highest kill count because it's in the literal thousands. No on screen deaths so obviously a cop out, but technically speaking.
No he doesn’t, Chucky nukes >!the North Pole which is unpopulated.!< And if we’re counting off screen kills, Jason blows up an entire space city with a population of thousands in Jason X.
I mean, we never got any confirmation that Santa is real in that universe. The Christian God is confirmed to be real in Season 2 though, and ghosts in Season 3, so Santa definitely could be.
Plus, Chucky never dunked someone's head into a sink of liquid nitrogen and then *SMASHED* their fucking face into the counter.
Chucky could nuke a major city and Jason would still have more points from me for that kill alone.
I like this one a lot and it fits, but I feel like they could save that for a unlicensed killer as there’s not really a water themed killer yet and I feel like they could fit a backstory with this title pretty easily
They use this term to describe one of the antagonists from Tokyo Ghoul (all the ghouls have nicknames) because he wears a similar mask so it would actually be a fun easter egg if DBD used this hah
I’m 75% sure they wouldn’t have been able due to the lawsuit even if bhvr wanted to. The creator(Victor Miller) and company (Horror Inc) were pretty much fighting for custody rights over Jason. It’s why the Friday the 13th game shut down and got pulled off from sales. The game is even shutting down in December.
Um, actually, the sound is “ki-ki-ki, ma-ma-ma,” as in “Kill for Mother.”
Yeah I know it sounds like ch, ah, until you know what it is supposed to be. Weird brain things, you know
That and the Friday the 13th games loading screen always reminded people it was "Ki-ki-ki"
One of the cool things I like about F13 Game was the info during loading.
My favorite memory was playing in a LAN party with a bunch of friends. We had the Jason player on a PC in another room and we would cycle who went in there to play. When it was my turn, I set my phone right by the microphone playing Tiptoe Through the Tulips, and the proximity-based voice chat did the rest. I could hear everyone else freaking out whenever they started hearing the music lmao
That game had a ton of cool things. The kills were amazing. The single player vs the bots was really cool, had a lot of fun scenerios! At least at a beginner level, Jason was terrifying to go against.
Man I miss that game. I know it's still sort of active, but it was the greatest thing on its release.
No one knew wtf they were doing, the proximity chat of hearing the Jason player say dumb shit while giving chase. Trolling Jason with the Flare gun and pocket knives.
So many laughs that were had.
Man, I loved that game back went it came out.
I remember playing as Jason, I used to shit talk in the mic to the counselors.
I enjoyed hearing them freak out, it was funny af
My thing is The Slasher is a bit generic, and The Revenant I can't really see ever really working on anyone that's not a licensed character who's known for returning, and it fits Jason better than Afton :p
Revenant is one of those words that wouldn't work well in other languages. English has more words than most other languages which don't have as much specificity. I think a lot of them don't have an equivalent. A bit like how in Dutch 'aap' means both ape and monkey.
It would be pretty cliche, but deserving if Jason was reffered to as The Slasher because my man was the reason why horror was catapulted in the early 80s until Freddy revatilazed it in the middle of the 80s and Ghostface gave it a revival during the 90s
I definitely like The Revenant and The Friday (lmao), but I think The Unstoppable could also work.
It actually makes me think about what his power would be. I feel like it would need to be something like a mix of Shape, Ghost Face, and Oni. Starting out being very slow but a greatly reduced terror radius. Then having some sort of enrage, maybe with something related to breaking walls or pallets.
There’s certainly lots of possibilities. Maybe he would be the first to have his power fully dictated by Add-ons? I know most Iri addons change the way the Killer is played, but maybe it would work for Jason to have that all the way down.
There’s just so much that he can do!
It's not so much the power, it's the look, they look very similar. I honestly wouldn't mind a giant trapper rework in combination with them just turning him into jason vorhees, "the trapper" if they got the license
A few people have said it, but The Slasher would be very fitting. I feel like when most people think of slasher films, Friday the 13th probably pops into their heads first. It’s synonymous with the genre, completely schlocky torture porn with a big guy running around killing misbehaving teens. That’s kind of his brand.
I also *really* like the suggestion The Mama’s Boy. It’s a mouthful but it suits him, unless we ever get Norman Bates lol
EDIT: One of his costumes *better* be Jason X.
The Slasher or The Son. The Slasher because he’s the OG horror slasher villain. The Son because his relationship with his mother is so essential to his character and plus it sounds cool
The Undead would be fitting. However I'm more interested in what his power could be. Only seen Deadmeat's Kill Counts for his movies and outside of being super strong he can teleport and that's pretty much it, no?
I'm pretty sure the names are based on what the survivors name them since they have no access to the killers backstories
If I was oblivious to Jason story and he came around me slashing about I'd probably call him The Slasher
"The Slasher" is what i would personally pick, given how Jason is considered to be the OG Slasher by many people (Michael Myers did technically come first, but Jason is pretty much the guy who spawned the actual Slasher Genre and all of it's tropes.)
Since someone already said the Slasher, I’ll say
*THE LEGEND*
Throughout the movies, Jason is used as a camp fire legend to scare campers, except he turns out to be real.
But the Slasher I think is the best fit. You think slasher movie, you think a guy in the woods with a hockey mask, you think Jason.
JAROD THE SLASHER
After a tough teenage year of hockey when he would go pro, the man's in Toronto said no more. After they drowned him he said "IM CHEEESED FAM, THESE MANS ARE GONNA PAY".
Now, he's back with a vengeance. Nobody can score a goal.
The Slasher
This is the one here, guys. Jason is THE slasher
Michael Myers arguably has an equally strong claim to that epiphet.
He was more of a stabber.
But Michael got called The Shape in the credits which is why his name in DbD is also The Shape.
Jason has over 100 more on screen kills than Michael and hasn’t had a movie since 2009. In fact, Jason has the highest kill count out of any slasher villain including Chucky who got his own tv series that racked up most of his kill count. No he doesn’t, Chucky nukes >!the North Pole which is unpopulated.!< And if we’re counting off screen kills, Jason blows up an entire space city with a population of thousands in Jason X.
He killed the hopes and dreams of all children on earth. Santa is dead. Give him some credit, lol.
I mean, we never got any confirmation that Santa is real in that universe. The Christian God is confirmed to be real in Season 2 though, and ghosts in Season 3, so Santa definitely could be.
I forgot about Jason X, that's on me. So yeah Jason would still be in the lead
Plus, Chucky never dunked someone's head into a sink of liquid nitrogen and then *SMASHED* their fucking face into the counter. Chucky could nuke a major city and Jason would still have more points from me for that kill alone.
He what ??? 😭
Yep. >!He even said “FUCK SANTA” right before he fired the nuke.!<
This isn't accurate. The gap between Michael Myers and Jason's kills is much less than 100
Michael has always been "The Shape" since the very first film. Jason is "The Slasher" through and through.
I agree , to be fair he is the original slasher , Jason is actually inspired by him and Freddy as well , he is the birth of the slasher genre.
His mother was the slasher, Jason is the perfect example of a Revenant.
The hash slinging slasher https://preview.redd.it/y5ct0q3od02d1.jpeg?width=324&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bf7cf826463a9705e20e5b8b921da18f1dafd77f
The shash ringing, flash pinging, ringing of the trash ringing ringing duhhhh
Real though This is the proper answer
The hash slinging...the...the dash ringing...
THE WALLS WILL OOZE GREEN SLIME!? no wait they always do that...
But what was that third thing?!
![gif](giphy|3ofSBy2HM6Bp5XYxmU)
My immediate thought.
The Drowned
Don't know if I'm the only one but the first thing I thought of with that name is Minecraft
The Minecraft...
I didn't know about the Minecraft one until after I posted this 😂
Oh no, the Ben DLC!
I actually like this one
This is the one I thought of as well hes basically always featured underwater
I like this one a lot and it fits, but I feel like they could save that for a unlicensed killer as there’s not really a water themed killer yet and I feel like they could fit a backstory with this title pretty easily
This would be my second pick after "The Slasher"
oh i loved dark nights metal
The Jason
The Camper... Oh God noooo!
One of the holy trinity of DbD: The Camper, The Slugger and The Tunneler /s
The Slugger.... Human Centipede confirmed.
You know we gotta make this real, yes? We gotta make memes about it now.
The Friday The 13th
Part 2
*THE Part 2
The Dead by Daylighter
This
They use this term to describe one of the antagonists from Tokyo Ghoul (all the ghouls have nicknames) because he wears a similar mask so it would actually be a fun easter egg if DBD used this hah
The Mama's Boy.
Mama’s handsome little man
I think we save that for Norman Bates
He's gonna be The Psycho
Now this is a chapter I would kill for. Imagine a Bates Motel map?
It could make a good dog bone map with the bates mansion on one side and the motel on the other
The Undying. So we can have Nemesis on Nemesis, Predator on Freddator, and Undying on Undying. (edit: spelling)
Predator already has Freddy though?
I think you added a capital on predator that wasn't supposed to be there, and forgot an a before it.
Always thought "The Son" would be a good fit given the fact that it's his mother that kinda make him kill people (And also because he's good boy)
This was my first thought as well!
The 13th
That would have been so cool if he actually was the 13th killer to be added to DBD
wow bhvr failed on that opportunity such a bad company /s
I’m 75% sure they wouldn’t have been able due to the lawsuit even if bhvr wanted to. The creator(Victor Miller) and company (Horror Inc) were pretty much fighting for custody rights over Jason. It’s why the Friday the 13th game shut down and got pulled off from sales. The game is even shutting down in December.
Good thing da lawsuit ended
Good thing I got a time machine.
The Friday
The Friday the 13th Part 8 Jason Takes Manhattan has a nice ring to it.
The Manhattanite
**THE** Slasher.
The Camper The Revenant The Child The Slasher
The Camper? Doesn’t bubba already hold that title?
The Ch-ch-ch-ah-ah-ah.
Um, actually, the sound is “ki-ki-ki, ma-ma-ma,” as in “Kill for Mother.” Yeah I know it sounds like ch, ah, until you know what it is supposed to be. Weird brain things, you know
That and the Friday the 13th games loading screen always reminded people it was "Ki-ki-ki" One of the cool things I like about F13 Game was the info during loading.
Gonna be honest, that’s where I learned it haha
Same. I miss that game a lot, made some great friends and even greater memories on there
My favorite memory was playing in a LAN party with a bunch of friends.
Homemade Terror radius
I’m honestly back to playing it on and off. Sucks there’s so many rage quitter hosts though.
always hated killing the host and being booted instantly, especially after waiting like an hour to be Jason
I learned that from Ice Nine Kills' song about him LoL
I know this a joke but this iconic sound BETTER come with his release (whenever that may be)
The Revenant could be a unique one. Since he just keeps coming back like one.
I was thinking The Slasher (Scoobie101 said) would be good since Jason is generally considered *the* slasher, but that one's really creative!
My thing is The Slasher is a bit generic, and The Revenant I can't really see ever really working on anyone that's not a licensed character who's known for returning, and it fits Jason better than Afton :p
Isn't that the point of calling them these titles? The Mastermind, The Nurse, The Trapper. I say The Slasher fits as well as any others do
Keeps coming back? Always comes back? Sprintrap?!?!? ![img](emote|t5_3cb2g|2070)
Though I did tell someone else that such a name would work better for Jason imo. Particularly as Afton has other names he can use just as well
Revenant is one of those words that wouldn't work well in other languages. English has more words than most other languages which don't have as much specificity. I think a lot of them don't have an equivalent. A bit like how in Dutch 'aap' means both ape and monkey.
The Revenant is what I always thought they should name springtrap lol Works well for Jason too I think
I'd always liked The Attraction. Though if going more Revenant, I'd likely go The Remnant instead as a nod to that whole thing.
One of his nick names is the crystal lake killer. But that's a bit on the nose and it's long.
The Lake
The Killer
Alan Wake's nemesis!
nah, his biggest fan!
The Hash-Slinging Slasher
Nosferatu
He's The Man Behind the Mask and he's out of control.
He's the teenage frankenstein
The legend seeing as he’s sort of a myth in the movies
I feel like this one would work better for Candyman though
I feel like The Candyman or The Legend would be more fitting.
The Mamas Boy
The Drowned, The Revenant, The Undying, The Hellbound. Take your pick.
It would be pretty cliche, but deserving if Jason was reffered to as The Slasher because my man was the reason why horror was catapulted in the early 80s until Freddy revatilazed it in the middle of the 80s and Ghostface gave it a revival during the 90s
Probably “the slasher” or something like that. I could see something like “the drowned” working as well.
I would have thought something like a base form of trapper mixed with a stalking ability that would tie in with a spirit like warp skill
There’s certainly lots of possibilities. Maybe he would be the first to have his power fully dictated by Add-ons? I know most Iri addons change the way the Killer is played, but maybe it would work for Jason to have that all the way down. There’s just so much that he can do!
My sweet boy
Mommy’s boy
The lawsuit
The Intellectual Property Dispute
The Trapper. Oh… oh wait.
People comparing him to the trapper never make sense. Bear traps are not and have never been a main thing for Jason.
Trapper's inspiration is only in design. It's still there, but it's just the design
Remake Jason uses traps
It's not so much the power, it's the look, they look very similar. I honestly wouldn't mind a giant trapper rework in combination with them just turning him into jason vorhees, "the trapper" if they got the license
I get the joke but he doesn’t use traps in the mainline of movies at all
The Sunken
A few people have said it, but The Slasher would be very fitting. I feel like when most people think of slasher films, Friday the 13th probably pops into their heads first. It’s synonymous with the genre, completely schlocky torture porn with a big guy running around killing misbehaving teens. That’s kind of his brand. I also *really* like the suggestion The Mama’s Boy. It’s a mouthful but it suits him, unless we ever get Norman Bates lol EDIT: One of his costumes *better* be Jason X.
The Pissed Off Goalie (shoutout to my fellow FvJ fans).
The Camper and he will camp you
The Slasher or The Son. The Slasher because he’s the OG horror slasher villain. The Son because his relationship with his mother is so essential to his character and plus it sounds cool
I mean they could call him “The Camper” but I can only imagine the type of player that would encourage…
>If Jason were to be added, what would his name be? The Delayed.
I think The Curse would be cool.
![gif](giphy|xT9KVH3tIVAT6AOzw4|downsized)
I agree with some of the other people here. The Revenant just fits
The Undead would be fitting. However I'm more interested in what his power could be. Only seen Deadmeat's Kill Counts for his movies and outside of being super strong he can teleport and that's pretty much it, no?
Depends on the movie you watch and/or the Friday the 13th video game
The Revenant, The Curse, The Slasher, or if you’re feeling cheeky, the Deadite.
The Goalie.
The slasher or the drowned
Either the slasher or the goalie
The hockey player
The Hockey player
The Momma's Boy
The 13th
Can’t believe I’m the first to say this: **The Jason**
The slasher
The Slasher.
the mommas boy
The momma’s boy
The Slasher The Revenant The Camper The Drowned The Legend The Son The Zombie I can go on lol
The revenant
The slasher is the only name that makes sense
Jason is the king of horror, let alone slashes. He is hin. He is THE Slasher.
I'm pretty sure the names are based on what the survivors name them since they have no access to the killers backstories If I was oblivious to Jason story and he came around me slashing about I'd probably call him The Slasher
The Prude.
The Booba
It should be **The Slasher**. The Revenant can be taken by a future OG killer
Thing is; they tend to give specific names to licensed killers and save the generic ones for OG ones. Example, The Spirit and The Onryō.
The camper?
I think The Undead suits him the best.
"The Slasher" is what i would personally pick, given how Jason is considered to be the OG Slasher by many people (Michael Myers did technically come first, but Jason is pretty much the guy who spawned the actual Slasher Genre and all of it's tropes.)
Jason luve
First thought was instantly "The Slasher".
Jay Dawg
Wet willy
Drowned
The camper
The stalker or the prowler, or the unrelenting
The Slasher The Revenant The Drowned The Undying The Son The Brute
The drowned
The Unstoppable The Vengeful The Slasher The Drowned
The Slasher is the best possible name, but if they decide to incorporate Pamela enough it’d be neat if they called him The Son.
Isn’t it obvious that he’d be The Slasher
The Terror
The Rage
The slaughter
The slasher. The Revenant. The Mama's boy.
The Momma’s Boy
The Revenant.
Either The Slasher or The Drowned
The Drowned
The Goalie
The Brute.
The boy who drowned
The Sex Hater
Since someone already said the Slasher, I’ll say *THE LEGEND* Throughout the movies, Jason is used as a camp fire legend to scare campers, except he turns out to be real. But the Slasher I think is the best fit. You think slasher movie, you think a guy in the woods with a hockey mask, you think Jason.
The Evil.
The mommy's boy
The slasher or the zombie/undead something along those lines
JAROD THE SLASHER After a tough teenage year of hockey when he would go pro, the man's in Toronto said no more. After they drowned him he said "IM CHEEESED FAM, THESE MANS ARE GONNA PAY". Now, he's back with a vengeance. Nobody can score a goal.
Just call him The Killer lmao Really though if I named him, I’d say name him The Man Behind The Mask. But realistically it’s gonna be The Slasher.
The Slasher, The Camper, The 13th
The Goalkeeper.
The Unkillable
The Slasher The Camper The Revenant Those are the best I've got.
