I would just leave hatch open and wander on the other side of the map but sometimes the survivor takes ages to find it or just wants to wait so I can see them leave. So if I find it first, I close it and then go off to break any pallets/walls/use my power while they get a gate open.
Yeah, I used to just leave it open in the hopes the survivor would find it, but too many times the survivor has been hiding, waiting for me to find it so they can open the gate. Wish there was a "spare the last survivor" button to save everyone's time.
I do this with No Way Out. I love watching the timer reach 60 seconds left and then a full stack of No Way Out activates at one of the gates. Then I just continue to wait at the closed hatch.
Yes. I always try to give the last person hatch or gate.
I hate the 1v1 on survivor because the killer can just zone you out for 2 minutes.
So as killer I don't do it.
