I had one of those 360 cameras and decided that I'd use it to take a snapshot for my avatar. But I put on my Jason mask first. I got so many comments of "WHERE DID YOU GET THAT AVATAR!"
Sorry guys, I made it. lol
360 was so great, but as with most things it really needed more Jason Voorhees.
Thats quality. If you want to play OTR add my xbox live its the name on this account, not the username. My old account was leathery whale
Edit: Jo gamerpic now on my reddit
A shame the voice acting seems a tad phoned in, I'm sure it'll grow on me a decent bit at least, and if not someone will probably make a mod putting it back in, everything else seems to be a massive improvement yet still being faithful, it's exactly what I want out of a remake/remaster compared to something I was a bit lukewarm on like RE4's remake, Sometimes you just shouldn't tone it down.
But what worries me more, we didn't really hear any of the licensed music or any talk about them including it in the trailers did we? It really wouldn't be Dead Rising if you didn't enter the park and hear "WEEEEELLLLL HE AINT MY BOY BUT THE BROTHER IS HEAVY"
I won’t lie RE4R is probably the best remake ever, has its own identity but keeps what made it fun in the gameplay with massive improvements, not to mention separate ways is so much better.
If RE2 and 4 had great remakes (3 wasn’t terrible, just rushed like it’s OG) I have no doubt they could cook again
Didn't like the 4 remake, it lost a lot of what made the original fun IMO, half-step backwards on the gameplay (far too weighty and enemies are just tanky, Ashley is a thousand times worse) and a full step backwards story wise, all the campy elements of it have been steamrolled down into poorly delivered one-liners with some really dry delivery, it's trying too hard to make the game a lot more serious when the well executed campiness of the original was what made it so fun.
Weighty but at least you can fluidly move, just them tank controls are outdated, Ashley being worse is a bad take though, she was incredibly annoying though. Luis is so much better, the only issue with bosses would be Saddler but SW helped give him more screen time and a whole boss fight. Yes the campiness will be missed tho but again, it’s redoing the story.
I'd take the original RE4 controls any day of the week over the ones in the remake.
I played Professional again a few months ago, most of my deaths were just getting stuck on singular scenes because Ashley's AI was being dogshit, typically getting nuked on the catapult parts, and the part where you play alone as her is just tedious because as you run around aimlessly on the escape if you get hit once you're sent back several minutes.
I don't think there should be a "redo" of the story though, I can accept it with RE2 as it's a drastically different game with drastically different appeals, but RE4 Remake effectively appeals to the exact same style of gameplay, which is the worst type of remake, a reimagining that can and will replace the original in the eyes of a newcomer to the series.
With RE2 it hooks in people who otherwise wouldn't have played the original and still leaves the original as a completely different product still enjoyable (or it WOULD be if their re-releases weren't few and far between) but with RE4 it's still the golden standard for over-the-shoulder Resident Evil games, so all they did with it was just make a RE2 flavored RE4 that doesn't appeal tightly to the survival horror aspects of 2, nor the campy fun aspects of the original 4, just kind of being OK at both.
I loved the original but I think the remake blows it out of the water. Everything you've said seems like an improvement to me. There are only like one or two things I think were done better in the OG but they're not enough to make me think the remake is worse
thats fair enough, but its only that people have a problem with frank and then think this one sounds good, i dont understand at all, its only a problem when its frank? sounds extremely phoned in
Ok ok I’ll leave the store. Oh god please don’t hurt me Steven.
NOT ON MY WAAAAAATCH
I don't take kindly to vandalism, I won't allow it......
Bro looks like a Baki character.
Baki characters when Yujiro pulls out the ancient technique of moving his ass hair of 1 inch (they're gonna lose the fight in 2 minutes):
I can't wait to see how disgusting they make Jo look
Can't wait to see her get humped to death by a ghost in 4k
😭 foul
she was actually shown in the trailer! only for a brief shot but GOD was she horrifying, just the way its meant to be.
Exactly what I hoped to hear 🥲
This looks like the Jo gamerpic I bought for my xbox live account back on 360

I thought I'd never feel joy again, yet here we are.
I hope that DRDR is a success so we have a chance of a Dead Rising 5.
