I just don't tell people my birthdate anymore and people who demand you to celebrate it even though you hate it are just toxic and selfish people who just want some excuse to party and give zero shits about you and your actual feelings
two days before my birthday, my sister were around and were all 'you weren't even going to remind us, were you' and i was like 'nope'.
the day before my birthday, i needed to do some shopping and get my meds, my aunt took me. they both looked at me when i brought up my birthday, and my aunt mentioned something similar, and i said 'just had this convo with my sisters yesterday'.
would've been happy to not contact someone, and almost made it the whole day, until some drunk broke into my fucking appartment and i contacted my family just in case.
I haven't celebrated my birthday in years. I enjoyed when I first got hired because nobody knew it.
Then my boss started making a big deal of it. Now I leave early those days.
Really love how half the people here hate when people know their birthdays, because of the attention it brings(Including me), and the other half posts that video of the animated rat eating on the floor with a caption like "Me on my birthday (No one cares)"
Glad to know I’m not the only one. I don’t tell people my birthday. I refuse to celebrate or accept awareness of a day that I wish that never happened.
I alternate between feeling happy and sad that fewer and fewer people congratulate me on my bday
This. Intentionally not making fanfare about my birthday, then being bummed nobody remembered it. Ah the duplicity of depression.

Depends , for me it an excuse to give my time and make that day special for the person like i would of liked , but if they don't want it it's fine to
you guys get calls? lol
Real. I'm happy so few people actually remembered my bday a week ago. I only got two calls.
I hate that day itself, in general. I just turn off my phone on that day.
Me : Hates when people wish on my birthday and so never reveals the birthday Also Me : Gets depressed and lonley because nobody cares to wish me

i hate reacting to presents so much
Nobody knows my birthday except my only close friend, if she ever remembers. It's just easier that way.
