I second this, those are some massive sale cuts and it's likely that way because of the DLC coming out soon. Probably not going to get another chance like this for a while.
I got Beyond Light for free last year on PS+, wasn’t playing at the time. Then just recently they made Witch Queen free for PS+ and I got Forsaken/Shadowkeep for like $10-$15 dollars. Started playing like crazy. Just got Lightfall for free too because of PS+.
A good amount of the content is leaving with final shape so I wouldn’t buy anything rn especially since most of it’s free for now just grind what u can

ffxiv has HORRIBLE monetization outside of making old content free though. Like it has an expensive subscription while *also* having paid content expansions and micro transactions.

The season pass for this year is free right now though, and once TFS launches any seasonal content will only require lightfall. The seasons are completely irrelevant

Don't buy the annual pass, but buying the base Light fall for 80% off is worth it.
Check the end dates of these sales as Shadow Keep, Beyond Light and Witch Queen are also free for all players for the next week or so. You can try the content, see if you like it and if so, then buy it whilst it's still on offer.

Yeah that’s probably the best deal you’ll get for a while. Lightfall + AP will get you the $20 dungeon key which makes it entirely worth it.
The Shadowkeep and Beyond light campaigns are permanently free to play but if you want the exotics you’ll still have to buy the packs next year, if you don’t get them now from the legacy collection.
No all progress is transferred so your character is exactly the same, also I could still use my exotics that came from dlcs I just couldn’t get new ones, use stasis, which I previously had fully unlocked, or play any activities contained in the dlc

Did you already buy Lightfall as a Standalone? It seems to me like you own Lightfall already and could upgrade to the annual pass for 10$. Otherwise the description doesn't make any sense on that product.
I recently saw a comment that you can't use content on another system, which in my opinion is total nonsense since bungie offers crossplay that states "Use your account on any Platform" which in my mind includes the content on my account.. I just play on Ps5 so i cant really answer that, but maybe you can try to contact the customer support. If you are kind, maybe they will grant you access to the DLCs on PC too. Its at least worth a try

You can earn weapons and armour on another system and still use them on the platform that doesn't have the required expansions.
They do not lock you out of the gear you already earned.
But they do Lock you out from using the Subclasses.
Also, as a side note. In regards to cross-save, everything being sold for the Silver currency, like the season pass and it's activities, etc, all of that transfers from a platform to another.
If you have yo purchase something with real money, in this case, the expansions, those are only available on the platform you purchased them on.
They don't transfer to other platform.
Also, Silver itself won't transfer either.
The amount you have can only be seen and used on the platform where you purchased them.

If it's Lightfall for $10, yes, you will get Strand.
The Annual Pass version gives you the base expansion, plus the 4 season passes, which all are about to end and are currently free, and the key to access 2 Dungeons which are not going away but the key separately cost $20 itself.
Those dungeons are pretty cool, but its just additional non-necesary content. You can get decent enough gear without them.
Although I haven't tested the last Dungeon's Exotic yet, so it's not like my opinion is completely valid.
Man I wish destiny does like some other mmos do and if you buy the newest expansion, you get all the old ones. It’s so hard to convince my friends to buy all the old content for loot and some exotic quests. No one wants tot try a game and play content with me and have to spend a shit ton of money
If you don't have them and want to get some Stasis and Strand play in and you want to collect some more exotics, 100%. There are some great weapons and armor pieces locked behind those as well as some fun content.
Bungie confirmed they are updating their bundles with the release of finale shape, its 2 weeks away and all the seasonal content gets removed. WAIT until then so you will have more relevant bundles
If you're strapped for cash and can't get TFS and would like more to play then sure. Otherwise I'd just get TFS, destiny expansions tend to go on sale relatively often and for a decent amount.
Given a lot is going to get vaulted here soon that's also something to consider.

Honestly. They all have an exotic that can be added to your collection and all have end game content. But it’s the only time where u can get it for cheap. Good Luck to you. Also it depends how long you play the game for. If ur in it for the long run then ur good. If not, then it’s a waste of money.

They will have their campaigns turned free to play, including the Beyond Light Subclass, while they will separate the Exotic weapons + armour, and the endgame activities into purchasable packs which will probably have a reduced price (because of how much less they are offering than right now).
So I would highly advise to just wait for the next discounts after the new expansion releases.
Also, if you didn't know, all expansions, except Lighfall and I think, 30th Anniversary too, are currently free until the new expansion releases, so you can also take this time to enjoy some of them.

I will leave my text below either way because it offers some context on the game for you, but don't take it as a suggestion anymore:
If you choose to buy Lightfall right now, which is the most recent expansion. Don't buy the "+Annual Pass" version, as the content from said Annual pass is going to be removed in a week and a couple of days, plus, all said content, with the exception of the Dungeons, was also made free right now until the time I mentioned above.
Also, for context, with removed, I mean only the story parts and playable activities.
The rewards from said activities, like weapons and armour will be vaulted until they release a new free to play activity that they think fit to reward those, or they can also incorporate said rewards into existing activities, kind of like a loot refresh, but of course, all that would make them harder to obtain than they currently are.
Same for PS5, and planning to get Legacy and maybe Armory. Have PS Plus, and Lightfall is currently free for the month. Glad it is… as, after 10 steps into the main campaign, as a casual solo player, it is already way too hard and far more a stressful chore than fun. I’ve already stopped. For even free I don’t find it worth it. But, that’s just my 2 cents.
The others are also free till Final Shape drops, and loved the first two legacy campaigns… so, definitely picking these up to do Witch Queen and side stuff whenever instead of rushing through them.

If you are enjoying them game then I’d buy them. The campaigns are some of my favorite content and if you see yourself sticking with the game it’s nice to have everything unlocked so you aren’t missing out

Yeah, those are really good prices so definitely get them. Also if you want to save more don't bother with the Forsaken package unless you just have to have access to those weapons and accessories from it.

This really ruins the new player experience. Bungie needs to create a bundle that consolidates all this old content without confusing people and possibly wasting money.
My biggest gripe is that they make collections once they vault like half the content that actually made the dlc fun I just wish we could play some of that vaulted content just to give new players who get the dlc a little taste of what they missed
This stuff shouldn’t be bundled into ANYTHING. ALL previous expansions/content should become FREE once the next expansion comes out. They already sunset seasonal content, so the only thing you’re getting by buying an old expac is a mediocre campaign that’s missing a huge chunk of the story.
This is the biggest reason this game can’t bring in new players. 95% of the game is closed off for them. You open up the map and it’s:

They're all grey market sites. Buying them from always puts you at risk. Steam doesn't like other companies profiteering from currency conversion rates and special pricing models for countries with s..t economies.

Oh, also also. According to some comments Buying the Annual Pass version is actually a decent deal just for the 2 Dungeons it offers, which, will not be removed in a week. I will leave my text below either way because it offers some context on the game for you, but don't take it as a suggestion anymore: If you choose to buy Lightfall right now, which is the most recent expansion. Don't buy the "+Annual Pass" version, as the content from said Annual pass is going to be removed in a week and a couple of days, plus, all said content, with the exception of the Dungeons, was also made free right now until the time I mentioned above. Also, for context, with removed, I mean only the story parts and playable activities. The rewards from said activities, like weapons and armour will be vaulted until they release a new free to play activity that they think fit to reward those, or they can also incorporate said rewards into existing activities, kind of like a loot refresh, but of course, all that would make them harder to obtain than they currently are.
Same for PS5, and planning to get Legacy and maybe Armory. Have PS Plus, and Lightfall is currently free for the month. Glad it is… as, after 10 steps into the main campaign, as a casual solo player, it is already way too hard and far more a stressful chore than fun. I’ve already stopped. For even free I don’t find it worth it. But, that’s just my 2 cents. The others are also free till Final Shape drops, and loved the first two legacy campaigns… so, definitely picking these up to do Witch Queen and side stuff whenever instead of rushing through them.

yes yes yes currently playing lightfall and i personally looooove it though if you buy it now (i’m assuming that’s the one with the season pass) so if you were to get it, you’d only have the season pass for a week cause that’s when the season ends. maybe wait for the next one to start up so you get more out of it?

Yeah, those are really good prices so definitely get them. Also if you want to save more don't bother with the Forsaken package unless you just have to have access to those weapons and accessories from it.

This really ruins the new player experience. Bungie needs to create a bundle that consolidates all this old content without confusing people and possibly wasting money.

My biggest gripe is that they make collections once they vault like half the content that actually made the dlc fun I just wish we could play some of that vaulted content just to give new players who get the dlc a little taste of what they missed
This stuff shouldn’t be bundled into ANYTHING. ALL previous expansions/content should become FREE once the next expansion comes out. They already sunset seasonal content, so the only thing you’re getting by buying an old expac is a mediocre campaign that’s missing a huge chunk of the story. This is the biggest reason this game can’t bring in new players. 95% of the game is closed off for them. You open up the map and it’s: “What’s this?” - you have to pay for that “What’s this?” - you have to pay for that “What’s this?” - you have to pay for that Charging people for old content is ridiculous and does nothing but hinder this game. Who in the hell would buy Lightfall if they knew how bad it was? Especially considering they’re about to nerf Strand into the ground?

I ended buying for steam at this time. Check g2a.com Ended up finding light fall and legacy for cheaper than steam. The armory was lower on steam though
G2A was a risky choice. A buddy of mine had his licenses revoked for D2 DLCs that were bought from G2A. CDkeys or Greenmangaming is your absolute best choice, as they are legit.
They're all grey market sites. Buying them from always puts you at risk. Steam doesn't like other companies profiteering from currency conversion rates and special pricing models for countries with s..t economies. Of course, chances "to be caught" are relatively low.
If youre on pc might aswell use CDkeys, the dlcs are like £8 most of the time
