I gave up on it, got at least 80 rolls of MT maybe 5 shinies and never got the auto/recomb. The last ones I wanted was Luna and MT. Finally got a non shiny Luna with Heal/Incan and that’s good enough for me.
That roll on Adhorrative has been my go-to puls since it came out what seems like 3 seasons ago but really not. I'm a scout/SMG fan, never really liked pulses until that gun and that roll. It just feels nice and just clears rooms accidentally.
a page and a half of lunas and the best i got is subsistence incandescent, not one heal clip
https://preview.redd.it/l8cigsc5uf4d1.png?width=112&format=png&auto=webp&s=3d3ebdd3270d3eda6421d36186e753ba5a1ed73d
It took me so long to my edge transit with only a day to spare. I did get a nice mountain top and lunas howl along the way but not the pve roll. I really want a Incan/healclip but idk if it’s gonna happen
If you don’t get it, remember pulse rifles are getting a heck of a bump in a couple days, and this season’s Adhortive can be crafted with that combo. Not quite the same, but it’s gonna be good. It already feels good.
It’s awful. I didn’t use it all season because it’s so ugly. Then my wife talked me into crafting it and giving it a chance and got damn is it fun to use.
It's the only crafted weapon that when I saw the available perks I immediately leveled it up with cores to 10 for the base buffs and I'm so glad I did. The thing shreds.
So much this. Never got my MT auto/recomb, never got my Luna heal/incan, etc. I think Edge Transit is the only god roll I got, and I got several copies of it.
I actually enjoyed the activity, but I have how RNG can be at times. Wish crafting was the way forward for all weapons.
You know, I’ve seen a million posts on here about RNG and how annoying it is…and bc my onslaught went very well (I was lucky) i kept thinking “idk maybe y’all need to grind harder I got like every god roll there is”…
Then this last week I’ve been solo grinding the first chest in the coil for QD/SS retold tale and I swear I ran it hundreds upon hundreds of times and didn’t get it…really is frustrating when you grind for something a ton and don’t end up getting it 🤷
This is why I didn’t lol. I got solid rolls of stuff I wanted and I didn’t push, wanted to play other games too.
Got a good Luna’s, Forbearance, Mountaintop, Recluse, Edge Transit, Hung Jury, Blast Furnace, Midnight Coup, Hammerhead. Didn’t care about Superblack so I left 2 weapon quests on the table. All of these are good rolls (Luna’s Heal Clip + Incandescant, Blast Furnace Kinetic Tremors + One For All, Forbearance Demolitionist + Chain Reaction, etc) but not shiny or min-maxed ie perfect barrels or masterworks.
My only shiny rolls are Mountaintop + Hammerhead, and the other 2 perks aren’t good, just needed the ALH/ Recombination roll. Was mainly chasing Luna’s and Mountaintop, excited to try my Blast Furnace roll after the update.
Also skipped out on the armor entirely, some of the worst Warlock armor in the game imo.
It was crazy how long it took me to get just the 3&4 column perk combo I wanted on anything, not the 5/5, despite seeing the same trash perk combos pop up again and again.
I stopped playing around the beginning of Jan this year. I hopped back on last week, finished all of rivens wishes at once and got every shiny for the guns I cared about. I shit you not when I got the blast furnace one almost right after attuning to it I was stunned. I hit the inspect button before it showed the preview so I hadn’t seen the perks yet. I glanced at my screen with the roll I wanted, looked back at the one I just got and said “Oh. My. God.” It was 100% perfect and the second one I’d gotten.
I almost have survivors guilt from the way rng smiled upon me that day
Literally me last night, I finally was like I can’t keep doing this it’s killing my brain at this point lol I had Lunas attuned this entire time and didn’t get the roll I wanted .-. But such is the game and at least we tried and we did get loot that some will not have because they didn’t take the time to do all that stuff x.x
The game should have had the shiny drop chance from the final week since it started. I played for the full month a minimum of 3x full 50 runs and then some on each character, and got not one single drop with full 4 useful perks and less than 5 items with shady 3 useful. I feel for you, me and every other poor soul that hoped RNGeezus smiled upon him...
I'd say 8
Onslaught coulda used more enemy types and maps imo (plus maybe a 30 wave version) but the gameplay loop was super fun. The weapons were all amazing too and super satisfying to farm.
Not really a raiding guy so I can't rate pantheon tho
I'd say 8.5. Pantheon was awesome for us raiders. Drop rate on the "shiny" weapons was ASS. I get you can't have every god roll you want, but last night i turned in about 700 tokens and only got 7 Shinys. That's pretty bad.
For a company that was probaby in free fall morale-wise after the Halloween 🎃 massacre 🪦🪦🪦, I'm glad Bungie was able to pull it together. Hopefully in two days I feel the same way...or better!
I don’t even care about shinys. I’ve pulled over 100 Lunas and it absolutely refuses to drop heal clip/incandescent. If I got a shiny of that roll, rngesus would probably come to my home and murder me in my sleep.
Ive been focusing that since it was available and dont have it. I gave up tonight. Everyone in my friend group got it to drop, even the one who redownloaded destiny and doesn’t play got one. I love onslaught :)
I've been trying for ages to get Heal Clip/Incandescent Luna's Howl and never got a single one until a few minutes ago. I have to get up for work in two and a half hours but just couldn't let it go.
A 10% drop rate is extremely generous for a "shiny" weapon.
I have no problem with it. I just wish for perks there was bad luck protection that didn't involve crafting (as crafting makes all non red border drops irrelevant).
If you could change a single perk on one of a given weapon for every 20 of that weapon you dropped, I feel that would be great and fix bad luck whilst making all drops important, even the badly rolled ones or duplicates.
You might be onto something here. A targeted grind like that would definitely keep my morale high and my brain engaged longer after getting bad drops. Would make me give up on grinding way less often if ever because there is an observable, reachable goal with an end in sight.
Let the eggheads at Bungo who know more than me work out the specifics but I think this is a solid idea.
I only just got a shiny Luna’s after weeks of grinding for one, and of course it was total trash. The drop rates were horrible. Would’ve been better if the ornament was something you could’ve unlocked on the gun when you masterworked it or something.
Or even just let us dismantle a shiny drop to use the ornament on another of the same weapon. In most cases, I really only cared about individual perk combos anyways, and multiple perks in the back columns were just an added bonus to having a shiny with one good decent roll.
In the entire event I saw a grand total of 4 shinies, two of which were shit rolls on succession, and 2 of which were edge transits with absolutely abhorrent rolls, we’re talking Full Court/Deconstruct, Repulsor Brace/Envious Assassin lmfao, I considered using Envious/Deconstruct before bungie announced them going out back to ask Deconstruct to tell them about the rabbits
(Pantheon was absolutely incredible though, 10/10 for raiding and it was a metric fuckton of fun, I hope they take inspiration from it for master mode raids)
Drop on shiny was supposed to be ass. That’s a good thing. Made actually getting one feel good. Too many people wanted everything handed to them. They should’ve been more rare honestly. This game needs shit like that
The drop rate is fine but do we really need a timegate for shiny?
Edit: i know you're not talking about timegate but I just wanna get a conversation going sorry
I’m really hoping they saw the success of onslaught and invest in it with new content like maps, enemy types, new loot and maybe even rogue like features you can spend scrap on (like what we saw in deep dives and the coil)
They mentioned on stream that the Taken were up to something in the background. I would have loved to see them or the Vex attacking us in Onslaught.
I feel they chose the right weapons to bring back in almost every case but some just didn't have the right perks to make them stand out. Some became amazing, some were good and others were... meh.
A great map to use might've been Twilight Gap. Seeing as it was once a weak point for us, you'd think they would want to invade it too.
Hope so, I passed on Pantheon for now as I'm still trying to wrap my head around raids and will be practising dungeons next season. Eventually I want to be as to do Pantheon!
I would love for some of the old raid encounters to be brought back for Pantheon. Imagine Spire of Stars, Scourge of the Past, or Crown of Sorrow encounters!
We can only hope, a fun encounter to make a challenge but is easy would be the sparrow race in scourge with the giant flaming servitor, just add fallen mines along certain routes.
Yeah, even as someone who didn't get clear even the first Pantheon (Hades 2 Early Access was majorly distracting and by the time I burnt out on that it felt too late to really start) and would love to have done it, Pantheon feels special because it is an event.
Turning Pantheon into an annual end of expansion closer seems ideal to me
They are keeping onslaught, the exotic missions, and the weapons (not the shiny versions). I don’t think they are keeping the armor and pantheon and the gall of champions are leaving. Ik people want pantheon to stay but they may bring it back but that’s not confirmed.
I wouldn’t mind if pantheon comes back at the end of each year for like a month right before another big expansion comes out. I would like and want the event to feel special
9.5/10
It was free, actually had some best in slot weapons, Pantheon was a way to teach people raid mechanics in a lower stake but challenging mode while simultaneously allowing you to get raid exotics and raid loot. All in all, pretty great game mode and I’m glad it’s sticking around. Hopefully they add more to it.
Considering it's all free, and they released it in the middle of a season because of a delay, I'd say 10/10
Onslaught is very fun but could use some stuff like more factions and map and mechanic variety, the armor is hit or miss though and it would bring the score down if some pieces looked a little bit worse.
Most BRAVE weapons are absolute bangers, especially considering the ease of obtaining one compared to other top tier picks, shame they're not craftable but attuning is a step in the right direction
Bringing back ZH and Whisper is great, especially considering that their crafted versions are better than the originals.
It was a destiny 1 update that happened in April lol. It added a new strike (and updated another), challenge of elders, taken and chroma armor, some weapons, and a miniature campaign.
Onslaught got me back into the game. I said I’d try it and I doubted that I’d get back into the game fully. I then saw the Prismatic subclass reveal and I immediately preordered TFS
Everything but the brave armour was 9 - 10, especially given how quickly they created this free content.
The armour sets though, no offense to the artists that made these but holy lord they are bad.
This is true af lol. The other seasons were mediocre at best with the content getting stale fairly quickly, But season of the wish brought genuinely fun activities with insanely good rewards from platinum coil runs, warlords ruin was a fantastic dungeon and starcrossed was an interesting mission. They added a shit ton of weapons overall between riven, undying and the updated blind well loot, and then they finished it off with an insanely fun content drop with into the light that brought back cherished weapons from the past as well as 2 of the most beloved exotic missions. Pantheon was the icing on the cake that just made everything perfect.
The start of the year following lightfall was rocky and it kind of stayed that way for most of the year, but these past 6-7 months have been some of the most fun and rewarding times i've ever experienced in destiny.
10/10 for me.
Really wish i got more than 10 shiny guns from playing for like a month straight, aside that, good content with minor lacking parts (looking specifically at the variety in onslaught)
Weapons: 8/10. I liked them a lot, but there could've been a little more variation in the elements and selection. Also, Hung Jury and Succession were basically dead imo.
Armour: 6/10. It's fine, some of it will look good with other stuff. Some of it, not so much.
Exotic Missions: 9/10. Brought back faithfully, yet hard enough to pose a proper challenge. Outbreak could've had a better ship, and the puzzles in both weren't super engaging.
Pantheon: 10/10. Stellar experience, bring it back soon.
Overall, into the light was a solid 10. First, it was free. The guns were awesome, onslaught was a great mode to break up the pace, especially shiny versions, pantheon was great for those that tried it, 2 exotic quests, and super black shader. The only thing I didn't care for was the armor.
9/10. Ngl. Totally got me playing the game like crazy when into the light came out after season of the wish concluded (story wise). I remember only logging on to get raid chests and shaders and stopped playing for the week to playing almost everyday.
It was definitely a 9 or 10 the weapons are amazing I love the ability to get the “shiny” versions. Onslaught is awesome we’ve been asking for something like it forever. The exotic missions are very good. I wasn’t around whenever they were released so it’s good that I was able to try these awesome missions. I didn’t play pantheon but I’ve heard mostly positive things about it and I personally think that it is a great idea.
I'd say about 8/10
The returning weapons were a nice selection and all had some great rolls. Shiny weapons are a great idea that recaptured the excitement of the old random drop curated rolls and a concept I'd love to see them do again.
Pantheon I unfortunately cannot comment on as I'm mostly a solo player but the impressions I've seen all seem to be broadly positive.
Wasent a fan of the armor designs but it was still nice to have them included as an option.
Enjoyed the lore cards.
Only real criticism would be greater map variety (maybe that will come later as the mode is staying), some kind of mode between 10 and 50 rounds and those damned invisible fallen enemies.
Hope we see another update like this further down the line.
Just happy I got my hammerhead back. Am sad I probably won’t get the new version of outbreak perfected because it is my favorite gun in the game but since I don’t really have friends that play destiny and don’t wanna drag down 2 others for an LFG group I’ll just stick with the OG
8/10 onslaught is fun but very repetitive and I feel like a hour commitment was a lot for the release drop rates (glad they changed that). Whisper and Outbreak mission were good but relatively unchanged from the originals, also sad to see my 20k kill counter on my OG Outbreak is considered a lesser version of the gun. Pantheon raid was amazing and I Ioved every second of it.
Onslaught has been horrible to me in terms of drops. I grinded it a lot, and I've only gotten some "good" rolls after dozens of drops, and no god rolls.
Pantheon alone made this 10 out of 10, everything else further surpassed anything I could have imagine from this event.
Bravo Bungie, it's really starting to feel like yall are back
6/10. Activity is fun, but the shiny drop rates are absolute dog water. Even worse after the drop rate "increase." I pretty much gave up after realizing I wasted all of my tokens on that shit. Only got 2 shinies of the rolls I wanted, overall. Thanks for taking them away, Bungie.
A good 7 out of 10. Everything was really good except for armor design really. That and on a personal note, the amount of grinding I've done to get the shittiest gold rolls is kinda ridiculous. I've gotten tons of gold, the drop rates are fine. But it feels like certain perks are weighted or something. It does not feel good knowing that I spent the last week farming Luna and didn't get a SINGLE incandescent roll. Not even on a regular version. And that's the case with a few weapons for me. And then enemy types. I get that it was a last minute thing, but taken should have been an enemy type for sure. But who knows. Maybe they'll expand and we'll get the dread as an enemy type along with a new map or something.
Either way. Very solid event, super fun, and it was all free so I'm not going to be too salty about my complaints.
10. Its got issues for sure. But it's a 10. It hits every major objective it was intended to. Brought life back to raiding. Gave a place for endgame pve and further juiced the sandbox. 10/10 please do again.
Aside from random fireteam members leaving barely halfway through the waves and team members not using weapons that deal high enough damage to kill beefier enemies, I’d give it an 8…oh, and THROW THE FUCKIN BATTERIES AT THE FUCKIN ADU, DON’T JUST LEAVE THE SHIT ON THE GROUND FOR ONE PERSON TO PICK UP!
8/10 only by weapons and onslaught, because I didn't do pantheon(LFG is scary for it)
Onslaught could've used some more but the weapons were nice(besides hung just #37463)
For being what it was, its prolly closer to 8 but my general feeling is 7. It was good for being a "free" update cause of the delay but it wasnt amazing.
Im not raider so Pantheon doesnt move the needle for me but onslaught was fun for the first few weeks. Whisper and Zero were nice to have back.
I liked onslaught more than the actual seasonal stuff and if it wasnt for ITL i prolly wouldnt have touched the game at all from the final mission of Wish til Tuesday during the timeframe at all. So it did its job but im ready to have a true campaign again.
Edit to add-on: funny to think about all the guesses on narratives/speculation about the D1 tower coming back, its Xivu invading, etc and there wasnt anything of the sort
Onslaught 8. Generally good. Some improvements would be nice.
Weapons 8 recluse was a disappointment others were a happy surprise.
Armor I don’t care about armor so I won’t rate it
Pantheon 7 scoring sucks, rest is pretty good. Didn’t like nezarec encounter.
Whisper and zero hour 9. Didn’t change much, which I like. Brigs aren’t surprising but not preferred.
Shaxx 10
Midtown map 10/10, Vostok 6/10, the one that shouldn't be named 2/10. I didn't play pantheon. Weapons 9/10. Enemies 8/10. Armor I didn't bother getting.
Spent the last 3 days grinding every weapon challenge in Into the light for super black. Was so worth it. But holy shit do I Nvr wanna see anything into the light related ever again
I think it had a great effect on the game's outlook. Drew a lot of players back in with classic weapons and showed Bungie could pump out something new. I think Into the Light's narrative of preparing for the upcoming strike into the Traveller has directly caused a lot of TFS purchases as people want to see what comes next.
However the Fallen version kinda blowed, the weeks with Arc Surge where Overload Captains and Saboteur Shanks would one-shot you at 100 resil. Most people would just orbit tll they got Hive.
8/10
I'd say an 8 or 8.5
Onslaught was fun but agree with most, a 25 or 30 Wave should have been added.
Weapons were super cool and I got lucky with RNG, so I'm good there.
Pantheon and Exotic Missions, always fun. Never got Godslayer but had fun trying 😅
Pantheon 9/10, one of the best raid times in D2.
Onslaught 6/10- cool idea, got stale for me very quickly. Needs more races or maps
Brave Weapons - 6/10 - nostalgia has never been a factor for me but some of these weapons have become meta - Midnight Coup, Edge Transit, MT. Shinies were cool as well.
Exotic missions - 10/10- best exotic missions in Destiny history, even just returning them is a massive W. The little changes were just the cherry on top.
I'm like 90% sure you can't get fourth time's the charm and target lock on hammerhead together, which definitely makes sense don't get me wrong but damn bro I really wanted the silly boss blender machine gun
8.5/10:
Onslaught was great. Good gameplay and solid rewards, my only gripe was how annoying it was to farm the items you wanted (even when attuning). I spent days this week hunting a Cascade/BnS Edge Transit and couldn’t get it. Yet I have both the PvE godrolls of Magnificent Howl as Brave variants… like a lil RNG wall wouldve gone a long way. Otherwise, pretty good but Fallen suck so goddamn much, they’re just notable harder and less fun to play against.
Pantheons were GOATED!!!! Just several raid bosses with higher level enemies and some enemy changes to add extra pressure. Most encounters were typically fun and my only poor experiences were Nezarec (shocker) and LFG. Even then, still a great time getting godslayer. W design and execution.
Only my opinion
Weapons 9/10 (Hung Jury and Forbeasance are the only things i am complaining about)
Raids 2/10 (Completly unnecessary. They couldve also brought back old raids with older updated loot then higher)
Parade-Armor 0/10 more than unnecessary and ugly as hell imo)
Onslaught 7/10 (more different enemies would’ve been helping)
A solid 8.
Onslaught itself is a nice activity in normal which lets you have fun with different builds. But on legend I havent had any fun. Specially when invisible enemies teleport to the ADU. Not sure why onslaught armor wasn't ornaments like in 30th anniversary. It forces you to use your synthweave and you can't actually collect it again from shax any other way.
Another negative point is that Bungie inititally wanted to drip-feed the weapon quests and it wasnt until public pushing back that they backed down.
Zero hour is mostly the same with some additions. The exploding shanks in the fan section is evil, but i found it funny.
Whisper, much like Zero hour remains mostly the same with some extra additions, which is nice.
Pantheon is a cool idea, however I couldn't go beyond week 2 Caretaker. So difficulty wise its not for me, but mechanically wise I do enjoy it. Heard its quite buggy on Nezerac though, so that substracts some points.
Going with a solid 8. I would have loved to see more defensive upgrade options in onslaught. Plus maybe an in between mode where you do like 20-30 waves. I really like the new PvP maps, and doing zero hour with the homies was really good. I’d say the PvP meta has been the least toxic of the times I have played, but that’s circumstantial
About an 8. Weapons are great armor is dog shit. Loved onslaught but I would’ve appreciated some more enemy types as well as an endless version, and pantheon is without a doubt the best part of this update.
First off, Price: 10/10, Made me feel like logging into destiny 1 and having to go to the reef to start that April update way back when, and being able to convince friends who had dropped the game for a bit to hop back on for "A couple activities" (Thay usually turned into 6 hours of running onslaught for those godrolls) since the update is free was amazing,
Guns:9/10, I just don't rlly care for the pulse rifles but having the Whisper and Outbreak come back as craftable is a huge positive to me
Onslaught:10/10, I'm so happy we have a good (Semi) Difficult activity that's not so hard you can't just turn your brain off but hard enough that it gives non-absolute meta builds a good couple speedbumps
Armor: 6/10, While I love the Hunter and most of the Warlock I find the Titan a little lackluster, but super black makes all of them usable
Pvp maps: 8/10, While I'm not huge into pvp the maps feel like an amazing return to form for destiny and a HUGE step forward from maps like Disjunction and Multiplex
Pantheon: 9/10 not a huge raider, but did the first 2 weeks before it got a little too challenging for my team, but actually having to not just mindlessly run through bosses with Ghally, or Goldie teams was great just wish for something like it for dungeons as that's more my shtick
Overall: 9/10 exactly what destiny needed to tide over myself until Final shape and I've gotten the same sentiment from all my friends, other than a few small things I cant really complain about. Into the light is bungie at its best and I can't wait to see what FS has to bring
Edit: Spelling
8/10. Loved the content and the armor/weapons. Which we had more time with it.
I was never going to get “Godslayer” but at least I got “BRAVE.”
Only wish the BRAVE armor had a corresponding shader so I could match my exotic armor to it.
I want Pantheon to be a permanent thing so bad. I got the Week 4 emblem at 3:30am this morning but missed out on some high scores for Godslayer, I’d love more time to grind that out, also I LOVED being able to just shop for red borders and raid exotics at the end of a run.
Onslaught a solid 8/10: the fallen version is downright unfun and getting a full completion takes a bit too long for the amount of loot you get.
Brave weapons 7/10: most of them are spicy af but Forbearance, Succession and Hung Jury had no business being there, and Hammerhead being void wasn't that great since it has steep competition with Commemoration, if it were solar it would have been better since there's no easy to get solar LMG and even then they are all below average at best.
Armor 5/10 at most: it's overall ugly and takes shaders poorly.
Missions don't care/10: already have the two guns and have no interest in running the same mission over and over again just to get a crafted version that is only slightly better than what I have already.
Pantheon easy 9/10: raid boss rush mode, can't complain, very good all around, much better than master raids, the rewards are kinda on the weak side but you aren't really doing Pantheon for the loot drops tbh
I’m SO happy we got the whisper back. It was my favorite mission ever. Idk if it stays after the expansion drops but I’m glad I got to experience it again
If it wasn't going away itd be a 10
As it is I'd give it a 9. Pantheon was fun, a little bit annoying with LFG but overall a good experience.
Loot was raining during this event, which made it feel really worth doing
The only thing I can think of saying is that the perks specific to certain weapons (like magnificent howl to Luna’s Howl) could have (also?) been origin traits, I think. Don’t know how they would have played out, but it would have been nice to have all versions of the pinnacle weapons keep their original perks more permanently.

Me too, never got that Luna's Howl roll
I finally got auto/recomb MT an hour ago.
Must be nice. I dropped well over 80 MTs without getting that combination
Same, settled for a 4/5 with Vorpal instead of Recombination and that’s the best I’m going to do.
Same here
Yeah that’s what I ended up getting and I’ll deal with it
Over 200 here, still 0 with that combo
I got it without even wanting it and it’s awesome
Thats me with a frenzy bait and switch falling guillotine
If I see another attrition bait and switch I swear ima lose it
Never found this. Best I did was Vorpal and B&S, and I kinda wish it was Frenzy instead. Oh well.
I got it on my 2nd or 3rd drop. Handling masterwork and spikes and everything. Not shiny but idc lmao. I DID get a shiny Luna with HC/MH tho
I got an auto/vorpal and said good enough.
I gave up on it, got at least 80 rolls of MT maybe 5 shinies and never got the auto/recomb. The last ones I wanted was Luna and MT. Finally got a non shiny Luna with Heal/Incan and that’s good enough for me.
Same lol
I need it. It’s the only thing I want but I guess auto vorpal isn’t bad either.
Get craftable Adhortative for PvE instead. Pulses are getting a buff and it has Heal Clip and Incandescent.
That roll on Adhorrative has been my go-to puls since it came out what seems like 3 seasons ago but really not. I'm a scout/SMG fan, never really liked pulses until that gun and that roll. It just feels nice and just clears rooms accidentally.
Don't even need to specify the perks because it's the one roll everybody's been farming for
a page and a half of lunas and the best i got is subsistence incandescent, not one heal clip https://preview.redd.it/l8cigsc5uf4d1.png?width=112&format=png&auto=webp&s=3d3ebdd3270d3eda6421d36186e753ba5a1ed73d
Adhortive looks ugly as hell though
It does look like hell…but it’s already good. It’ll only get better after the buff
Been using that roll since the gun came out, it's crispy. I just wish the gun didn't look like something that came out of the woods, lol.
Mfw when I’m gonna start grinding for the first time for the next 12 hours: *Nah I’d win*
Less than 24 hours LETS GOOO #allNighter
Like the shiny variants? Onslaught is staying and so are the weapons so you can still get them(minus the shinies)
fomo/10 but with rng
good thing they walked back on crafting and reduced the amount of patterns!
I got what i wanted but not as a shiney but atleadt for falling guillptine i got the season 11 skin
So much this. Never got my MT auto/recomb, never got my Luna heal/incan, etc. I think Edge Transit is the only god roll I got, and I got several copies of it. I actually enjoyed the activity, but I have how RNG can be at times. Wish crafting was the way forward for all weapons.
Bungie waited too late to address the shiny double perk weapons. I still didn’t get weapons with perks I was grinding for.
You know, I’ve seen a million posts on here about RNG and how annoying it is…and bc my onslaught went very well (I was lucky) i kept thinking “idk maybe y’all need to grind harder I got like every god roll there is”… Then this last week I’ve been solo grinding the first chest in the coil for QD/SS retold tale and I swear I ran it hundreds upon hundreds of times and didn’t get it…really is frustrating when you grind for something a ton and don’t end up getting it 🤷
This is why I didn’t lol.
I got my autoloading recomb on my las 10 tokens.
The pain I’ve felt farming for edge transit since week 2. Still didn’t get it
Dude I fucking feel that. All I wanted was the fucking shader and I was so close
The real god roll is the friends we made along the way
Mine was stuck and I couldn’t progress.
I'd say 8 Onslaught coulda used more enemy types and maps imo (plus maybe a 30 wave version) but the gameplay loop was super fun.
I 100% agree although out of all the tokens I've turned into the chest I've gotten 2 shinys rnjesus hates me ![img](emote|t5_2we4j|5643)
I don’t even care about shinys. I’ve pulled over 100 Lunas and it absolutely refuses to drop heal clip/incandescent. If I got a shiny of that roll, rngesus would probably come to my home and murder me in my sleep.
I don’t have the shiny variant, but I do have that roll
Ive been focusing that since it was available and dont have it. I gave up tonight. Everyone in my friend group got it to drop, even the one who redownloaded destiny and doesn’t play got one. I love onslaught :)
It’s almost enough to make you want to uninstall the game! Rngesus has never been kind to me.
I got sick of trying for that roll so I crafted it on adhortative instead since pulses buffed soon
Bro 7/70 shiny is very lucky what r u talking about lol
I've been trying for ages to get Heal Clip/Incandescent Luna's Howl and never got a single one until a few minutes ago. I have to get up for work in two and a half hours but just couldn't let it go.
We must have had ours drop simultaneously. My final try turning in tokens after a 50 wave run.
I haven’t got it unfortunately 😭😭😭
7 shinys out of 700 tokens is 10%, what do you think the drop rate should be?
I only just got a shiny Luna’s after weeks of grinding for one, and of course it was total trash. The drop rates were horrible. Would’ve been better if the ornament was something you could’ve unlocked on the gun when you masterworked it or something.
Or even just let us dismantle a shiny drop to use the ornament on another of the same weapon. In most cases, I really only cared about individual perk combos anyways, and multiple perks in the back columns were just an added bonus to having a shiny with one good decent roll.
In the entire event I saw a grand total of 4 shinies, two of which were shit rolls on succession, and 2 of which were edge transits with absolutely abhorrent rolls, we’re talking Full Court/Deconstruct, Repulsor Brace/Envious Assassin lmfao, I considered using Envious/Deconstruct before bungie announced them going out back to ask Deconstruct to tell them about the rabbits (Pantheon was absolutely incredible though, 10/10 for raiding and it was a metric fuckton of fun, I hope they take inspiration from it for master mode raids)
Drop on shiny was supposed to be ass. That’s a good thing. Made actually getting one feel good. Too many people wanted everything handed to them. They should’ve been more rare honestly. This game needs shit like that
Drop rate was fine….getting a garbage rolled shiny was not, took the excitement out real quick
The drop rate is fine but do we really need a timegate for shiny? Edit: i know you're not talking about timegate but I just wanna get a conversation going sorry
You know, a 30 wave onslaught would actually be ideal for me, now you mention it.
I’m really hoping they saw the success of onslaught and invest in it with new content like maps, enemy types, new loot and maybe even rogue like features you can spend scrap on (like what we saw in deep dives and the coil)
Took the words right outta my mouth.
9/10 only because I want them to keep Pantheon and Onslaught. Those have been the most fun I have had in D2 in a long time!
They're keeping onslaught, it's just the shiny weapons that are going away FYI
This makes me happy! Changing score to 9.5/10. LOL
I think they are moving it to the vanguard playlist.
It's not gonna be in the playlist with strikes and battlegtounds, it's getting it's own separate playlist in the vanguard node
GM level onslaught…
It's already GM level on the last 10 waves on legend.
Above gm level, -30 at max deficit.
Seriously? Does not feel like that
Yeah, starts at -10, and goes down by 5 every wave set
Because power creep and we’re really good at spamming out choke points.
You miss the bigger picture. Starts at GM level and gets *higher*
*I like where this is going*
That’s just the higher waves on legend
They're keeping onslaught? I thought everything to do with Into The Light is going?
i think only the hall of champions and pantheon are leaving, but pantheon is likely to come back as an event like solstice and dawning
Hope so, I passed on Pantheon for now as I'm still trying to wrap my head around raids and will be practising dungeons next season. Eventually I want to be as to do Pantheon!
I believe whisper and zero hour are also moving to the exotic mission rotator
Awesome! They're good missions to do and I had a few clan members not ready for them but they want to do them eventually.
>They’re keeping onslaught Great! ![img](emote|t5_2we4j|5645)
Can we still get non shiny variants of said weapons?
Yes. You just won't be able to get them from the token chest.
I feel Pantheon should be annual for gilding Godslayer, with 8 different boss encounters next time. Can imagine Sanctified Mind on Contest
Turning Pantheon into an annual end of expansion closer seems ideal to me
Pls not this guy 🫠
Agreed
9/10 they really need to keep these modes and pursuits in game!
They are keeping onslaught, the exotic missions, and the weapons (not the shiny versions). I don’t think they are keeping the armor and pantheon and the gall of champions are leaving. Ik people want pantheon to stay but they may bring it back but that’s not confirmed.
They said they're going to bring back the armor and superblack in the future, but they haven't said how or when
I wouldn’t mind if pantheon comes back at the end of each year for like a month right before another big expansion comes out. I would like and want the event to feel special
9.5/10 It was free, actually had some best in slot weapons, Pantheon was a way to teach people raid mechanics in a lower stake but challenging mode while simultaneously allowing you to get raid exotics and raid loot. All in all, pretty great game mode and I’m glad it’s sticking around. Hopefully they add more to it.
Well, Pantheon isn't sticking around (that we know of). Would love to be able to participate in it next year. I still need raid exotics.
I misspoke. I was talking about Onslaught sticking around. I should have specified. I apologize.
Np, I thought that was the case but wanted to be sure
Considering it's all free, and they released it in the middle of a season because of a delay, I'd say 10/10 Onslaught is very fun but could use some stuff like more factions and map and mechanic variety, the armor is hit or miss though and it would bring the score down if some pieces looked a little bit worse. Most BRAVE weapons are absolute bangers, especially considering the ease of obtaining one compared to other top tier picks, shame they're not craftable but attuning is a step in the right direction Bringing back ZH and Whisper is great, especially considering that their crafted versions are better than the originals.
Yeah, this and the "April Update" should go down in the Destiny history books as the dope ass free content that saved the franchise.
What was the April update? I took a break after witch until into the light
April update was in after taken king I think
yup that was a D1 reference. shows you just how often we get big free contnt updates!
It was a destiny 1 update that happened in April lol. It added a new strike (and updated another), challenge of elders, taken and chroma armor, some weapons, and a miniature campaign.
And the new PvP maps! I know they were probably just pushed up from being part of TFS but it was awesome having new maps for trials the past month.
What, you don't like icicle nipples on your Warlock?
With RGB liquid coolant I might add.
Hunter armor looks nice except the weird ass cloak, realistically i will only ever use the helmet appearance in the future though.
My hunter is currently rocking the Parade set, but with celestial nighthawk and the Guardian Games cloak from this year.
For armor I only brought the titan shoulders cause they will go good with some of the fashion I have
Wish and Into the Light carried the fuck outta the year, everyone say thank you Into the Light for giving us some faith again
Season of the witch and crota were good too
This is true af lol.
10
Overall, into the light was a solid 10. First, it was free. The guns were awesome, onslaught was a great mode to break up the pace, especially shiny versions, pantheon was great for those that tried it, 2 exotic quests, and super black shader. The only thing I didn't care for was the armor.
Pantheon please don't go. It's so fun. Getting a good amount of loot was also great.
I'd say about 8/10 The returning weapons were a nice selection and all had some great rolls.
What I got is Out of FOMO. 10/10 the longer I miss out the easier to not play and get hit by pay walls
6 and I'm being generous
I honestly forgot about the armor in its entirety
The Warlock armor is fucking ugly. That's it. Everything else is fine or great.
Pantheon alone made this 10 out of 10, everything else further surpassed anything I could have imagine from this event. Bravo Bungie, it's really starting to feel like yall are back
Only things I didn’t like were rng and the armors in the chests
Warlock armor 0/10 negative drip Guns 8/10 solid enough, a little edgy Mode 9/10 a little more variation
9/10, onslaught could use more maps, and at least another race (and a nerf to the fallen) and the parade armor is comically bad
Anyone know why pantheon is being removed?
Fomo
I got 4 blast furnaces in a row and I shit you not they all had the same perk combos. The game was definitely favoring certain rolls over others.
Free update, was a 10/10. Raid content, activity content, weapons, raid exotics reprised exotics. Absolute banger.
Didn't play unfortunately, but at least 8 from what I've seen and not played myself. Definitely could have been better in spots, but still very solid.
10/10 because it was free
I’d say an 8. Being able to attune weapons was awesome. I hope they bring that system back.
10. Its got issues for sure. But it's a 10. It hits every major objective it was intended to. Brought life back to raiding. Gave a place for endgame pve and further juiced the sandbox. 10/10 please do again.
I'd give it an 8, and if this is how the upcoming new light experience will be like, it has hope
8/10 only by weapons and onslaught, because I didn't do pantheon(LFG is scary for it) Onslaught could've used some more but the weapons were nice(besides hung just #37463)
For being what it was, its prolly closer to 8 but my general feeling is 7.
Armor I don’t care about armor so I won’t rate it Pantheon 7 scoring sucks, rest is pretty good. Didn’t like nezarec encounter. Whisper and zero hour 9. Didn’t change much, which I like. Brigs aren’t surprising but not preferred. Shaxx 10
i got bored quick i liked it but i was already so burnt out from the season i couldn’t get back into it just ready for TFS
so id say 6/10
Solid 8, now we need a 6 player onslaught
The coil felt way less boring to play but onslaught obviously has better guns
I'd say an 8 or 8.5 Onslaught was fun but agree with most, a 25 or 30 Wave should have been added.
Needs more races or maps Brave Weapons - 6/10 - nostalgia has never been a factor for me but some of these weapons have become meta - Midnight Coup, Edge Transit, MT.
Armor was kinda wack and there could have been better arsenal choices over things like hung jury and succession, I’d give it 8.5/10
Armor, 0-10. Weapons, 8-12 cause about 4 of them are useless. The price tag, 10-10. Activities, 8-10
8.5/10: Onslaught was great.
Only my opinion Weapons 9/10 (Hung Jury and Forbeasance are the only things i am complaining about) Raids 2/10 (Completly unnecessary. They couldve also brought back old raids with older updated loot then higher) Parade-Armor 0/10 more than unnecessary and ugly as hell imo) Onslaught 7/10 (more different enemies would’ve been helping)
8 because the armors are ugly af and i didn't like the acquisition method, they should have been in the Shaxx rank rewards
About an 8. Weapons are great armor is dog shit. Loved onslaught but I would’ve appreciated some more enemy types as well as an endless version, and pantheon is without a doubt the best part of this update.
Are we losing the game mode tomorrow?
First off, Price: 10/10, Made me feel like logging into destiny 1 and having to go to the reef to start that April update way back when, and being able to convince friends who had dropped the game for a bit to hop back on for "A couple activities" (Thay usually turned into 6 hours of running onslaught for those godrolls) since the update is free was amazing, Guns:9/10, I just don't rlly care for the pulse rifles but having the Whisper and Outbreak come back as craftable is a huge positive to me Onslaught:10/10, I'm so happy we have a good (Semi) Difficult activity that's not so hard you can't just turn your brain off but hard enough that it gives non-absolute meta builds a good couple speedbumps Armor: 6/10, While I love the Hunter and most of the Warlock I find the Titan a little lackluster, but super black makes all of them usable Pvp maps: 8/10, While I'm not huge into pvp the maps feel like an amazing return to form for destiny and a HUGE step forward from maps like Disjunction and Multiplex Pantheon: 9/10 not a huge raider, but did the first 2 weeks before it got a little too challenging for my team, but actually having to not just mindlessly run through bosses with Ghally, or Goldie teams was great just wish for something like it for dungeons as that's more my shtick Overall: 9/10 exactly what destiny needed to tide over myself until Final shape and I've gotten the same sentiment from all my friends, other than a few small things I cant really complain about. Into the light is bungie at its best and I can't wait to see what FS has to bring Edit: Spelling
8/10. Loved the content and the armor/weapons. Which we had more time with it. I was never going to get “Godslayer” but at least I got “BRAVE.” Only wish the BRAVE armor had a corresponding shader so I could match my exotic armor to it.
I want Pantheon to be a permanent thing so bad. I got the Week 4 emblem at 3:30am this morning but missed out on some high scores for Godslayer, I’d love more time to grind that out, also I LOVED being able to just shop for red borders and raid exotics at the end of a run.
honestly 9/10 i just wish pantheon was here to stay
They may aswell sunset onslaught because without Trophies of Bravery, Attunement or shinies its literally a dead game mode
Probably a 9. It was all great content, but there was so much of it that it was hard to play through it all in time. (Not a bad problem to have)
No auto/recom mountain top in over 200 drops.
![gif](giphy|Qu6WPG7U9zkXNyiqAP)
9. Only because 10 would make it unmatchable.
9.1/10 I spent 84.5 hours helping my clan members get godslayer.
I’m SO happy we got the whisper back. It was my favorite mission ever. Idk if it stays after the expansion drops but I’m glad I got to experience it again
If it wasn't going away itd be a 10 As it is I'd give it a 9. Pantheon was fun, a little bit annoying with LFG but overall a good experience. Loot was raining during this event, which made it feel really worth doing
8, Onslaught was a bit underwhelming, but was unique and really fun (except the legend wave 50 bugs)
8.5/10 Low shiny drop rates kinda killed it for me
Solid 8.
A little mad about my Shiny turn out, but it was fun compared to the rest of the Lightfall year.
I regret that I quit playing shortly after the Calus raid at the beginning of D2. I simply didn’t have the time to devote that this game required.
8-9/10. It helped revive the love I have for this damn game and has successfully hyped me up for Final Shape and got me grinding again.
8
