I dont think this is entirely fair, what if Chase Young provided that one extra play we needed to get by the 49ers and we went on the win the SB?
Who knows what would have happened and theres no point in trying to compare timelines. Im just glad we got Arnold
I assume there's more than one way to make a trade if the two sides are motivated. Maybe swap 1st round picks, Detroit gives its 2nd round to Dallas, and Dallas sends a 3rd and a 4th or 5th to Detroit? I am sure there a half-dozen combinations from this and next year's picks that might have worked.
Alternatively, if we did chase young, maybe we win the Superbowl because he comes up with a few key plays?
We really were NOT that far from the big game folks.
And giving up a second for Montez Sweat, like some people wanted, to pair with Aidan probably would’ve been worth it.
Not sure the point this is trying to make.
A redditor pointed this out earlier today. that twitter account is stealing our shit.
I think ESPN has stolen posts from reddit before, so wouldn't surprise me
Chase Young was never coming to Detroit, dude took plays off in the NFC championship game. He's definitely talented but doesn't fit the team at all
You need a little david Goggins in you or you aint a damn Detroit Lion man

Let. Brad. Cook.
Nope, if Arnold was always the guy, Brad finds a way to move up to get him.
That’s what I was thinking like what we used does not mean this was the only trade possible. Without it we’d just have done a different package
Exactly. This just assumes the cowboys were “third rounder or absolutely no deal”. Who knows if we even take Carlton Davis if we trade for young too
I think the niners got that pick back because he didn’t resign

He wouldn't have though
We just dont know that, you cant deny his talent and you cant deny we were 1-2 defensive plays on third down away from winning that game
He literally got benched because of lack of effort. He sucks. He wouldn’t have even been on the field for us.

I'm glad it worked out this way. Chase Young is extremely overrated. Montez Sweat would have been the better one to go after.

You mean a 1st? The Bears 2nd round pick is much higher than ours.
At the time their record was even worse. I think it was projected to be like pick 34 or 35
Round 2 pick 33 and round 2 pick 60 are not comparable. The Bears one is more like a 1st rounder
