This comes to my mind too despite the outcome of the game. Mainly because I was there and he scored in the end zone we were seated in. Iām honestly so glad I went even though they lost. Great memory.
Bruh I took my son as his first Lions game to the NFCCG (weāve never lived in or near Michigan, so easiest games to go to would be Denver, AZ, Vegas, Seattle, Cali teams.) My cousin does printer maintenance and networking for some big hotels down in Vegas. At half time he text me and said the tickets to the Super Bowl he got compād were now for me and my son since Iāve been a Lions fan since childhood.
Imagine me, with the Lions collapse, and a 13 year old I was looking at flights to Vegas for at halftime. FUCKING ROUGH lol. I had a feeling, due to the past, but my son isnāt really old enough to have experienced a collapse like that. Worst part was the disappointment it caused him. Partially my fault for telling him about the SB tix, and looking at flights - but our Lions collapsed, and I knew as soon as Reynolds dropped the 4th down fairly easy catch that the tide would turn- but I didnāt think itād be that brutal. The Vildor Aiyuk bounce brought up some reallllll old feelings lmao.
Same, had Jamo first TD and lions Defense to score a TD as a two leg parlay. I was JUICED after Jamo ran that. Didnāt hit the parlay obvi butā¦ still insane.
I loved how closely it mirrored the UM/OSU game this past year.
>30-24, 1-minute drill with a mediocre QB throwing bombs downfield to star receivers, picked off by a safety to seal the division.
Goff to ARSB for the first down and the first playoff win in 32 years + Barnes Interception in the divisional round.
My personal favorite is Montgomery 75 yard TD against the Chargers because of Jamo hustle for the blocks and just the run in general was great.
That was the first time we really saw Jamoās speed too. Dude had to slow down in order to not over run the play.. & he was 15 yards behind monty at one point lol.
This was by far my favorite play of the whole season. I get goose bumps when I watch it!![https://www.detroitlions.com/video/highlight-block-of-the-year-reynolds-hit-sparks-st-brown-s-27-yard-td](https://www.detroitlions.com/video/highlight-block-of-the-year-reynolds-hit-sparks-st-brown-s-27-yard-td)
Damnnn this a good one. Iām from Chicago I was at the bdubs locally with my lions stuff people bears fans were talking so much shit. Then that happens I blacked out. All I did was say fuck you fuck fuck you to all the bears fans. I was so loud the bdubs manger was like sir thereās kids here but I swear I couldnāt help it i was getting trashed all game about us being frauds all that shit then Justin did the dance I was so mad. I legit apologized tho cuz the kids but man lol!
They're Bears fans. They deserve it.Ā Ā I'm outĀ of state. Only fandomĀ I'veĀ consistently had extremelyĀ negativeĀ interactions with. Even GB fansĀ have beenĀ super chill
Couldn't disagree more. I live in Chicago burbs now and wear my lions fandom proudly. Bears fans, especially last year, were more complimentary than any fanbase I've ever seen. Went to the bears game in Chicago last year and thousands of lions and bears fans together were chanting fuck the packers going in and out of the stadium. It was unbelievable. Two fanbases before and after battle joining together to chant our hatred of the packers. And I'm not exaggerating when I say thousands of people, not some small minority. It was awesome!
Same. This was the moment it felt truly different to me. In hindsight it didn't go this way but just before that moment it looked like they weren't ready yet. They were better but still not able to hang with the big dogs on the road. Then this happened and with it being him and all the hype right out of the gate. That shot of him cutting across the end zone with his arms out, looking into the crowd, it just said, "We're here". I was losing my mind.
The Jamo block for Monty in LA, or the Craig Reynolds block for ARSB in Tampa Bay. Both of those plays showed the real DNA of this team. Both players could have just watched their team mate make a nice play. Instead, they busted their asses to make a key block to turn the plays into touchdowns. I know you said pick one, but I can't.
Yeah i think i have to go with either of those as well. The blockers normally wouldn't get noticed but this time they did and it showed this team has each others back.
I loved the ending of CHI @ DET. Down 12 with 4 minutes left in the game, both offense and defense clawed their way back from the jaws of defeat to pull out a raucous victory in Ford Field.
Me too, I think about this game honestly like every day. I was so unbelievably happy about the division winning game and the two playoff wins, but the Chicago game was just unreal. I legitimately thought I was going to go into cardiac arrest from the excitement. I was yelling "I canNOT believe they won that game" every 30 minutes around my house for two damn days lmao.Ā
Yes that game was also so exhilarating! The Chargers game was maybe my favorite football game of the regular season to watch as a whole. The Seahawks game was honestly up there, too, despite the outcome of that one. Really fun back and forth matches.Ā
There's really something incredible about how the team would impose itself on its opponents sometimes, and nothing highlights it better than just running it up the gut on 4th and 5. Peak.
Personal favorite was the Iffy INT vs MIN to end the game and win the division. Because my daughter (first child) was born 2 hrs before kickoff. So, I spent that game with my wife doped up and in a peaceful sleep and just holding my 2 hr old daughter the entire game and trying not to squeal like a little girl and wake everyone.
Other moments
Branch pick 6 wk 1
End of the Falcons game wk 3. I've probably been to 20 games in my life. This was the first time I ever saw them win live. I cried.
Week 6 vs the Bucs, Craig Reynolds block.
Week 9 chargers, monty's 75 yarder. Impressive run, but the hustle play by Jamo of all people to throw a block 60 yards down field to spring the TD. Gotta love it
Week 10, comeback vs the bears. Down 2 scores with 4mins left, they're driving. Somehow we pulled it off. Cherry on top is the Hutch strip sack, safety, punt ball into the stands BALL GAME.
Week 15, clinch the division vs MIN. As mentioned above. My favorite for other reasons. I'll never forget 12/24/24.
Ja-red Goff chant vs Rams pregame
Balls to throw a pass and trust Goff/ARSB to win it
Barnes Int vs Bucs
Defense: Hutch strip sack safety on Fields to secure the W
Offense: Monty 75 yard td
Dark horse: Sutton PBU to end the Rams drive with 3 minutes left. Nothing more relieving than taking the ball out of Staffordās hands in the final minutes
I love the fact that the Craig Reynolds block was into Carlton Davis. Bro knocked enough sense into him to become a Lion.
For my favorite play, it would have to be Jamo running alongside monty? and then blocking for him, basically tripping himself, for a TD. It just showed alot of character from the guy, and some crazy speed. You see that clip of Tyreek Hill where he says āthey dont pay me to blockā, but then you see our boys sacrificing themselves for each other. Just wholesome to see.
Easy. Jamo jet sweep @ SF right in our endzone corner. I got so balistically hype that I tackled my brother into the next row of 9er fans. It was the most electric moment of sports ive experienced
There were so many awesome moments, but the Packers fan pouring the beer on Amon Ra when he did the Lambeau Leap really set the tone of the year of "we are going to piss of a lot of people this year because we are so good"
I know it's likely the favorite, but I've no doubt that one of the most vivid memories for the rest of my life will be standing in Ford Field on that cold cold January night cheering against the Rams, watching JG and St. Brown close out the game with the same route that got MCDC his first win.
I would have to say the David Montgomery run against the chargers cuz that was our first game that like we saw how gritty our team was wasnāt that after the ravens ass whipping? They battled even with a bad defensive performance in LA that offense was magical.
So many favorites but gotta say just winning the first playoff game against the Rams in general. Iāve been watching the Lions the majority of my life with the same group of 4 friends. So much pain and misery in common among us. Iāll never forget the feeling of stunned speechlessness, tears welling up, sharing hugs with that group. What a special moment.

I think Jared Goff chants before and after Ramās game. I wasnāt there but if there is ever a movie based on Lions, that scene would def go hard af.
In the moment, Decker catching the 2 point conversion against Dallas
Followed very shortly afterwards by one of my least favorite moments of the season
I'm at the bar watching that playoff game against the Rams, we see Amon-Ra get the first down, but we don't think the math works yet to knee it out. But then he does take the knee, and we all start screaming and crying. Pure euphoria
Jamo TD on a jet sweep at start of SF game had me going wild
[Here it is](https://youtu.be/3NmZbeEf1wQ?si=a-bbqDSuW-pi_Okh)
You dropped this š
I am so tired of Greg Olsen
Watching this made me want to cry, all good though
This comes to my mind too despite the outcome of the game. Mainly because I was there and he scored in the end zone we were seated in. Iām honestly so glad I went even though they lost. Great memory.
That or Gibbs TD for me. I really thought we were going all the way...

I was aggressively yelling and high fiving old men at bdubs, it was electric
This has been the highlight of my Lions fandom, so far. We actually showed up to the biggest game of our lives and we had a chance.
Sammmmme. I canāt believe he stayed up the way his feet were getting hit.

Honestly this was the moment I thought the thing.

Iffyās int to seal the division

āMullens over 400 yards todayā Brutal way to start the video. So glad weāve addressed the secondary.
š skol I can't believe they cut the TD celebration out!
I loved how closely it mirrored the UM/OSU game this past year. >30-24, 1-minute drill with a mediocre QB throwing bombs downfield to star receivers, picked off by a safety to seal the division.
Yes!!!
I recorded that and watched it late wrapping gifts, I was jumping around my house nearly woke everyone up.
Goff to ARSB for the first down and the first playoff win in 32 years + Barnes Interception in the divisional round. My personal favorite is Montgomery 75 yard TD against the Chargers because of Jamo hustle for the blocks and just the run in general was great.
Dan Miller yelling "Derrick Barnes, Derrick Barnes, Derrick Barnes!!!" As his voice cracked was amazing
That was the first time we really saw Jamoās speed too. Dude had to slow down in order to not over run the play.. & he was 15 yards behind monty at one point lol.
Craig Reynolds block
Scrolled too far for this
Yup
Carlton Davis became a Lion so he didn't have to get hit like this again

Literal chills
This is it
Hutchās strip-safety for the bears come back had me acting STOOPID
And punt into the crowd to cap off an insane comeback. I feel the same man.

Damn, at least here in Chicagoland we were happy to see the lions do great. We love the lions here lol.
Was on a plane watching that game and boy was it hard to not get fired up.
That bears comeback win was absolutely wild! Lost my voice after that game!
Successful two point conversion to Decker to win the game in Dallas. (FTR)
The high was strong but lasted only few seconds
I made no louder noise than when Derrick Barnes picked off Mayfield in the middle of the field to advance to the title game.
I cried
Conversely, Barnesā whiff on Dak is probably my least favorite LOL
I also cried

Going back and watching highlights from the season and that game is the one I like to watch the most. That was a franchise altering game for us.
Same lol.
Gibbs dancing with the blonde chick on Monday night was a classic
Ha ha yessss
Two wordsā¦.. Reynolds Block
St Brown's flip into the endzone
I was at the game and that moment was surreal

ARSB first down to win us the rams game
Montgomery run against the chargers taking it to the house
Jamo blocking 50 yards down field šŖš»
The gibbs TD against Tampa in the playoffs were he just straight out ran the defense
We neeeded that one too
I loved the ending of CHI @ DET. Down 12 with 4 minutes left in the game, both offense and defense clawed their way back from the jaws of defeat to pull out a raucous victory in Ford Field.

Yes that game was also so exhilarating! The Chargers game was maybe my favorite football game of the regular season to watch as a whole. The Seahawks game was honestly up there, too, despite the outcome of that one. Really fun back and forth matches.Ā
Agreed! Dan was right about us needing a diaper haha
Maybe not my favorite but an underrated one was the Chargers game when we went for it in 4th and 5 and Campbell called a HB diveā¦ and it worked out
There's really something incredible about how the team would impose itself on its opponents sometimes, and nothing highlights it better than just running it up the gut on 4th and 5. Peak.

it's a good thing you didn't spike her and do a victory dance after the game.
Don't ever put a newborn infant in my hands with the division on the line.
Defense: Hutch strip sack safety on Fields to secure the W Offense: Monty 75 yard td Dark horse: Sutton PBU to end the Rams drive with 3 minutes left. Nothing more relieving than taking the ball out of Staffordās hands in the final minutes
D-MOās run in LA because I was fucking there and couldnāt believe it. Great game.
Craig Reynolds block to seal the ARSB TD.
Easily the first down to St. Brown to ice the playoff game against LA.
I love the fact that the Craig Reynolds block was into Carlton Davis. Bro knocked enough sense into him to become a Lion. Fake punt at KC. That was Dan saying "Welcome to the 2023 Lions. Fuck around and find out."

montyās 75 yd td against the chargers. I love a good run. Hell, really any highlight from the backs.
How has nobody mentioned Jamo's huge dive into the end zone in the Saints game?
So many great moments this season I can't pick just one. This thread got me wanting to rewatch the whole season now.
Jamo td to start the SF game. I truly was believing we were Super Bowl bound and I was going nuts. Highest of highs and lowest of lows.
Tripping on LSD in NOLA when Jamo ran for that 20 yard score
Hadnāt been to a game in years and then my bro in law invited me to the rams game. One of the best sport events Iāve ever been too.
Personally I was jumping after Derrick Barnes game winning pick vs the bucs.
The Jamo sweep to kick off San Fran was an out of body experience for me. He just kept going like he was shot out at a cannon

Reynolds with "The Block" Had me jumping up off the couch and yelling.
Winning a playoff game for the first time in three decades.
Craig's block
How about Jamo's Block on Monty's run. It look like Jamo was just jogging catching up to Monty to make the block.
read my mind. homie came in like a SCUD missle. \*correction\* STUD missle.
I'm at the bar watching that playoff game against the Rams, we see Amon-Ra get the first down, but we don't think the math works yet to knee it out. But then he does take the knee, and we all start screaming and crying. Pure euphoria

Dmoās big play because I called the cutback and Jamoās block on the end blew the top off
