I never keep my left over drills. It’s rare that you’ll need them (though, I admit that when you do, you’ll want them). It’s excess storage and space.
And also unless you buy exclusively from one company the same number will be a different shade every time.
Thanks for the tip! I have some extras from a really shiny project that I plan to use later. I also plan on using spray glue on canvas with my own pattern.
Even from the same company, dye lots will vary, just like embroidery floss. Don't use spray glue to stitck diamonds to a DIY project. Diamond Dotz sells a special glue or use Aileene's Tack-It-Over glue following directions.
I store my leftover Diamonds in 2x3 ziplock bags with number written on a cardstock insert to give the bags some stability. I store them on their side in the long cardboard boxes made for storing baseball (etc) trading cards. Inexpensive and doesn't take up much space. One box for DMC numbers and one box (so far) for Diamond Dotz numbers. I use the containers like you just bought to kit up a current WIP. If you want to seal projects, I highly recommend Minwax Polycrylic Clear Gloss as it doesn't yellow over time like Mod Podge does, plus it remains flexible on canvases, purses, etc. Happy Diamond Painting! 💎😊💎
I love using the leftovers to do some of the patterns in my collection of cross stitch pattern books. The hardest part is fining designs without backstich or half/quarter stitch.
I only use the label if I have too much of one color. I can label it and put it along the bottom. Otherwise it's pretty easy to just go by tens down the row and count across.
It’s a very addictive hobby. I personally get frustrated as I can’t work on mine hours at a time bc I neck fusion surgery and my neck will scream at me for days afterward but at little here and there never hurt anyone. I love it. Show us your finished project.
But are you this obsessed

I have more
Thank you got it on Amazon by Artdot you wanna get the 9 and the 4 pack but there is a 2 pack if you wanna go that route but overall you want to get 13 in total just to get every color I also recommend getting their chart as well
I highly recommend that you buy a zippered pouch, like a bank deposit money bag or a makeup pouch, for all of your tools, trays, tape, putty, etc. The mesh part at the top doesn't really hold anything in, so I put it all in a pouch and put the pouch in the top part
Eta:typo.
I have the same one. I use it to kit up my big projects with that have more than 30 colors. I have them numbered from 1-60 and just recycle the bottles. I wish I had the room to store my leftovers. But like the others said, the dye lots are different and it's a space hog to keep up. Too much! I just put them in a jar. I decided to keep only my DAC drills because they're really nice and I don't know of any diamond drill online stores that sell 5DResin drills. My other high-quality painting experiences like Dreamer Designs, have been disappointing as far as drills comparing. I use Minwax on my better quality canvas and mod podge on the cheaper ones. I used Minwax on a cheap canvas it dried very crunchy and stiff. That has never happened when I use it on the silky back canvases. Enjoy your new toy!
This was one of my first accessory pitches, too. I think I have eight of them now. I only do square drills and keep all my leftovers. So instead of numbering them 1-x I use the DMC colors on the lids so each one always has the same color in it. I keep expanding as I do more kits and get new colors I didn’t have before. I find it makes starting a new canvas easier since all I have to do is fill new little jars with colors I didn’t have. My total color collection currently fills eight of these. Whenever I start a new kit I just grab all the ones for that kit and then put them back into the cases when I’m done. I just found starting new kits to be boring and time consuming. This way I spend most of my time painting and not all that work in between.
Ha! I was starting to think that I was the only one who doesn't like the kitting up process! And this was my very first storage case - little did I know that I would end up with just about every type of drill storage known to mankind and STILL not be happy with any of them. 😵💫
I keep my leftover drills in a jar. It reminds me of funfetti sprinkles
Yes!!! I have a few mixed bags and they make me smile.

Thanks for all of the tips!
You are very welcome! 💎🌞💎
I’m also thinking of using my leftover diamonds for my own patterns. I just throw mine in a jar.

I have several of these cases. I can kit up several paintings at a time and switch when I'm bored easily.
Love this!!!
I have that same one!
Do you love it??
I am enjoying it. I have only finished one painting so far, but am on my second and I love having it all organized. Makes things so much easier.
That's the one I got, I like it.
Are you using the little white labels that came with it? I put one on 310 but the rest are free for all.

My husband bought me one. I love it! It’s perfect for what I need.
I have a similar type of organizer and I love it. It does have a foam insert and a pocket though.

I'm literally only a third through my first project and I love it so much I bought like 10 more, plus a kit like this. I think I have a problem lol
