Thanks for posting this! I also bought a fold up table for larger paintings and wasn't sure how obsessive that sounded π€£ but it's so nice and convenient to have the extra space to work!
That way you can fold it back up when you are done with your craft for the day and it is not taking up so much space in your home. I live in a townhouse, so I feel you on the limited space problem! π
I just started! Iβm almost done with my first diamond painting. I ordered two diamond painting kits from Amazon first to try out the art & see if I actually enjoy it. Needless to say, the very next day after trying diamond painting, I placed an order with Diamond Art Club for premium diamond painting kits. Iβm going to finish the Amazon diamond paintings first so I can continue to practice on drill placement and using multi placers. Iβd hate to screw up on one of the DAC paintings since they are $$$.
Same here! Amazon is great for some decent affordable kits. Yes! The one in the picture is the first one I've ordered from DAC, they are pricey but bloody pretty. π
You'll have to post some pictures of your paintings, would love to see em! Looking at everyone's DPs on here is oddly satisfying π
I did post yesterday my first diamond painting that I am almost finished with. It is a sea turtle painting that I got from Amazon just to try out & practice the art. π
I just keep mine rolled up halfway and then work on the right side, then roll that side up and unroll the other, then work on the left side, then I do the top and bottom by picking up the canvas and rotating it and rolling it back up as needed for space. I also do my DPβs on a bed so there is room to fully unroll it if needed. As for reaching into the middle, I drag it into my lap so what I need is closer. Mine is a similar size (29x22) so these tips should work for you, I hope I explained them coherently.
I use a table/tray made for working puzzles on. Like these:
[Puzzle Trays and Tables](https://www.amazon.com/s?k=puzzle+trable&crid=3KO47FP8WAXEX&sprefix=puzzle+trable%2Caps%2C149&ref=nb_sb_noss_2)
I only roll out the part I'm working on at the time, keeping the ends secured with clothes pegs. That way I can work on a table or small surface without having it be hit by me moving around.
I do mostly large projects and it took me a while to get set up as I like to DP in the great room, not in my craft room. I have a computer table that pulls right over my lap on the sofa. It is adjustable so I can sit or stand (it was very hard to find one that adjusted low enough to work with the sofa).
I place a 36"x24" magnetic white board on the desktop as it extends the work area a bit. I start my project at the very top and fold the rest of the canvas underneath the whiteboard and it hangs down on the side opposite to me. I shift it back and forth as I work, if it is wide. I keep pulling it up and eventually the finished section starts to drape down the back of the table. If it is really tall, I will double the part that would be landing on the floor back onto the top of my table (I'm only working on the row at the part of the table closest to me) and use really strong magnets to keep it there.
I was a bit worried about folding the unused canvas under but the crease goes away once covered in drills. This setup has been a perfect for me.
I have a pretty large diamond painting coming and I plan on using a fold up long table that we have for parties & what not.

Ah that's a great idea! I'll definitely have to look into that, thank you π

I never thought diamond painting would be this addicting, could do with a whole room just for it π

Roll the parts your arenβt working on, I did that with my last mural sized one.
This [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeJ7qA48cYs) is very helpful for working on a large DP in small spaces. :)
Oh you angel! Thank you, I'll check it out! π

Maybe a med size tv dinner table thingie. You can fold them up and put it away when not in use.
