Edit to update:
First off big thanks from me to all you kind redditors for confirming that the hobby side of Reddit is such an awesome place full of awesome people.
The whole family had not heard of Reddit. *This* was their introduction. The parents are super proud of their son, and the kiddo is overwhelmed at the support and encouragement. He’s been massively energized by the feedback, thanks you all, and has many more ideas he wants to try out. And yes, he wore goggles and gloves while handling the epoxy resin.
I told them that so far the post has garnered 133,000 views. If all the viewers were passengers and crew, it would take 41 Titanics to hold them all.
I’ve given mom directions to the local hobby shop that has thousands of model kits in stock. I’ll provide her with a shopping list of quality model glue, snips, files, paint, brushes etc. Rest assured his hobby skills will be nurtured.
That's really heartwarming and brilliant to hear! Hopefully, the beginning of a lifetime of happy hobbying to come. To be honest he's better than I (36) am already, and I can only hope my son (currently 1) is interested and keen so we can improve together as he grows up.
That's awesome. Very well done!

Brown fucking markers damn
Yabadabadoooo🙃🤪👍
Super rad.
Damn I’m starting to feel bad about that ashtray I made my mom in 5th grade (she doesn’t smoke)
Holy cow, kiddo! That’s absolutely amazing!!
Good. This will definitely boost my confidence... Jokes apart, insane work.
I was the kid checking out the adult books in the Titanic when I was a kid in the 1980s. But this kid is putting me to shame!
I want one... Amazing job kid, this might be something that you want to stick with.
This is very good. The resin gives it a kind of frozen in time, or a relic kind of feel.
