I don't understand how a guy can comment about how impressive DJI's transmission signals are, and all he gets back is criticism.
Very impressive OP. Don't get all worked up about these regulations, just use common sense and don't fly in restricted areas and you'll be just fine.
Good way to advertise breaking the rules, What’s the point of flying that far 😂, I’ve flown all over the world and I have never wanted to test my drone limits.
How are you going to retrieve it if it dies 4 miles out, or you encounter strong winds with no way to return home. Seems like a childish game. I film cinematic sequences and I always suggest to know what your subject is before flying,
Unless you’re using your drone for surveillance or malicious purposes. To each their own I guess.
Bud you’re not going to get a lot of love on this sub when you’re breaking the rules Because breaking the rules impacts all of us. When anti drone lobbyists approach legislators they show them evidence from this community… states will create harsher and more strict drone rules. If you don’t see the implication of breaking the rules and posting about it, you don’t deserve to be flying ✌️
Because it's people like OP that ruin the hobby for everyone else.
Also, why are you so pressed over the way the comment you're replying to is bothered by the way OP wants to fly their drone?
Irony much?
I don’t know what drone you have but I will do a test today on VLOS on my mini 3
And about the wind I watch the wind patterns we just got done with 3days of wind blowing 45 to 60 mph so we have 2 days of light winds
It's not BVLOS of you have really good eyesight! Or telescope. /s
TBH, how many of you can fly more than 50 meters off, look at your display to adjust framing and then instantly locate light grey dot on bright sky?
Yeah I know I mean I got to 3000 and still could fly but it was getting near the end I mean I could still fly normally but could see some interruptions ever so slightly so not bad
So you are telling me you have clear line of site and can see your Mini 3 drone from nearly 4 miles away?
Or are you telling me you flew illegally and posted the proof on the internet for the FAA to see?
Binoculars are not allowed for VLOS, the only apparatus you can use in the UK, Europe and the USA are Standard Prescription Glasses.
Yes I primarily fly in the UK.
Just a qualified drone pilot here in the UK, when people break the rules the CAA here make the rules harsher and reduce our rights with drones, all because people who don't follow the rules break the rules.
Ah great, another moron proudly displaying how ~~dumb~~ cool they are to the world. Why do you have to promote shit that is clearly illegal? Why not do your research and then shut the fuck up? It's like taking a selfie video stealing a kitkat as you walk out of the store. It's not bloody murder but why share it? We are already at risk having our gear bricked for bullshit politics, and you promote *" Hey, look at me breaking the rules! Look how cool I am!"*
To all the users who are constantly annoyed by this dumb shit for god knows how long, here is the flight standards district office contact information. I'm sure they will love a flood of emails with links and dates explaining all the shit half of these dumbasses do. Aircraft pilots hate us already, let's start feeding them some red meat.

MODS! DO BETTER!
I don't disagree with your point but I do disagree with the way you're making it.
People who know the rules and are deliberately ignoring them aren't going to change their mind with this kind of approach.
People who do not know the rules could learn from this but pretty unlikely if the point is being made so aggressively.
And, for whatever it's worth, the mods aren't lawyers and aren't up to speed on every regulation in every city, state, province, territory or country. We'll remove flagrantly unsafe or dangerous stuff but we're not in a position to review every single post for a potential infraction of a rule in every last corner of the world. Sorry.
First of all I’m not a moron not my fault I live in a rural area that I can fly that far without no airplanes no houses
And Apparently you’re having a bad day
You can see two miles away? You're delusional.
My day started off seeing a moron brag about how moronic he is, it's an annoying start. It'll get better, thanks for your concern
Vlos is possibly the most ridiculous rule ever made it’s safer flying from controller actually having an idea of bearings than straining your neck up constantly too figure out where you are and fly from there this rule was most likely written by someone who has never flown a drone it’s insane stop being such a baby and just let this man appreciate and enjoy the product he has brought without being an ass
I only get around 2400m over open water. How did you get 6000 meters? 😂
I only run my controller and drone no filming and I am on top of a canyon wall
Are you in a CE or a FCC country? ce is a joke, you could try "switching" to fcc
How does one go about switching to FCC?
There are so called "fcc hacks" for all the drones so depends which one you have, but that's illegal so definitely don't do it
Thank you. I’ll definitely NOT do that because it’s illegal, and I’d never break drone laws. Cheers 😂
Why are all of you suddenly acting like you always only fly line of sight?
bc this subreddit is cringe
Is there another one where the DJI police aren’t around? Someone should make another and mod them out.
try r/drones
You have to act like it in case the FAA looks through your comments /s
Thank you
I mean..
😂Damn!
Furthest I’ve fly my Mavpro2 is 2miles over open ocean when filming [humpback whales](https://youtu.be/TkGBRST24JE?si=Au7saL-rezTrBSyi)
Pretty epic, thanks for sharing
Thanks! The shots of the whales and dolphins swimming together has to be my favorite thing I’ve ever captured on camera, so majestic!
Inspiring thank u for sharing awsome footage
Wow. Impressive. What was the terrain like? Any obstacles in between?
I fly in a canyon with no houses, no cell towers and I set on top of the canyon wall
I don't understand how a guy can comment about how impressive DJI's transmission signals are, and all he gets back is criticism. Very impressive OP. Don't get all worked up about these regulations, just use common sense and don't fly in restricted areas and you'll be just fine.
I never fly in restricted areas and thank you it’s a Monday so the mad at everything
This is on a factory battery to my goal is to hit 4 miles and back
Good way to advertise breaking the rules, What’s the point of flying that far 😂, I’ve flown all over the world and I have never wanted to test my drone limits. Most of them are angry people that like to complain about everything even the air we breath I don’t want to talk politics
Then stop breaking the rules. It's because of people like you that fun is being ruined for others.
😂
WOW ?
Because it's people like OP that ruin the hobby for everyone else. Also, why are you so pressed over the way the comment you're replying to is bothered by the way OP wants to fly their drone? Irony much?
Bless your heart mate , must be hard being as boring as you 😂
Yeah, cool "comeback", you really got me there.
Alright mate 😂
I don’t know what drone you have but I will do a test today on VLOS on my mini 3 And about the wind I watch the wind patterns we just got done with 3days of wind blowing 45 to 60 mph so we have 2 days of light winds

Is that even legal?
Outside of VLOS? The FAA is going to hunt you down now, there might possibly be some water-boarding involved. What have you done?
Right lol I'm going to do testing on VLOS today
Where was this ?? Us or eu
Us
Eu wouldn't get nearly as far lol
Yeah I know I mean I got to 3000 and still could fly but it was getting near the end I mean I could still fly normally but could see some interruptions ever so slightly so not bad
So you are telling me you have clear line of site and can see your Mini 3 drone from nearly 4 miles away? Or are you telling me you flew illegally and posted the proof on the internet for the FAA to see?
I have binocular if they want to know and there is nothing but farm land are you in the uk
Binoculars are not allowed for VLOS, the only apparatus you can use in the UK, Europe and the USA are Standard Prescription Glasses. Yes I primarily fly in the UK.
Well I’m sorry but no harm no foul
Why are you being such a butt I have seen many flights that go 30,000 feet and you know you can’t see the drone that far
I have been flying for 9 years
This isn’t helping your case
Then you should know what the rules are and should be very good at finding them and following them.
Yes I do if my drone goes down nothing hurt but my pocket book
So because someone else is very in the wrong that makes you in the right?
Well you are the one that will get the fine and the prison time I guess.
I do not think they care so much internet is also a very big place
I'd say [We're Not in Kansas Anymore](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQLNS3HWfCM) but it would appear you are/were lol
Yes miles of open canyon and no houses
Makes no difference to the law!
You guy have a good day and if they call me or visit me I will let you know Good day
