Metal/Stone/Crystal are display pieces that make noise and damage themselves, one another and everything on the table.
I love my metal dice, i have a set i use for stats exclusively, and i usually use metal for d20's.
That said it is much easier to roll a whole handfull of plastic die and the result is so satisfying.

I have a set of metal dice, and I hate using them. They don't roll well, and they are too loud.
I have metal too. I bought a cheap leather dice trap off Amazon and it's much better with that
Yeah I got one of those too... they still don't feel good when rolling I'd rather plastic
get the OG 0-9 twice D20s, black ink is for 11-20, white ink for 1-10.

I second URWizards, they have beautiful gemstone and glass sets. A couple of my favorite d20s are from there.
