Jup! And it's not even like I give him that much it's only a very sometimes treat. But when I'm making grilled cheese he will sit there staring at my every move like at a tennis match.

Nice spot, I love that book so much! Tommy loves the beach and will spend hours digging and playing in the sand. (He hates the ocean because it's wet) He doesn't mind being next to me for a little.
And yes usually, if we don't do something about it before getting home he has sand all over, even in his nose because of all the digging:)
What breed is Tommy, he looks like my Paxton, who is white with a couple brown spots and has smaller less floppy ears than Tommy. Terrier mix of some sort is what I believe my Pax to be.
He does have a santa hat but I don't know if he liked it.

I recognize that yes. Hair cuts are evil, common knowledge xD. Tommy is a kaninchen (smaller) Dachshund though, he is of the wirehair kind and they have a beard, that's how they are usually groomed (I dont know if the same goes for female wirehairs)
Wirehair doesn't sound soft but he is I promise!

He is so cute, I have a bearded terrier too ! Just had her at the groomers to get the haircut for this weather (she was not amused).
