I have pepper spray in the car that's just been used once because of a random neighbor dog that all I have to do is spray near it and ran off. For personal defense I have a little zapper that charges via USB c. Never had to use it on a doordash delivery but I have walked out to the mall and had somebody near my car and a good zapt as you approach keeps them away. I really rather not deal with the paperwork or whatever using it on a customer or whatever.

I thought long and hard about this and after a few weeks I decided not to carry anything at all. People instantly recognize me as a Dasher/Uber Eats driver, probably because I have my phone out walking into restaurants. If someone wants to rob me, they have the jump on me, and all my pulling a gun will do is get my brains blown out. I didn't carry as a taxi driver either. The rear-seat passengers have a clear tactical advantage.

There was a post a while back where someone was getting an order out and these two guys tried to rob/carjack him, and they tried to pull him out of the car and he pulled his gun on them and it saved him. I don't carry a gun but just saying. I carry pepper spray and a stun gun.
